VIntage 3 window R=A German Antique Chiming Wall Clock
Old Hanging wall Clock. German Made. R=A Regulator Pendulem Type Clock. Clock assembly slides in. Unit appears to be missing some wood ornaments on top. The bottom part hanging down shows some separation from drying out. There are two screws near the bottom that helps adjust the clock for balance from the wall, one is complete, the other side is missing the screw. The unit chimes, clock movement goes back and forth but could not get the pendulum stable to see if it can work and keep time. The clock has excellent workmanship and includes the key. The clock has two side windows and the large one on front. There are marks in the wood on the sides and minor nicks all around. 28' tall. 15' deep and 14 3/4' wide The top piece above the window has tiny cracks and slight warping. Nice looking vintage clock.

This late 1800s wall clock measures 29” tall x 12” wide x 7 1/8” wide with interior dimensions of 18 7/8” x 6 ½” x 3 3/8” deep with 5 3/8” dial. It has clean works with good springs and is missing the suspension spring so it will need some help. When wound. The works will run for a while lying on their back. The case has been refinished and the wood appears to be a blend of walnut and hardwoods with the inside back being quadrant matched walnut. I think the cornice is replaced. I finally found a reference to it on AntiqueWaterburyClocks.com. Called“The Music Men” this antique. Circa ... more1920, figural carved oak wall clock was a limited edition clock and there were very few produced. I could not find another example that has sold. Depicting three musicians, one playing a horn, one playing a guitar and the other singing, this carved oak clock has an Arts& Crafts/Mission Style with applied brass numerals and hands on the oak clock-face. After comparing our clock to the other example we found in collections we know that the weights& pendulum are later replacements, and so are the fancy brass hands. This clock would have originally had plain brass hands and a set of Waterbury's twisted weights. There are no other problems or restorations to this clock and it is in working condition. This is an 8-day weight driven clock and as you can see in our photographs. The works are complete and original. It measures 28” wode by 26” tall by 5 ½” deep The surface is original and untouched and there are only a few small areas of wear to the edges or high points. Antique French Carved Wall Clock. Circa 1870, working perfectly Impressive wall clock completely made of solid oak wood. With carvings and moldings performed by hand. It is a French clock with 8-day Paris movement that chimes the hours and the halves. Though being quite old, this clock is in excellent condition: the movement is original and has been fine-tuned so it currently works like new. The box boasts a wonderful walnut color, with the oak’s deep veneer and the decorative carvings standing out in the design. The clock’s box is shaped like a shield. With a central circular face directly carved in the wood. The black Roman numbers are painted on white-enameled brass plates embedded in the wood. It is in very good condition and works perfectly. Having been cleansed and fine-tuned to guarantee it. The clock has a wonderful wooden box with solid turned and carved parts, and planks covered by mahogany veneers. It chimes the hours and the halves and boasts a balanced and elegant design, with a great French polish finish that provides it with a deep shiny glow. The front door has a glass pane that let us see the clock’s face and pendulum, both made of golden brass with white-enameled parts. The movement bears an engraved logo depicting an eagle sitting on a wheel. Inside the wheel there are three initials: FMS. Standing for Friedrich Mauthe Schwenningen. Rare Antique Clock Wall Mantel Shelf (Unique Paper Disk Punch Time Clock)
Brass plate on the front lower right hand corner is Newman Clock Co. New York Chicago London. This clock was purchased in Boston area antique shop many years ago. It has a unique feature in that a paper disk could be place on the inside and when the worker punched in- they simply turned the nob on the side and the arm with a needle would pierce the paper at that time. Same thing when they left work. Screws on the back can be used to mount this item securely on the wall. The face has dark and light areas as seen in the picture. Roman numerals. Oak case I believe. It is a heavy item. Face opens and shuts on hinges to adjust the time. Measures 14 inches by 14 inches. This clock came from a waterfront home estate sale in northern Florida this past weekend. The clock is marked on the front of the movement or face: A Jugemann. Munchen. The clock is not working; it appears to be complete except for the weight. The chain and pendulum are here. Beautiful wall clock from R A Germany. Measures 26" tall and 14" wide. Wood case. Glass windows, brass and porcelain face and pendulum. This is an 8 day clock which gongs or chimes once on the half hour, and fully for each