High: 37.40 inches/ 95 cm Width: 15.35 inches/ 39 cm Deep: 8.66 inches/ 22 cm Condition: The case is in good condition in line with the age, only some trace of use and age. It also has some inactiv old woodworm holes. On a clock which is older than 90 years. These flaws are truly minor and neither lowers the value nor interferes with its charisma. Dial/ Movement: The dial has some trace of use& age. Both the clockwork as well as the chiming mechanism are fully functional. The clockwork possesses 5 hammers with which it strikes every 15 minutes on 5 chime roods. To the full hour the clock plays a rare& unknown melodie. Incl. key All clocks we sell are in running condition at our home. But we have not test. Whether the clock runs exactly to the minute. However. Genuine Antique German Black Forest Cuckoo Wall Clock - Coo Coo Clock
eBay Listing Antique Black Forest Cuckoo Clock Original- Made in the Black Forest of Germany This is a great example of an Antique German. Black Forest Cuckoo Clock in excellent condition. This clock runs very well and has a wooden bird. Which pops out of his door every half-hour; he cuckoos once on the half-hour and counts the hours on the hour. Prior to his familiar“cuckoo” song, the clock chimes on a gong. When the cuckoo sings, the bird bobs up and down, then goes back in and slams the door! Also you can see the carved maple leaf pendulum swing with each passing second. The weights are heavy and shaped like pinecones– making this cuckoo clock run a full day before you need to pull them back up! The case. Dial, movement are in great condition and the clock keeps excellent time. The handmade case is made of solid wood in great condition ... morewith the original finish. There are lots of large carvings. Complete with leaves, twigs and birds on the front. These carvings make up the“Bird” style cuckoo clock. The dial is in excellent condition with original numbers. The gong is original. As is the entire clock, except the top which has been replaced with a period correct undamaged one. It includes a pendulum and the two weights to the clock. You can adjust the time to slow and fast from the pendulum. The movement is in good condition and has just been cleaned. Oiled and checked for proper operation. I don’t know the exact age of this clock. But it was made before WWII, probably the early 1900's. The clock is large. It measures about 15 1/2 inches high not counting the weights or pendulum, 12 inches wide and 7 deep. The center glass is wavy proving some age. The upper finial on the right pillar has come off. The bottom has a"finial" of sorts that juts down. The upper facade has the head of soldier back from the war. It is removable and will ship along side. The key is inside and it is in shabby chic condition with a splayed end. The movement works and it chimes the half hour and strikes the number of the hour. As always. This will need to be serviced to ensure it proper function as it will get jostled a bit in transit. The overall clock measures approx. 21 1/2" x 12 3/4" x 6 1/2" We are calling it shabby chic due to the missing column top, some collected bumps, and wear to the face and case. You are bidding on a very fine Antique German Wall Clock. This piece is a Gustav Becker Berliner Freburg wall clock. The serial number of 1442056 reflects a manufacture date between 1895 and 1900. This is a larger wall clock. The clock measures 33 inches high. 18 inches wide and 8 1/2 inches deep. The face of this clock is clean with no damage. The works are removeable on this clock and are held in by screws. There are balancing screws on the outside at the bottom. Some of the gold plating has worn on the pendulum. I don't now if this clock runs. I cannot get it balanced enough to see it run. It does wind. This clock could use a good cleaning but it one of the most beautiful pieces I have ever sold. This is a mantel or shelf clock made by F. C. Andrews. It is well used. The back of the face has been dated by someone who apparently fixes clocks. Which puts the age of the clock well before 1879. It says"Put in order by A J Hopewell.July 17th 1879.again by AJH May 31. 1911.again by AJH Dec. 8, 1920. The face has damage where it is being held in place. The decorative end of the minute hand is broken off, but included. The label is damaged. The mechanism needs work. The sides and bottom are in pretty good shape. The back, however, has a crack on the left by a nail and the bottom left corner is cracked(see pictures) There are many small parts included, some probably do not go with the clock. I am including them, because I want to make sure I offer everything that came with the clock. rare antique 1800s handmade exposed wood gear bronze wall clock anno 1640 weight
This is a remarkable find of an old. Rare Anno 1640 weight driven wall clock that is a close replica of what one of the first, weight-driven clocks was really like! This clock was produced in Switzerland(though it is not marked as such) in the late 1800's and is one of the oldest replicas I've ever seen in this model. The clock is made of wood with a bronze circular ring and finished in a blend of oak tones; very nice! The wooden dial is also carved from thick wood and points to the hour of the day. The top is a wooden pendulum that swings back and forth as time ticks away and the wooden gears for the clock are visible from either side so you can easily view them turning; fascinating! There is a wooden plaque near the top in front that says"Anno" and another below the dial that says"1640. it's mentioned that way ... moreas well on the dial. There is a hanging weight on this clock and a custom made, wooden pulley; people also used stones to counterweight the piece if more weight is needed. The clock does work well here and I seen it working when I purchased it. I do believe all the parts are present as well but could probably use a stone weight or something a bit heavier. The clock is very impressive. Has a wonderful patina from age, and a true head-turner in our home. It's the ideal size too measuring about 14 1/2 inches high(not counting the weight and pulley on string) about 5 inches wide. When I take the pendulum off, the clock will run until it needs to be wound again.so the movement works. The pendulum body, because of the age, controls the speed of the clock. The flat steel which goes through the body of the pendulum has serrated edges on both sides to hold onto the pendulum body. These have worn into the pendulum body as to not hold onto it anymore. This makes for the pendulum body to fall off the flat piece of serrated steel. Here is a great Seth Thomas Wall Clock for your buying consideration. Recently acquired it at an estate sale. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself. This is a Seth Thomas Oak Wall Regulator Clock that is spring. Not weight driven. The clock is probably from the 1890s to 1910s. If any of you think I am incorrect about these representations, please let me know. Your identity would be kept anonymous. Thanks. Beautiful dark stained oak case on this clock. The pieces are all in place. No cracks. Splits or repairs to the case to speak of. All the wood case looks to be of the same age, no newer woods. There is some crazing to the finish in places. The old pendulum bob comes with the clock as well as a key. ... moreThe clock has an octagonal wood trim section around the clock face. The bezel is securely attached to the clock and the lock latch is in place. The flat glass in the bezel is in place with no cracking or blistering. Top glass in not original. Interesting jagged cut job along edges of glass in fitting it to the bezel. But securely in there. The glass over the pendulum area(some loss of the inside painted image there) is intact as well. Clasp on lower door is in place and working and the hinges are still tightly secured to the case and working. The brass colored trim ring is around the clock face. The face is made of metal on this clock and still looks very good. It is an older face. Not a new reproduction face, but no way to be certain if original to clock. The clock hands match and look appropriate to the clock. Some of the original black and gold lettered label is still inside the pendulum door, but most of it is gone. When I set the clock up. It would run for a little bit and then stops. Just took the face off and cleaned up the pivot points and bushings and put some clock oil on them overnite. Running with not issues now. Antique 1920 GILBERT 1807 wood wall clock Curved Glass with Brass frame. For Parts or Repair! Not sure what kind of wood it is? The clock is pretty much complete but needs new cord installed into the motor. Someone has taken newer cord to the old cord. Old cord has bare wires touching the motor, afraid to run motor. Motor worked and kept time last time we tested several years ago. Tested recently and hands turn but did not test for correct time. Glass has a scratch. Face plate is in good condition with normal wear for age. Has original brass hands. May be missing some screws and back cover ect. Selling for part or repair only with no warranty's. Measures approx. 16 1.2" tall x 9 1/4" wide x 2 3/4" thick. Clock itself measures approx. 6" round.
