Complete with glass shade and fully functional. I had to empty it out. And the reservoir doesn’t have any kerosene smell because I used it with fine oils only. Currently I don’t have the right size wick for this lamp and old ones are a bit too short. But are included. Lamp is unmarked and mark ... moreon the base looks more like made by a testing brush then factory marking. But European origin, most likely German, c 1880. You can see the electric conversions pretty often. But it is hard to find original unconverted lamp in working condition today. CONDITION: Lamp is in very good original cosmetic condition. There are no chips, cracks or repairs, and the only flaw worth mentioning is some minor ribbing to the gold, expected to be found on over 100 year old item, even though gold is 90% intact and in much better condition than average. This tall lamp measures 36 + inches up to the top of the chimney and can became a focal point of your house décor. It looks great as a centerpiece on your dining table. Creates unforgettable old charm atmosphere able to fix your formal dinner even if your turkey was cold and dry. Today I present to you this Antique Plumes& Atwood(P&A) Mfg Company Kerosene Oil Clear Pattern Glass Lamp Eagle Burner. 1880s-1900s. As information, P&A Manufacturing Company was organized in 1869. They expanded their business rapidly by purchasing a similar company, named Hayden& Griggs Manufacturing Company in Waterbury Connecticut. P&A Mfg Co also made all brass parts for Aladdin Lamp Company through 1963. In 1955 P&A moved its manufacturing division from Waterbury to Thomaston Connecticut. Risdon Mfg Co of Danbury CT took over the Waterbury Plant during ... morethis period. Description This antique P&A kerosene glass lamp has an Eagle burner that is fully functional with a new wick. The antique lamp is 10 1/2" inches tall and 6 1/8" inches in diameter. As I mentioned earlier the antique kerosene oil lamp is in great condition. There are no chips or cracks in the glass. Also. There is no foreign residue like yellow or green stains in the lamp. The lamp is completely clean and is ready for immediate use. Also. There are no visible signs of wear except on the Eagle burner's brass plating. The glass chimney is missing from the antique lamp. The circa of this antique kerosene lamp is 1800s-1900s. History This antique kerosene lamp belonged to my brother Johnnie who was an avid antique collector. He particularly enjoyed collecting vintage Native American turquoise jewelry. Silverware, etc. In 2003 he purchased this vintage piece at an estate auction in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. ANTIQUE GONE WITH THE WIND OIL KEROSENE BANQUET LAMP WITH FOLIAGE
Rare 1890's Gone with the Wind Banquet Lamp. This is a very hard to find shape of Jumbo Parlor Lamp with matching shade& base. It has the double duplex burner turners. This lamp has amazing metal work. The bottom"Bun" Feet are very store and decorative. The glass is all hand painted and finished with beautiful Leaves& stems with little trails of vines. The shade is a full size large piece. The bottom is a wonderful bulbous shape. The lamp stands 27" tall to the top of the chimney. The base is 17" tall on its own. The shade stands 11" tall and is 10" aprox in dia. There are not chips, cracks or repairs to the glass. Some normal flea bits on the edge of the shade, but not seen. We mention for accuracy, but the shade edge is remarkable as well as the rest of the lamp for its odd large size and age. The ... morelamp has been electrified. Long ago someone put a switch off to the side of the tank. We have left the lamp in"As Found" condition. It has not yet been restored. The cord is an old one. And we will wait to see if the lamp sells in this round before we seek out a restoration. That way the new owner can decide weather to update the electric or put it back to full oil use. The stems are marked Duplex( see pictures) The bottom frame is very sturdy and a bit heavy. The look of this lamp is very sleek and would blend wel with Victorian, Art Nouveau or even Arts& Crafts or Mission decorations. We would take the lamp apart for shipping and it will be triple boxed. 2 Antique Vintage Glass Hurricane Oil Lamp, Beaded Globe - Perfect Condition!
