Gorgeous antique vintage very large picture frame. Wood and gesso composition on this very large picture frame. Very ornate gold design on both the large outer border and smaller inner border. Don't mind that there is a portrait of a cute little dog! Just found today at an estate sale. The estate's brother told me that this was an old family pet that had since passed on. The frame itself measures a whopping 26 1/2" x 30 1/2" The interior measurements are 16" x 20" Very nice condition ~ I had to look closely at the frame to see if I could find anything wrong with it. And with the exception of a few tiny spots of the gold missing in the gesso, it is very nice shape. The glass was replaced when they put the portrait of the dog in it, as it looks like it is non-glare type of glass. Does have a hanger wire on the back, ... morebut probably should be replaced with a heavier grade, as this frame is quite heavy too. Because of its size boxed up. These two cut glass frames are coming out of my grandmother's garage and were owned by her Father. So I know them to be at least 100 years old. Based on the notes from my grandma, which you can see in the pictures, I believe that these used to sit on a desk and hold pictures. However I AM NOT a glass collector. So please judge the quality of these items using the pictures. I can tell you that they have been safely packed away for over 50 years. The frames measure about 3 inches by four inches each and are very solid and heavy.

Up for your consideration is this fantastic Antique Reed& Barton Sterling Silver Frame. The frame was made by Reed& Barton Silver Co. founded in Massachusetts in 1824. This nicely made frame is stamp marked on the back top section with; R STERLING N 9" The R in a shield has an eagle on the left side and a lion on the right side. The eagle R lion mark was used by Reed and Barton Silver from 1889 to 1946. This frame measures approx. 3 1/8 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches tall. There is light scuffs and scratches, but still displays well. There is one tiny dent on the right of the frame about a little over half way up the frame otherwise no other issues that I see. This is a fantastic antique victorian shadow box frame with a large tin type image of someone's sweet little baby from long ago. Walnut 3" deep frame measures 12" x 14" and has a 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" frame opening. Large tin type image is mounted under glass and matted with an oval mat that has a 5 3/4" x 7 3/4" opening. Tin type is in very nice condition. Walnut frame is good and solid. Has several chips to the gilt trim along the edge of one side along with normal age related wear to the finish of the frame. Glass may not be the original. Wire hanger on back. If shipping is less than price quoted difference is refunded to the buyer.

This is just a great looked floral painted picture the pictures I've taken will never do it justice. Hand painted on artist type board and signed Adams it's 15 1/2 in. across. The frame and background color are a pale yellow color and the bowl of flowers are done in reds.Greens,yellows,blacks and browns. The frame is accent with four bands of gesso roses that are accented in gold. The back is still the original old brown backing paper that has the old NPA Code sticker that was in use I believe from the early 1900s until the early 1940s it has 12- 12 which I believe dates this as being framed in Dec. of 1912. The only defect is some very light brown spot staining on the left side of the picture that disapears at 3 feet away and might wipe off with water,but I'll leave that to the new owner to try and the brown backing paper is ... moresplitting around the backside of the frame. Measures 11 inches long. PIcture window in CM is approx 16.5 X 12(measured in cm for better accuracy) Easel frame. Can stand alone, but also has ring for hanging from the wall. Dark wood- almost black. Carved with spear-shaped projections at the 4 cardinal points. Antique Vintage Wood and Gold Floral Filigree Gesso 16 x 20 Picture Frame
This is a fantastic antique picture frame for a 16" x 20" photo. Print, or painting. There is no glass, so if glass would be desired, it would need to be 16" x 20" to fit into the frame. The frame is solid and sturdy, very well made, and in very good condition overall. There are two spots where the gesso has chipped away and are shown in the photos. There are actually four layers of wood; the layers alternate between medium-dark finished wood with a slightly reddish hue and wood that is topped with a leafy floral gesso and painted gold. The gold may have been repainted at some time, and there are some spots where the gold has been accidentally brushed onto the edges of the adjacent wood(you can see this if you look closely at the pictures. It looks fantastic the way it is, and I believe the gold spots on the stained wood ... morecould be removed easily. Overall, both wood and gesso are fantastic. The outside measurements of the frame are 25 1/2" x 30" It does not have any hangers on the back at this time and can be used both horizontally or vertically depending on where the hangers are placed. The bone piece is boardered with an intricate flower and gilt design before a white gap creates a splendid contrast to the gorgeous picture frame. That frame is a highly detailed mosaic of bone. Gold and coloured wood pieces which is a speciality to Persia/Iran and is called Khatam-Kari. Description*Please Read All of the Information in the Listing. Fine antique Edwardian oak picture frame c.1910. Just 1 of several Edwardian frames I currently have on ebay. Please check out my other items, stock is continually arriving. This is a fine mid-sized Edwardian picture frame. Often used for family photographic portraits, dating at a guess to around 1910. All handmade it has a stunning rippled border with a first-rate'Egg& Dart' carved motif giving it a real'Arts& Crafts' kick. Measuring approx 18.75" by 14.75" with a rebate size(for your image) of 15" by 11" 380 mm x 280 mm) This fine frame has all the rich visual attributes you associate with antique oak. Eye-catching& smooth to the touch it is incredibly tactile. It is quite understated& minimal in design but in the case of this ... moreold frame less is considerably more. It's a great dark nutty oak colour, t here is a quality of craftsmanship evident here that you just don't see with modern frames. I have given this frame a good buff with a good quality clear beeswax which cleans the frame& also brings up the detail in the lavish grain. CONDITION No damages to mention. One or two small light bashes to rear corner edges so you won't see them when hung, what I call light age commensurate wear, excellent condition when you consider the great age. A quintessential Edwardian oak frame in excellent condition that will really suit a quality picture. Any questions please ask.
