Rare Antique German Vienna Regulator Wall Clock Engraved Weights & Pendulum
Beautiful Large Antique German Vienna Regulator Wall Clock made of a Handsome Wood with very nice intricate details in Excellent Condition! Look at the columns on this clock. This clock has form that you don't normally see. The bottom crest is of a scalloped shell, there are engraved metal highlights throughout, the top crest has a Very Nice Lion's Head attached. The brass pendulum and brass weights are heavily engraved, there are glass window ports on both sides, you can clearly see the movement from both sides. This clock winds and the movement runs but I cannot get it to remain running, it may just need to be leveled. The clock chimes as it should by advancing the hands manually. The clock measures 48" tall by 16" wide at the top, the middle section is 13" wide. The brass pendulum is 6" in diameter and the face ... moredial is 7 1/4" in diameter. I couldn't find any markings on the clock or the movement as far as the maker. This is a beautiful clock that display so well. Old antique wood wall calendar clock. It is an old American clock but has a new face on it. It is very Beautiful. Winds and works but I do not know if it keeps perfect time. The dial and the bottom glass are replacements, and the hands have either been painted or replaced. The surface of the helmet shaped clock is cast in low relief with panels of scrolls, medallions, weapons, armor, ribbon, swags, fruit and instruments around a central circular medallion with sun shining down on figures on horseback and a recumbent man below a rearing horse. The center of the medallion(clock face) is fitted with pierced hour and minute hands and the edge is applied with twelve enameled white plaques with black Roman numerals. The clock's dimensions are approximately; H- 20" W- 15.5" D- 5.5" The Case: The black case is in good physical condition. There are a few areas here and there that have some chips. Cracks, etc. I believe these areas are small and do not really distract from the beauty of this clock. The mother of pearl is all there and looks great. The Dial/Face: The porcelain dial/face is in excellent physical condition. I can not see and/or feel chips. Breaks, etc. There are some small scratches but again, nothing that I would consider distracting. The hands are original and in fine overall condition. The brass works appears to be a thirty day movement striking on the hour. The case features a 7 ¼” cartouche wood dial with black Roman Numerals on white enameled plates and brass hands. The hinged door of the case includes exceptional carvings of grapes and vines. The crown of the clock supports a full gallery and finials. Dimensions are 34” tall. 17 ½” wide and 6” deep. The key, pendulum and finish appear to be original. Stamped on the back plate is: Jappy Freres& Cie/ Goe Med D’Honneur with medal and crown. This mark indicates the clock was made in Beaucourt. Description This is a large antique Self Winding Company oak wall clock from the 1920s. It measures 61 inches in height. The width is 22 inches and depth is 8.5 inches. The glass on the face door is missing and that measures 14.5 inches in diameter. The bottom door glass is in original condition. The finish on the clock is all original. The works and the case are marked with the serial# 76937 so the works are original to the case. The pendulum rod is missing but it has the brass bob that goes on the bottom, pictured. On the bottom 2 sides there is a piece of trim missing which could easily be replaced. It is a very clean original condition good looking clock. Winning bidder can either pick this up here on Cape cod(zip code 02653) or we can recommend a couple of furniture shippers that the buyer would pay directly. Antique/Vintage prob bef 1922 Long HAC Wooden Wall Clock Running & Striking
Antique/Vintage Long Wooden Cased HAC Wall Clock Running Striking on 4 chime bars. Now this clock is an absolutely special wall clock with the case having many interesting special features and the movement chiming system unique. In lovely rich dark reddish wood the case is of strong and imposing design with a large 18cm circular glass framing the dial and the lower glasses being beveled sections framed by brass leadlighting in the form of an oval(21cm long) highlighting the large pendulum inside. Decorated with a wooden carved scroll embellishment on the top and having small circular side windows allowing one to view the chime rods as they resonate into the room. The movement can be slid out away from the case by releasing two finger knobs and the chiming can be switched off by a special lever which slides a brake in place. The chimes too ... morehave a clever double fork brake which can be swung into position when the clock is in transit. The case is in great condition for its age which is probably antique and has the HAC brass plaque inside. This one seems to look as full of character as it always was with the fine wood grain warming your parlor. Of course it should have knocks and bumps commensurate with its age which add character but I couldn't find many and it still looks really great. Apart from some discoloration on the dial this clock is in great condition. The movement is a HAC so of very dependable German origin. The other amazingly unique part about this HAC is the fact that the chiming system produces the Westminster Big Ben Chime with only a 2 train movement. Usually 3 are necessary and you have to wind up three arbors. But this chimes the hour on the hour with a musical chord and plays the Big Ben song on the other 3 quarter hours. This clock is not only classy it is running quite well. It has a lovely artistic brass circular metal pendulum and is supplied with key shown. Very suitable for a large home. This wooden plaque contains two heavy brass housings, one containing a barometer and an empty housing for a ship's clock with hardware for securing clock to housing. This clock called“radar shelter wall clock” Is exactly the same as the one aircraft built named 118-12-24. The only difference is that this one has two glass-attached hands to be able to fix the take off time. This particular beauty is in perfect running condition. Antique Fantastic Seth Thomas 30 Day Large 86-I Wall Clock Movement & Bracket