These two antique/vintage Hurricane Oil Lamps came from a family collection. Not sure of their age. However. The larger one had oil in it when I took most of pictures but I have since emptied it. The last photo shows it emptied and still retaining the red color which appears to be from the oil, i.e. the glass is actually clear. The switch on the large one looks like it might be a replacement to me. On the bottom of each appears to be trademarks. Miniature Antique Oil Lamp Shade, Original and Hand Painted Enamel
This beautiful oval miniature shade has lovely hand painted enamel decoration. Which is in excellent condition. It measures approximately 3-1/2 inches in height, with a base fitter of 1-3/4 inches. The bottom fitter edge is rough cut and rough polished. There may be a clear outside layer of glass over the blue glass. Shade is in excellent condition, no chips or breaks. Ruby Cut to Clear Lamp Up for sale is a ruby/cranberry cut to clear lamp. I think it was originally an oil lamp and was converted to electric a while ago. It stands 18 3/4" tall including the harp. The glass part is 5 1/2" high and 3 1/2" wide. It sits on a marble base. I'm not sure if it works as I am afraid to plug it in- the cord is in bad shape and needs replacing. The glass part is in excellent condition with no issues. The brass stem is split in two places. The marble base has a small chip off the corner. Please be advised that shipping to Alaska. Authentic. Not a reproduction. Made by Carl Plath Company Hamburg Germany. The company started making compasses in 1876. Until then they were mainly made in Great Britain. Item shows age. Wear, tear, scratches, discoloration, dirt, glass dent/chip/damage(upper left side- like getting hit on a car windshield from a rock, but does not appear to impact the item) and so forth as you can imagine. Either someone replaced the wick in the oil lamp or it was never used. Too nice. History/age of the piece is unknown- found at an estate sale. The gentlemen, who was put in a nursing home, had a huge collection of nautical items. The lantern is visible through the glass so they could see what the compass read. Antique French "Pigeon" oil lamp. Newly restored, excellent working condition.
This is an antique French oil lamp. Measuring approx 10" tall these fabulous little lamps would have been in every household. This one is made of chromes brass and has a few dents. Made by"Pigeon" these lamps were copied by many other companies but this is the iconic collectable top quality one! Dating from the late 1800s to early 1900s they were marketed as being the safest lamp on the market. I use one myself and can confirm that you can tip it over while lit and it won't leak and burst into flames. The handle is designed with a slot so it can be mounted on a wall as well as being safe to carry as the handle doesn't get hot! Very often. The bases are rusted through or the winders are broken beyond repair so these are not as easy to find in good working condition as you might wish. This early oil lamp is 9" from the base to the burner and 10 3/4" from the base to the top of the burner. It is 16 1/2" with the chimney. The marble base is 4 inches by 4 inches. This lamp had a tag on it calling it Ring Purty and giving a date of 1859. It listed a retail value of overy $100. The tag said it was lead glass. The font has a rim in the middle then thumbprints on the top and bottom of the rim. The glass is paneled as it gets smaller to fit into the base. The base is brass and it has a marble base the brass piece sits on. There is green velvet on the bottom of the base. The glass is clear and has no damage. Antique Original Brass " Lampe Veritas" Oil Lamp Art Deco Version
This is a genuine original oil lamp. Made by the Veritas factory in the UK. The cap to the oil reservoir is inscribed"Lampe Veritas" see photo) and the wick winder has the"V" logo in its Art Deco format. Which dates the lamp to the 1920s. The wick is still in place(see photo) and can be raised and lowered by turning the winder. The mechanism is still in good working condition. The lamp has three stud"feet" underneath to enable it to stand on a table. Or it can be hung as a ceiling light with its glass shade. It can be used in a modern electric set-up by simply dangling the bulb down through the centre of the shade(see photo) But the lamp has not been damaged or altered from its original state, and still could be used as an oil lamp(although we have not tested this out! The brass has dulled to a pleasant antique ... morecolour. But could easily be polished to a shine again if desired. There is a small chip on the upper surface of the glass shade(see photo) which is not obvious when hanging. And there are old repairs on the hanging frame(see photos) One of the decorative"teeth" on the oil reservoir is missing. The overall appearance however, is good. The diameter of the base of the shade is 14" The overall height of the lamp is approx. 