I like to think of this piece as the"courtship" It is sooo cute. He's playing the violin to impress her and she's coyly reading a book like she's not interested. This is one of two pieces that I have that there is a flaw she is missing her pinky on her left hand. I tried to get a close up on it so you could see. Otherwise this piece is flawless. This is a rare figural lamp created by the Volkstedt factory of Germany of Napolean and Josephine! It measures 9 1/2 inches to the top of the figure and a total of 21 1/2 inches to the top finial over the harp. Displays excellent with some minor damages. Her purse strap and both the bow on his hat and the bow on her dress have chips and there is a rough patch on the paint to his elbow. His arm was not broken. Raphael Bust Vintage Dresden Lace Porcelein Dresden by Avis Rare pretty LOOK!!!
You are bidding on a bust of a boy that I think is made by California Dresden by Avis. I looked online and did some research and learned that there are similar ones however the hair is a little different. There are no markings on it and the ones from the 1950’s have all smooth hair. This one has curls that flip up all over the head part. I tried to capture good pictures so you can see it. I did notice a crack in the tie but when I flip it over only part of the crack is on the inside so it has not been repaired. I cleaned it a little bit but was afraid I would hurt it if I cleaned too much. The lace on it is real lace and stiff. I did not want to get it wet. It is hand painted and the color on it is really great. Rosy cheeks and all. Bavaria, Germany by businessman Oscar Schaller. In 1917, the company was taken over by Gebruder Winterling O.H.G. and renamed Oscar Schaller& Co. Nachfolger. By 1950 the company was incorporated becoming known as Gebruder Winterling A.G. and all marks used previously were changed. The mark on this piece was used from 1946-1949. Source is PM&M mark#2-27. This plate displays a Dresden style multi-color floral ... moredisplay with 4 gold cartouches and a large center floral spray. The condition of this decorative plate is excellent. We can find no defects or damage. There are no chips. Nicks, cracks, hairlines, rubbings, or scratches. The gold is applied in a fairly narrow double band that accents its lightly embossed edge. This is a stunning large handpainted figural grouping created by the oldest Volkstedt factory of Germany! It is a gorgeous piece with wonderful details. The lady is making rose garland and the gentleman is holding up a wreath in one hand and a scroll in the other. Measures approximately 10 1/2 inches high by 8 inches wide and displays excellent with minor damages. Some of the leaves and roses are chipped, one is missing on the back of her garland and the scroll in the gentleman's hand has a tiny chip. Three reticulated side plates. All from about the same era, are being offered together. 1) Dresden Shumann Bavaria. In exceptional condition with no gold loss, colors are very bright and the whites are clean. There are no cracks, chips, stains, repairs or marks, and measures 7 1/2" across. I would call it perfect but due to the small stray transfer fleck, it is not. 2) Bavaria. This bottom stamp is in cursive green paint. It looks to be Dresden. But no crown or identification to indicate this. The gold is intact, colors very bright and whites are clean and glossy. It is also in excellent condition with no cracks, stains, chips or repairs. It measures just over 7 1/2" 3) Bavaria Schumann Germany. Forget-Me-Nots. This plate is striking, and more bowl-shaped than flat. It measures 7 1/2" across and stands an inch in height. The ... moregold is thick, the pattern transfer on the face is unmarked and bright, with no repairs, cracks, chips or stains. I have yet to see another in this wonderful condition! RARE Schumann Porcelain Reticulated 8" Square Dish Gold with Dresden Flowers
Up for consideration is a lovely Schumann Bavaria porcelain dish. The dish is square with reticulated sides painted in an antique gold color. And the bottom of the dish decorated in Dresden flowers on a white background. The shape and design of the sides of this dish are quite unusual and I haven't been able to find one like it. While some are reticulated, they don't typically have the scalloped tops coupled with the ornate corners and curved sides. The mark on the base dates this porcelain to 1930 or earlier. It measures 8" square and about 1 3/4" tall. There is one small chip on the side(see last photo) but not obvious due to curved top. There is very minor wear to the gold paint. Beautiful!

