A wonderful wood grained oval frame with gesso over wood and black outer edge. Glass and frame are both in wonderful condition with no breaks or damages found. I will cut cardboard for backing prior to shipping to keep glass safe. In inside dimensions of opening from back side are 13 3/4" by 19 3/4" with overall outer edge to edge dimensions at 15 3/4" by 21 3/4" making the frame itself about 1" wide and about 7/8" deep. I believe the convex glass is original having that nice old hue to it and frame has original old brass chain for hanging as well. This is a beautiful antique picture in glass which I have owned and loved for many many years. My house is very small and so I decided to sell some items. I do not know the name for this kind of art in glass but the picture is lovely. It is all in browns and depicts a tree lined country road leading to a lovely old home. it is in good condition for its age. It has a little of what may be water damage to the corner(see pictures) but I did not notice this until I took it off the wall. it is ready to hang. It measures 26" long x 13 3/4" wide. We are pleased to offer this wonderful. Antique(c1940s) large picture frame. This frame is solid wood, convex in shape, with an incrediblely detailed and incised old world Acanthus leaf and fleur de lis pattern. The pattern is repeated throughout the entire frame with the Acanthus leaves joining together to form the fleur de lis effect. The frame is a medium to dark tone with some red low lights under the gold gilt highlights. This lends me to believe the frame is Italian made as they routinely used red under gold gilt in many of their creations. However, it also has strong French characteristics as well. The frame is finished in red on the back. The frame housed an old painting that was in terrible condition when we found it. The frame. However, is in WONDERFUL condition. There are a few minor areas of small chips, but these are not large ... moreor noticeable and can easily be retouched. There are traces of the old paper backing which was under the old painting. The convex form could easily house a shadow box. The frame is quite large and wide. THIS IS AN INCREDIBLE. OLD, FRAME! We are pleased to offer this antique, carved wood, LARGE picture or mirror wall frame. This gorgeous and intricate frame is either walnut, rosewood or, possibly, mahogany. It has a rich brown color with a hint of red. It is not heavily grained. The frame is quite intricately detailed. A gilted eagle is perched on top. His wings are erect and partially span. He is facing to the right and upward. His talons are wrapped around a small branch. The frame has a small urn on each upper side with a blooming plant. Acanthus leaves and roses trail and curve along each side. The bottom is ornate with acanthus and scrolling details as well a small center urn. The frame is really beautifully done. It appears to have been done in four sections. The backing is a beautiful piece of cherry wood. This is an amazing frame ... morewith unbelievable craftsmanship. It is quite old and dates to the late 1800s. The frame is in very good condition for its age. If you look closely, you can see the lines where the frame was put together. This, in no way, distracts from the frame and a little wood filler would take care of this if you so choose. The frame is very structurally sturdy with no looseness in the carved areas. The back has 4 large brass holders which keep the backing securely in place. There were five and one is missing. However, the backing is quite secure. There is a wire attached for hanging. The frame has no major scratches and has no chips. It is really, REALLY in good condition. STUNNING! The frame is very large and measures 36.25" tall and it is 17.75" wide at the widest measurement. The frame is what they call Tramp Art. Over a 100 years old, hand made folk art. It's a really neat frame and definitely is old. All wood with inner Gold trim. It's in really good shape. The front has very little wear/tear, it looks like there was an additional leaf on the other top left corner, but not positive, It's solid and complete. The inside trim is gold and shows some wear. The back has no wire, Will need to be replaced. I am offering this lovely little hand carved antique Chinese picture frame with a photograph of a young boy. My husband purchased this frame yesterday through an estate liquidation. The oval frame measures 2 3/4" tall X 2 1/8" wide. It has an easel back with 3 locking tabs. The frame is in good antique condition. However. The frame has replaced feet and there is a carved hole in the top that probably held a ball finial. This exquisite frame features intricate pierced carving with birds and flowers. Antique German Picture Frame Wag on Wall Clock Beautiful Complete & Original
What you are looking at here is a beautiful example of a German Picture Frame wag on wall clock. This clock is from the early to Mid 1800's. And comes straight from Germany by a collector who lived there in the 50's. This clock features a beautiful pressed brass dial surround, that still has it's original paint. The surround is in a wood picture frame, and still even has the original glass, as you can tell by the way it is still mounted in the door. It has a wood and brass movement, with time and strike. The movement will run without a pendulum, and chimes no problem. But it needs to be adjusted to run with the pendulum on. Original weights and pendulum are included as well. I was told by the collector that the movement is original to the dial, but these movements were designed to work with any wag on wall dial so I don't ... morethink it would matter anyway.