28" I recommend collection in person as it is very breakable. Antique Vicrotian Brass Hanging Pulley Chain Oil Lamp Pull Down Lamp 14" Shade Hello Everyone. This is a Beautiful Victorian Brass Hanging Pull Down Oil Lamp. Patent August 23rd 1892. I don't know a lot about these. I'm a Gaslight/ Electric lamp guy, But I will do my best. All original and matching shade ring. Chimney ring, and upper mechanism canopy. The smoke bell may not be original. It's a little different and is missing three of the little details. Please excuse the chain stops in most of the pictures. I had the wrong ones on there. The close up picture of the round chain stop with the flower are the ones you will get. I believe these are the original correct stops. The condition of the brass is great. I think the patina is perfect. Just the right amount of tarnishing. Chains are good. Not tangled. I'm not sure I ... morehave the chains wound correctly. May need to be reversed. They may need to have a few links removed from one side. The spring is working. Although it needs oil badly. Also needs some help toward the higher position. This might be because of the looseness of the canopy. Might be because it needs weight from a shade. As I said. Gaslight and Electric are my specialty. Needs one washer where the chains ride. One side has it. The mechanism needs to be tightened against the decorative canopy. It is spinning and the chains get caught on the side of the holes. Overall. This is an easy restoration for someone who knows exactly how these are supposed to work. Measurements. Minimum height from hook to bottom of ring. Chains wound is 23 inches. Maximum height from hook to bottom of ring. Chains unwound is 52 inches. Distance between lower ring and upper ring is 15 inches. Diameter of lower ring is 14 inches. This Hand Blown crystal glass was originally made pre 1850's. It is faced on the outside with beautiful flowing grape. Grape leaves and grape vines believed to be wheel cut by hand. The lamp measures approximately 3 1/2 inches tall and 3 inches across. The lamp sits on a pontil column sized to fit a candlestick holder. The lamp is in nice condition with no chips or cracks and the design is crisp and bright. The interior shows that the lamp condition is as new and appears never to have been in use. Antique BRASS STudent OIL / KEROSENE LAMP ( Electrified)-Shades & Chimneys
Antique brass student lamp has been electrified. The lamp came from a Victorian era home in Texas that had been converted to a Bed& Breakfast and was using many of the original furnishings. The lamp measures about 25" tall x 20" wide. I see no dings or dents; there is a few small spots where there is wear to the brass that we did not attempt to clean. The little turn knob for on/off is missing from the base. But could be easily replaced. The chimneys are clear glass and measure 10" tall. The milk glass shades are about 9 3/4" diameter on the bottom and 3 3/4" diameter at the top opening. The shades do not have chips or cracks but do have the usual roughness at the opening edges from use. We are not lamp experts, so please ask any questions you might have before bidding.

1870's Antique Original Betty Oil Lamp This 1870's Betty Oil Kerosene Lamp has been in my personal Antique Collection for over 40 years. This is a very primitive early lighting device an has a unique primitive look. It has the original hanging hook that is about 3 inches long. It also has a type of cleaning apparatus that is still attached. It measures approximately 7 1/2 inches tall by 2 1/2 inches wide. It is in great condition for its age. This would make a great addition to your early American and/or Primitive lighting collections. A Betty lamp is a type of oil burning lamp that was used primarily by American colonists during the 18th and 19th centuries. Its name comes from the German word besser. Translated to mean“to make better. The lamp was made with a covered, shallow bowl containing an inner spout that holds a wick. The ... morebowl holds the oil or fat used to fuel the lamp. Betty lamps often had chains or hooks so the light could be elevated. The design of the Betty lamp is thought to have been inspired by the clay dish lamps used in Europe prior to the 18th century. The first Betty lamps had uncovered iron. Tin, copper or bronze bowls that held fish oil or scraps of fat and the wicks were made of twisted cloth. The Betty lamp is thought to be of German. Austrian, or Hungarian origin. The Betty Lamp first came into use in the 18th century. They were commonly made of iron or brass and were most often used in the home or workshop. These lamps burned fish oil or fat trimmings and had wicks of twisted cloth. Betty lamps are being made today but now most people burn olive oil or vegetable oil. They are popular with living history buffs. Because of its association with colonial domestic activity. The Betty lamp was chosen for the symbol of the American Home Economics Association in 1926.

The lamp features the original metal font insert with 2 wicks. The wick turning knobs both have writing on them but it is hard to see. I can make out Jan. 21, 90. Both knobs turn and have the old wicks. The metal font is in fine condition with no cracks to the metal. Lamp is i n very good condition with no chips. Cracks or dings to the glass. There are striations to the glass which is normal for glass of this time period. There is some light wear to the paint on the top of font from handling and use.