hour. Includes a new key. All else is the original. Door swings open, and there is a bit of wear from door, also two tiny areas of missing veneer on one corner of bottom right- see next to last photos. These are the only flaws. Has beautiful patina, and very clean. I just paid $130 to a clock restorer to thoroughly clean and set this clock. Took it home and got it all going, and it kept perfect time(altho this is adjustable, like everything on this clock, if you know how) and chimed correctly- kind of a mid range pleasant chime, not high, not low. I will be completely honest and tell you I had a hard time trying ... moreto re-start it when I let it run down. you have to know a little something about these antique clocks to get them all set correctly, balanced, etc. As it was a bit big for the space I had in mind anyway. American Antique Regulator A School House Wall Clock w/ Gong/Chimes Not Running
22" h x 12 w x 4.5 d. This clock was purchased by my father in 1979. It comes with papers that authenticate it as being made c. 1900. The certificate is included in the sale. And the number on(clock#60853) matches a card that was once glued to the back of the clock with that number too(although the ink is very faint and only a few of the digits are really visible) Note that the clock does not currently run and is being sold AS IS. Also note that the glass on the lower door is broken. The glass is glued in place so it looks more like a crack, but it's actually broken. Beautiful case- I replaced one section of the inner case on the lower right side but otherwise it's all original. The movement looks like it is in great shape but needs to be cleaned. Antique 1913 Wm L. Gilbert Large University Regulator 8 Day Wall Clock, Running
This is a Rather Large Wm L. Gilbert Large Mahogany Regulator Wall Clock 8 Day. This wonderful clock has both the original glass pieces and pendulum and I'm not 100% sure but the hands could also be the original hands. The clock runs it does need to be leveled to do so but once it is it runs great and chimes on the one and one half hour. It is and old 1913 clock so it has distinctive characteristics in accordance to age and use. And oddly it has an Adams sticker on the back I'm not quite sure how this came about because it is a Wm L. Gilbert case called the University. This clock came from an old estate where the gentleman has an extensive collection I'm assuming the sticker may have been put on by someone transporting the clock? They may have found it next to it and thought it was the correct sticker I really do not know. I do ... moreknow it is a Wm L. Gilbert movement and University case! The two glass pieces are fabulous they has great factory bubbles and fish eyes and are old wavy glass. The dial is a 12" dial it has yellowing and a few small stain but still is very nice. The case is still very solid but the hinges have been moved I believe they may be original but they moved them I'm guessing the screw holes got enlarged. The clock is about 39" tall 19 1/4" at widest point 5 3/4" deep and it weighs 14.13.5 pounds. Thank you for your interest! LARGE GERMAN ANTIQUE WALL CLOCK WESTMINSTER CHIMES ORIGINAL LOOKS/RUNS GREAT!
This is a VERY BEAUTIFUL RARE example of a German VERY LARGE AND VERY HEAVY HIGH QUALITY Wall Clock with WESTMINSTER CHIMES in OUTSTANDING condition. German Wall clocks are of the highest quality. It was made in Germany circa 1890. The German clocks in our collection have not yet required any servicing and have kept perfect time for many. Many years. This particular model is in NEAR ALL ORIGINAL condition. It has very large and very heavy 8-day time and strike HIGH END WESTMINSTER movement, which chimes on every quarter hour and also strikes the hours on the hour on 8 chime rods with a very beautiful mellow sound. The clock strikes on the quarter-hour and counts the hours on the hour on large chime rods with a very nice sound. It plays 4 notes at the first ¼, 8 notes on the half hour, 12 notes on the ¾ hour and 16 notes plus strikes ... morethe hour on the hour! There is a large on off switch for the chimes. The movement is attached to its original seat board which slides out for easy adjustment and viewing. No need to take off the dial or hands. Original fancy hands! This clock is very large and very heavy and measures 31 inches high. 14 inches wide and 7 inches deep. The clock has a nice quiet way it ticks also. The case is beautiful with a very fancy design with original accents. The dial is in very good condition. The movement is not signed with the makers name. We find it strange that most German and French clocks are not signed; as they are made so well! Original hands. Has its original seat board screws. The back of the clock is great. The bottom left has a repair. If you are looking for a large impressive clock that was very well made, superior running and sounding condition and“taken well care of” its entire life– THIS IS IT! The movement slides out for easy oiling and servicing, no need to even take the dial or hands off.
