The rim has a mesh pattern border, all in under glaze cobalt blue against a very blueish white glaze ground. This lovely dish is unmarked and it has a lot of white particles in the glaze. There is a faint 2.5cm, 1" hairline crack in the rim and some small glaze frits to the underside of the rim and a shallow chip to the inner edge of the foot rim. Imperial Porcelain, Austria Dessert Plates In A Scalloped Rim, Pink Flowers, Pale Greenery And A Ribbed Embossed Verge"Tyrol" Pattern; These Extremely Old See Through Porcelain Dessert Plates Are More Likely To Be Used As Salad Plates Today With Only A Dessert On Them Once In A While! I find it hard to believe that these Lovely Dessert Plates have survived well over 100 years in the great shape they are in. PH Leonard was a New York importer who imported high quality Bohemian. German& French pieces for the high end market. As far as I could tell, Imperial Porcelain was one of Count Thun's factories. Six of the Beautiful Plates are in mint condition. Free of chips, cracks, crazing or scratches. The other 3 Plates have one to two small chips out of the edge, ... moremostly underneath. Antique Haviland Limoges Plates H&Co L France Shells Seashell Motif
For auction are three beautiful H&Co L France. 8 1/2" plates. Each plate differs in pattern, with a variation in the shell. Each plate has the same pink tint that fades to a cream, almost yellowish tint. The gold trim seems to be intact. Pair 2 Antique Wood & Sons Imari Luncheon Plates Verona Border Pattern Gold Gilt
Here is a pair of beautiful Imari-style luncheon plates. Made circa 1907-1910 by Wood& Sons of England. These plates feature a gentle scalloped rim with light crimping on the edges, that give the look of an outer necklace of oblong gold beading. The shelf border has a vibrantly colored decoration of hand enameled four red-orange flowers interspersed with baby blue smaller florals, green leaves on geometric rust-brown fields. Pale blue enamel scrolls and brilliant gold gilt provide finish accents. These are outstanding plates for a wonderfully dressed table! We begin with a total of 8 plates. Measurements in inches: 7 7/8 Condition: Very light use marks. The plate with 2 blue triangles identifies crazing lines. One triangle on the back shows an area that looks like a hairline. A nail run across this does not catch as it will for a true ... morehairline. But does catch tiny bubbles in glaze. Same plate has an incomplete glaze area at rim approx 3/8" x 3/8" One plate has a tiny"bite" on back of rim(seen in last photo) Not seen from front. Several show what appears to be a partial 1.25" seam on the center back, all in the same place, which to me rules out hairlines(too coincidental) and points to manufacture process. VINTAGE/ANTIQUE COPELAND SPODE DINNER PLATES GREEN, WHITE CENTER WITH ROSE
For sale is a beautiful old COPELAND SPODE 9" DINNER PLATE. I have tried to research the pattern and vintage but give up! I can find nothing like it so I am assuming it is quite rare. The plate is a beautiful green with a pretty pink rose in the center on a white background. The pattern is very similar to the Claudia and the Billingsley Rose patterns. The plate is free of chips. Cracks or repairs but is quite heavily crazed- which makes me believe it is old. 1920-1957? I am neither a collector or a dealer and don't have the expertise to say for sure. There is a brown Copeland Spode backstamp on the back and another mark which reads REC- APPLIED FOR and under that is an embossed Copeland Spode mark. There is another embossed mark but I can't make it out. It looks like a letter over 2 numbers but again, I'm not sure and was ... morenot able to capture it in a picture. Please email any questions. Rare Antique Mason's Patent Ironstone Bandana Ware Plates and Cup
4 rare and gorgeous plates and 1 cup marked"Mason's Patent Ironstone China England" Some have a stamped"A" and all have at least 1 impressed letter.they're hard to read. These plates and cup come from a line called"Bandana Ware" Each plate is gorgeous and has an Asian theme to them. Foo dogs. Clouds and symbols outlined in black cover the plates and they have an orange luster/pearl finish. Parts are painted a raised green, red and black. The cup has the same design, but cream outside, inside and orange flowers along the bottom. Each plate measures 8 1/8" There are no chips. Cracks or repairs. A couple spots of the raised paint has flaked on 3 of them. The cup measures 2" tall and 4" wide. It has a repaired handle where it was broken in 4 places and has crazing all over. Antique 19th C Pountney Bristol Mandarin Pattern Willow 6 x Dinner Plates Search This auction is for an antique 19th century Pountney Bristol Mandarin blue and white willow pattern 6 x dinner plates as pictured which measure 10 1/4" in diameter. 3 look to be in very good condition for their age. 1 has a small hairline crack to the rim and a larger hairline crack around the foot and 1 has 2 old chips to the underside. There is some wear to the gilt with 1 showing more wear than the others and some slight roughness to the finish as is expected with these pieces.
