This auction is for a Collectible Meat Plate/Serving Platter. This plate measures about 13 1/2 inches long. 10 inches wide and 1 1/4 inch high. This is by Dresden China. As can be seen from the picture, this item is very old, but I really don't know the age. I found this in my parents attic when I had to clean it out. There are 3 or 4 very small chips that I can see around the rim, a few marks in the middle of the plate, and there is a discoloration as can be seen from the picture due to age. I have for you this evening a singularly beautiful and uniquely rare piece of amzing porcelain decorated in Desden Germany and of unknown manufacture but definitely from one of the more important porcelain factories in the area as the quality of the porcelain is the highest and the mold shape is just exquisite and unparalleled in its form and beauty. This is a masterwork of molding and of design and decoration. The mold shape is that of a leaf with shell like delicate edges all the way around and an open handle on one side. The decoration is flawless in its execution with gold gilt scoll work and basket weave so popular at the time of its making as well as the beautifully painted scene of a courting couple in the manner of Watteau. The flower embellishments along the inner rim are beautifully painted and the gold gilt work is masterfully ... moreapplied. The gorgeous purple accents around the rim set the piece of nicely and really add to the eye appeal of this already amazing piece. This will make a great addition to your collection and would look lovely in your cabinet and equaly as nice gracing your table. Item dimensions and dating: All measurements are approximate: This piece measures 10" long and 7.75" wide and stands almost 2" tall at the top of the handle. Charming miniature Dresden teapot by Helena Wolfsohn whose mark of AR dates from 1871 onwards.definately 19th Century The company won many awards and decorated whiteware from other companies. Meissen challenged them on the AR logo which looked very similar to their early Augustus Rex mark and so they added a serpent to the AR after 1879. Decorated with a hand painted courting couple. Lots of gold and rich purple background on the sides with pastel flowers. Stands 3 1/4' tall and is 4 1/4' across. A marvelous addition to your miniature or teapot collection.

It has a love hand painted scene in the center with two ladies painted on a gravestone. They are painting a heart with an arrow in it. The urn has a crown mark on the bottom with a cursive D under it. We believe the piece is late 19 th century from the Dresden Germany area. The bottom is loose and the top of the urn cannot be tightened. The hardware on the inside looks to be a replacement. The center spacer(between the urn and the plinth) has some paint loss and painting over the glaze. We cannot see the repair. But we believe it was repaired at one time. That may have been when the hardware was replaced. There is some gilding loss on the plinth.

An antique(not dated- I am guessing this piece dates from 1933-1945) German glass wine decanter. With decorative metal handle. Marked on porcelain stopper: Glasindustrie Dresden. D.R.P. 58602 u. 59915” D.R.P. stands for“Deutsches Reichspatent” Made in the city of Dresden(I am not aware of when this was brought to America) The metal band is stamped: Glasindustrie Dresden. D.R.G.M. No. 102886(the last three digits are shallow, and hard to read) D.R.G.M. stands for“Deutsches Reichsgebrauchtmuster” The handle is cast metal. In the form of a stylized serpent. The rear metal strap for the stopper is not original(but is old) The rubber gasket inside is original. And has some cracking(dry-rot) but is intact. I would not expect it to form a good seal any longer. The metal parts have remnants of a silver-toned wash or plating, that has wear, visible ... morein the photos. No oxidation or corrosion. Hand painted to the front. With German phrase, and flower motif. There is a sheet metal(silver) shield mounted to the front on the clasp on the stopper(Fur Erinnerung an die Silberne Hochzeit” to commemorate a Silver Wedding Anniversary) Approximately 11” high. Base is 3 5/8” in diameter. I am not aware of the liquid capacity(perhaps one liter) I have seen a couple of other bottles like this over the years(not hand-painted. Though) so I believe that they are not extremely rare, but are scarce.

Jansson married his sister Elizabeth Hondius and became a partner in 1633. The map is being sold unframed as seen in the first pic. It is a rare map with nice detail of the era showing Leipzig, Dresden, Meissen and many other towns. Size: The map image measures approximately 13 1/2 by 19 inches on a 16 by 20 1/2" page with a margin all around for matting as seen in the pic. Condition: The map is in Fair condition for its age with overall tonal ageing as seen. At a later date the map was backed with another sheet and the margins slightly trimmed for a collector's personal atlas. In general there is some edgewear with the backing sheet showing through around the edges and in a few spots of paper loss as can be seen on the pics. There is light backprinting. Plate residue, smudges, light creases along the centerfold as seen in the pic. We have provided plenty of good close up pics so you can see the actual condition very well. I have here a beautiful and wonderful"Von Schierholz" Dresden China. Cherub child, lidded container and an equally lovely little Dresden oval mint dish and larger elegant bowl. All are in wonderful condition without any issues, no chips cracks or missing pieces(please check pics) The lidded bowl with little baby on top has flowers along with him, a little blue daisy, a yellow pansy and a very pretty"6" petal pink rose with two leaves. This particular style came in varying sizes and I have here the tiniest(4inches wide by 4 inches high) The maker's mark is on the bottom- Made in Germany 1817" hand painted. Trimmed in pure gold throughout with no wear marks. The little oval"Dresden Mint Dish" is just as lovely.very beautiful floral design with wonderful gold trim. The cut-out lacing makes this little dish ... morelook so delicate.measures just 5 inches by 3 inches) Underneath it is simply stamped"Germany" in gold. This piece is numbered 8839-1. Measures 5" x 2-1/2" x 6" ht. There are two flaws that are not very noticeable: she has a hairline crack on the back of her neck, and the base of the piece has a chip at the back. There are none of this figure on ebay and she was not easy to find anywhere else. Either- so she's a rare girl! Nice antique Volkstedt Dresden lace lady with her children and a goat. Measures 8 3/4" high and 9" wide. The lady has 2 spots of broken lace down at the bottom layer in the front of her dress. Damage to the bottom layer of lace on the back of her dress and the back of her right sleeve has some missing lace. The childrens dresses appear to be fine. Marked on the back of the base with the Volkstedt mark.