This is a fantastic large working Seth Thomas 30 Day movement for a Gallery or Schoolhouse wall clock. This movement had 86-T but was crossed out by the factory and changed to 86-I. I personally did not test it but it came from an old clock repairman's warehouse and was told it is a working movement. How he remembers is beyond me the warehouse is huge but he has been collect every time so far! The movement is very clean just a light bit of dust it looks great and runs when you stand it up in fact it does not want to stop running. It measures 7 3/4" it's 5 1/4" across the bottom of the plate the key winds are 3 11/16" across to center shaft is 2 5/16" and with bracket it weighs 4.2.5 pounds. This is a fantastic large working Fusee Wall Clock Movement with original Pendulum and Key. This wonderful movement is for a large schoolhouse wall clock and has just been serviced it also has a new cable. I know the pendulum and hands are original to the movement but I'm not 100% sure about the key The heavy gauge brass plates measure just over 8" and they are about 5" across the bottoms. The pendulum measures 13" and the pendulum weighs 1.5.2 pounds. The movement weighs 4.10.5 pounds. It is in great condition but the hands do have surface rust, the minute hand is 5 1/2" to center shaft the hour had is 3 1/2" to center shaft. Thank you for your interest! Also bouncing around within a package during shipping may cause changes. It should be expected that it may need some type of cleaning, service and or repairs to be a fully operational clock. In my opinion it looks better in the photos than it does in person. Maybe a little on the ugly side. It has numerous areas of chipping and flaking of the gilding. While handling it, flakes of the gilding will come off in your hands. It is dusty throughout. I also notice several spots of corrosion on many of the metal parts. Antique English Tavern Wall Clock, Circa (Walker & Finnemore Dial) 1808-11
Up for auction is a Wonderful Antique English Tavern Clock. Circa 1808-11. The clock's dimensions are approximately; H- 48" W- 19" D- 7" The Case: The mahogany case is in excellent physical condition for a clock this old. I believe it was refinished at one time. There are a couple areas where the mahogany venner has been repaired. These areas are on the side of the case and I believe do don distract from the beauty of the clock. There is small chip/piece of the case missing on the side of the clock. Also. I believe the round door has been repaired at one time. Please see photo near the hinge. Lastly, there is a crack on the bottom of the case that has been repaired. I do believe the bottom finial is a replacement, not sure though. The Dial/Face: The steel dial is in excellent physical condition. The dial is 15" in ... morediameter. There is little paint loss and has not been repainted. The Mechanism: The mechanism does not have any markings on it and looks very clean. The Pendulum looks to be from the same time period. Vintage Howard Miller Zaandam Wall Clock for Parts or Repair First off. This clock is missing the weights(which are brass and are shaped like teardrops) and the pendulum. With that being said, I’m saying that it doesn’t work and is only for parts or repair. This clock is made of solid. Highly shaped wood and has intricate, cast-brass metal accents. The clock also had amber glass windows on the side. The clock has a Franz Hermle movement. I couldn’t get the markings to show in photo. But they read“FRANZ HERMLE, 78, NO JEWELS, MADE IN GERMANY, UNADJUSTED, Z61-080A” and“31 CM. 125.780” The clock is in pretty good cosmetic condition. It has a little wear around the edges. Some paint loss, a few flecks of veneer missing, the globe on top has some paint loss and the metal has age appropriate patina. Clock has original tag on rear stating#45303 Simon Wittner, Pony Express Systems 2986 Navajo Street, Yorktown NY 10598. Simon and Shirley Wittner found a cache of these clocks in 1979 all in unsold new condition but made between 1890 and 1910, They sold these clocks by the Pony Express System Company. Antique Seth Thomas Regulator # 2 Wall Clock Single Weight Trapezoid 77B Mov.
This is a Fabulous Seth Thomas Regulator# 2 with a 77B movement I believe it is called a Trapezoid Movement. It has a Single Weight and is Time Only with a Seconds Hand. This wonderful Seth Thomas has a solid Oak front on the case the two side panels I believe are oak veneer. The case looks like quarter sawn oak the wood grain is stunning. The dial on this clock retains its original paint in really nice condition just a few super tiny areas of finish loss. It has it's original glass. Pendulum and weight. also has a key but it's not original. It does run but it is very temperamental and needs to be really level I'm guess the verge needs adjusting the pendulum was on it when I found it I think it was moved with it on! It is running but is leaning slightly. The issues I see with this is it has some extra holes in the case on the ... moreback board at the bottom and a few extra nails also. The nails have been touched up a bit so in one pictures you can see them a bit less I'm not a woodworking guy by far! There is some kind of repair on the wooden pendulum shaft by the threaded end. The solid oak bezel drops very slightly but still seems to be very solid I added arrows in the pictures to show these issues. Welcome shopper up for auction is an antique clock I found at an estate sale and I am giving the information I have; I have checked out the clock it works. It is a 1 day movement, which has the key, I was told the Westminister chimes work but it takes another key which(I do not have) so I could not test the chimes. I was told it is an English wall chiming clock with German movement. The clock itself has a nice quiet sound. The measurements; it is 26 1/2" tall 6 1/2" deep and 15 1/2" wide and weighs almost 24 pounds. It has a lovely dark oak finish. The glass is beveled. It runs and keeps excellent time. The strike is on the half hour and the hours on a nice resonant cathedral gong. The dial and dial surround are held on to the case by three wooden pegs. ANTIQUE VINTAGE TRADE S MARK OCTAGONAL REGULATOR SCHOOL HOUSE WALL CLOCK
I believe this handsome pendulum clock was made in the 1930's. It is certified with the Aichiken Clockmakers' Unions Mark in Japan. The clock was acquired by my father. A clock enthusiast when he lived in Japan during the 1960's and'70's. He took care of the clocks in his collection and this clock is no exception. The clock is in excellent working order and includes the two original keys(box-shaped cut outs in the round ends) The case has a lovely patina and shows no signs of marring or scratching. The mechanism includes a weight which I have shown in one of the photos. There is a brass rim to the face and a"parcel" gilt door that works smoothly and closes efficiently.
