Either a serving tray or dresser tray, made in Dresden, Germany. The piece has a small opening at either side to aid in carrying the piece. It is beautifully hand painted with flowers in the center of the tray and with floral garlands along the edges. The piece is also detailed and trimmed in gold. The underside of the piece is stamped with the original crowned Dresden mark that was registered in 1883. There were four variations on the Dresden crown, all registered by the four Dresden decorating houses on the same ... moreday in 1883- this particular variation, I believe, was submitted by the decorating firm of Richard Klemm. The underside is also stamped Ryrie Bros. Ltd Toronto. Ryrie was founded in 1854 as a jeweler, but was bought by James Ryrie in 1879. It was bought by Birks of Montreal in 1904. This tray measures 11 1/4 by 7 3/4 and weighs 591 grams(1.3 lbs) It is in very good condition with no chips or cracks- the only wear is a slight bit of fade to the gold trim on the edge. Very minor. Antique Dresden Carl Thieme blanc de chine figural candle holder lamb 1900
This wonderful porcelain candelabra is 13 1/2 inches high and depicts a man with a basket of flowers and a lamb by his feet. The figurine has a white blanc de chine glaze. The piece is nicely done with applied flowers of various sorts. The only portion not white in color is the top where the cups have gilding. The figurine has a lot of scrolling in a Louis XV style. The bottom has a blue mark with a crown over an N. We believe the mark is for Carl Thieme of Potschappel but it could be for Ernst Sohne. In any event. They are German and we believe it dates to the early to mid 20 th century. The only damage is a chip to the flower the man holds in his hand and his fingers. The lamb has a chip to his ear.

Antique Large impressive Dresden centerpiece bowl Hand painted
This large porcelain centerpiece bowl is 18 ¾ inches high. 13 ¼ inches deep and 9 ¾ inches deep. It has two lovely ladies decorated with gilding serving as the center. The base is decorated with flowers and the top is a large basket with piercings and scrollwork. The piece is hand painted all except the blue flowers on the basket which was done by a transfer. The piece has the hallmark on the bottom of Richard Klemm who was active from 1886 to 1916. We believe this piece dates later than that period as we just do not see the age. It is likely German and is a quality piece of porcelain. There is no damage. Please study the pictures, more can be provided upon request. This is a spectacular piece. You are bidding on a lovely antique teapot from Carl Thieme of Potschappel. Dresden. It has a wrythen bottom half of the body and wrythen lid. It features a'face mask' on the underside of the spout as shown. It is hand painted and has a footed base. It stands at 5 1/2 inches tall to the top of the finial on the lid and is 7 inches long from fancy handle to fancy spout. There is some wear to the finial and some paint loss on the rim as shown. Fully marked on the base and I would say it dates from the late 1800s so well over 100 years old. A lovely piece that will make a great addition to any collection. This is an outstanding porcelain centerpiece. A Dresden Germany hand painted centerpiece with the forms of two musicians One playing a flute and one singing around a flower encrusted tree stump. The tree stump supports a pierced basket. The basket is covered with flowers and leaves. The centerpiece is supported on a domed and footed base. The centerpiece is decorated with gilt highlights. This is a very fine hand painted porcelain figure of a handsome gentleman created by Sevres. France. He is 7 1/4 inches high and displays beautifully with fine detailing and gold gilt trim. His sword is broken off at either end in the back and he has some small chips to his lace trim, otherwise very good/excellent condition with no major repairs. 1930's Polished Cotton"Friendship Ring" Dresden Plate Antique Applique Quilt. Great-Grandma made a friendship quilt of scraps& calico. Her neighbors gave small bits of cloth from each new gown. And so Great-Grandma fashioned deftly a quilt of cheerful hues. And sewed with tiny stitches the pinks. And grays, and blues. Elizabeth Crawford Yates Beautiful applique quilt made in the Depression years. In the Friendship Ring pattern, also known as the Dresden Plate or Aster patterns. It measures 87" x 70" is in very good condition. This quilt has never been laundered; you can still see the light pencil quilting trace marks. All of the fabric used to make the"friendship rings" is made from polished cotton. the prints/fabrics have a much tighter weave than regular cotton& feed sack, this weave gives the fabric ... morea very pretty& slight sheen. You'll find floral prints along with solids& calicoes in pinks& greens, blues, purples& beiges. all colors still dark& vibrant, unfaded. All of the piecing was done by hand& all of the applique was pieced to a beige backing with black floss in a blanket stitch, allowing the rings to stand out on the quilt. This quilter even took the time to separate the floss so it wouldn't look bulky. The"cone" border gives the quilt a scalloped edge; and is made with all of the same fabrics matching the rings. There are no rips. Tears or holes in the quilt but there are alot of tiny, pinpoint-sized rust stains( It's through most of the backing. These were there when the quilt was made which was common in the 1920's& 30's. Women used the fabric they had on hand for making quilts. These little dots are in the backing only, not on any of the fabric making up the rings. You'll also see an ink stamp#60. I believe that this fabric may have come from sugar or flower sacks back then. It's beautifully quilted with feathery flowers in the center of the rings; and each"petal" of the rings was qui