Up for auction is a rare. Very large parrot or blue& gold macaw figurine made by German porcelain manufacturer Sitzendorf. This handmade and hand-painted old bird figurine is a wonder to behold- with incredible, lifelike details and gorgeous colors. This adorable. Vividly hued bird stands on a stump decorated with an amazing array of hand-appliqued green leaves and"Schneeba l l" or"snowball" flowers. Each individual flower petal and leaf is distin ct. The bird looks as if he's in the middle of stretching his wing and leg out in the com ical way th at real parrots do; he has a sweet and contented expression on his face(just l ike a real parrot often does when performing this relaxing r itual! The figurine measures approx. 1 2.5" tall by 5.25" deep by 5.5" wide(3 2 cm x 13cm x 1 4 cm) and is stamped ... moreunderneath with the blue undergla ze Sitzendorf mark. Antique Porcelain Lace Dresden Style Victorian Boy & Girl Figurine Figures
This is a pair of colonial or victorian boy and girl porcelain figurines. Each is handpainted and has beautiful ruffled edges on their clothing made of porcelain and accented in gold gilt. They each still have their foil stickers. Each are approximately 4 inches tall. 3 1/2 inches wide. Both in excellent condition with just a few minor chips to the ruffled edges which isn't really noticable and they are a little dusty. This is a Beautiful Dresden Lace Victorian Lady Figurine by Sitzendorf which was manufactured in Germany. Her skirt is accented with porcelain roses. Marked on the base with the Sitzendorf Crown and S. Approximately 8 1/2 inches tall and 5 inches wide at her widest point. This figurine is in very good used condition with lace loss to her skirt and the bottom of her skirt. She also has a few dots of discoloration on her skirt. Porcelain Mini Lamp Flower Encrusted Unmarked No Chimney You are viewing a tiny porcelain mini lamp that is encrusted with flowers and a painted butterfly. The flowers are both sculptural and painted. The burner has been very crudely cemented( to the lamp base and the turn screw says Night Lamp on it. It would take a wick. It does not have a chimney. It is approximately 3 1/2 inches tall. There are two missing flowers that you have to feel for. Looking at the lamp. It really looks perfect. The burner fitting is corroded. Cleaning will be up to the buyer. The lamp is unmarked but looks very much like it could be Meissen or Dresden or at least in that style. Antique Porcelain Exquisite Dresden? Compote Bowl/Centerpiece W/3 Figurines!!!!!
From my 30 +++ years of collecting antiques. This is an antique Dresden style porcelain compote bowl/centerpiece with 3 figurines. The large procelain compote/centerpiece stands approx. 18 3/4" at it's highest point with the diameter around the bowl measuring approx. 28" 29" around the bottom section. The top opening of the bowl measures approx. 12 1/2" across x 13 3/4" across, at the longest points. Bowl is decorated with raised oak leaves and beautiful floral sprays of applied flowers. The bottom of the compote has a 3 footed base section. On the base of each foot, there are 2 open flowers, 2 closed flowers and 6 leaves on each. In this section, the pedals have chips on all the flowers except ONE. See photo#7& 8) One leaf is chipped and looks like 1 more has a"fleabite" chip. Otherwise, the rest ... moreare in good condition. The middle section has 3 figurines measuring approx. 4 1/2" 4 3/4" high. There is a large flower between each figurine. It has an approx. 8 1/4" pedestal with beautiful raised leaves and applied flowers. The 3 figurines, the 3 large flowers between them, and the leaves/flowers climbing up the pedestal are in excellent condition with no chips or damage that I can see. However, the very top section of the pedestal(where it attaches to the bottom of the bowl) has an approx 3" area that is chipped. See photo#9) Because of the location of this chip, I never know I had this until I was scrutinizing this porcelain to sell. It is underneath the bowl, but is present, nevertheless. Also, if you look at photo#9, you will also see 2 small flowers with a chip pedal on each. Except for these 2 small flowers, all the others on the bowl itself are in excellent condition! I know this piece is old, but I am no expert and do not know it's exact age. Underneath is marked M-632. See photo#11) Again, I do not know what this means. The smaller one is by K& Co- the design is called"Poppy" This has a large crack- though the crack is stable. The larger is a pattern called Dresden- I do not know the maker. But the registered number( 36731) dates it to 1885 or just after. This one has a big chip on the back of the rim. So these are not perfect. But decorative and useable antiques. Sizes: the larger one is 9 inches wide.
