Includes some two-page panorama photos. Hopefully those reading this are familiar with this type of book(see also the Jessie M. King books from this series, such as Album von Berlin. No printing date. But an inscription inside left from the summer of 1909. Many from this series were published by Globus. The publishing arm of prominent Berlin department store Wertheim(and I think the actual printing was subcontracted to Alexander Koch in Darmstadt- thanks to Colin White's ... morework on Jessie King for the Wertheim info) The design of this book, including title page, looks like Globus, yet there is a sticker(original to the period it was made) over top where I would expect to see Globus, instead reading"J. Karlebach, Dresden. Since I believe Koch printed the Globus, it is possible they or another printer made books in this format for other cities. Book approx. 10.5 inches x 13.5(27 x 34.5 cm) Weight approx. 445 grams. Overall good used antique condition. No ripped or missing pages. Yet cover show signs of wear and loving use(these are the types of books that people love to look at. Then and now) Images are more bold. Crisp and stunning in reality, much better than the photos. Vintage quilt top pink Dresden Plate
Very well done Dresden Plate Vintage quilt top. Ready for you to quilt. The center green print circles are pieced in, not applique(we all know how hard that is) and it lies flat. The background fabric is a very pale pink. Hand stitched. Fabrics from the 1920's to 1930's. Measures 69" by 86" A few small brown spots(see second to last picture) I have not tried to get out. I think they could be reduced or completely eliminated. I don't think this one was ever washed. I didn't find any weak fabric. I try to find any defects but I can't guarentee I'll see them all. No returns unless item is not as described. This is an older piece and is no longer perfect as the day it was made. Insurance and delivery confirmation will be added to the cost of shipping.

Antique Germany Dresden Paper Mache Easter Candy Container Easter Bunny
This is a beautiful antique German paper mache Easter Egg candy container. Both sides have the same design of the Easter Bunny painting eggs, a rooster knocking over paint and a duckling. The colors are beautiful and bright. It has a lovely blue floral design on the inside of this egg with Dresden paper lace trim. It is in very good antique condition, it has a small piece of ancient tape at the bottom, with a few light rubs and scratches from years of use(please see ALL pictures. The American Weekly Messenger Oct. 30. 1813 Tecumseh dead! War of 1812 Napoleonic Wars This is a weekly Philadelphia paper which is 200 years old! It is printed in a small format. Measuring 6 by 9.75 inches in size, and is 16 pages long. The issue came from a bound volume and has typical minor disbinding marks at the spine. It shows and a bit of light age browning, but is otherwise in excellent and attractive condition. The paper contains a very brief but historic news report on the death of the famed Shawnee Indian chief. Tecumseh, who was killed in the Battle of the Thames on Oct. 5, 1813. The item is untitled, but was a first announcement to the paper’s readers of the death of this great foe. It says, in its entirety: General M’Arther. In a letter to the editor of the Chillicothe paper, mentions that general Tecumseh is said to have been ... morekilled in the battle between gen. Harrison and the Indian and British army under Proctor. The issue has about four pages of material related to America’s WAR OF 1812. This includes a lengthy report dated Oct. 8th by Commodore Isaac Chauncey on the U.S. Navy’s most recent actions near Sackett’s Harbour in which he wrote. We learnt from the prisoners that the enemy was very much cut up in their hulls and spars. And a great many men killed and wounded, particularly on board the Wolf and Royal” It follows with a list of British prisoners who captured in these actions. The largest portion of the paper. I have for you this evening a lovely flower encrusted compote created and decorated at the kilns and studios of Carl Thieme in Dresden Germany in the first quarter of the twentieth century. This piece is made of fine quality porcelain and has been cast into quatrefoil mold shape with footed pedestal base. This piece has been completely hand painted with classic Dresden flower motifs and gold gilt lattice work as well as applied flowers at four points under the rim of the bowl. This piece is gorgeous and is ideal for the collector of Dresden pieces. This will look incredible in your favorite cabinet or out for display for all to see. Item dimensions and dating: All measurements are approximate. The bowl measures 7.5" by 6.5" and the piece stands 4" tall. This piece dates from 1918 by the marks. By Dresden. A double candle holder with a delicate pink rose in bloom and a small bud resting on soft green leaves. Accents are gold. Measures 7.5" wide and stands 3 3/4" tall. In excellent condition. Research on the crossed swords maker’s mark provided some interesting information. Dresden is also called State’s Porcelain Manufactory VEB and is located in Meissen. Saxony, Germany(E. Germany) Reading a little further I saw that Meissen has exactly the same crossed swords, State’s name and location. Both are highly respected names in the manufacture of porcelain so perhaps it shouldn’t be such a surprise that they share so much identification. Will ship double-boxed for added protection.

Beautiful blue onion patterns, an ornate handle with blue trimmed leaf design on top, and comes with its lid which has a finial handle on top. It measures approximately 8 1/2" tall to the top of its finial on the lid, by 7 1/2" from handle to spout, or approximately 5 1/4" across the widest bulbous area. Antique Dresden Carl Thieme Double Gourd Vases
Probably Carl Thieme however. Early Dresden blue painted mark is illegible. The double-gourd form is hard paste and imitated from the Chinese. Lovely insects hand painted onto each vase. Gorgeous painted florets and leaves are applied throughout- as is common with these pieces numerous are chipped, but the objects still present beautifully. Dimensions: 7 1/2"h x 4"w.
