This beautifully crafted 18" swirled glass font. Fluted base, heavy glass oil lamp was found with a Scovill burner; unfortunately the burner was destroyed while removing. A new solid brass Queen Anne#2 antiqued B&P Lamp Supply burner was put in its place(last two photos) The estate was at a large farm outside Lewisburg, Ohio. Thanks for looking and happy bidding! Three large hearts around the bowl are divided by a handle and 2 leaves. The base is a 3 part mold while the bowl is a 2 part mold. The hearts are blown out{ extruded} Listed in a 15 year old book for $125.00- $175.00. Made after 1880. This lamp is in good condition. No chips or cracks, but 1 of the outside air bubble has broke you can only find it by rubbing your hand over the hearts. You can not see it. Because it is just a rough spot. No chimney. ORIGINAL ANTIQUE 19THC. VICTORIAN KEROSENE / OIL PULL DOWN LAMP FONT 3 PC MOLD
Up for auction I have a Antique 19th century mold blown kerosene lamp font that came from a large Victorian acid etched pull down lamp. The lamp that this came from was an 1870's- 1880's one. This appears to be a three piece mold and is free from damage. This has the normal roughness inside in some areas that you see in a hand made blown glass piece and the normal wear on the base from 100+ years of use. The threads on the brass collar and cap look great. This could use a good cleaning. Size is approx. 4 5/8" in Dia. x 3 1/4" tall( including the collar) Good luck! Made of brass and iron. A gimbal allows something that contains liquid to self level in a situation such as a ship where the floor would not remain horizontal, something you would appreciate especially with a lamp holding flammable fuel. There is an old wick coming out of the burner side, and a thumbscrew that will open the filling space. The gimbal is made of iron, a gracefully curved heavy bar that would have been placed into a hole in a post drilled to hold a lamp such as this. The lamp itself is made of brass, made to withstand heavy duty use. When you remove the thumbscrew, the plate on the top will lift off with the wick. We could not find another example like this one so we are calling it rare. What a great chance to obtain something that would have been vitally useful in its time, but is a relic now that predates the electric light bulb. I was lucky enough to acquire several old oil lamps from the estate of an old collector in Upstate NY. She lived in a beautiful house dating back to the 1800's. In her passing. She left tons of wonderful treasures. This lamp is one of them. This is a beautiful reverse painted oil lamp. Cobalt blue that fades to a lighter blue. Pretty floral motif on front. There is a couple areas where the paint from inside the glass has flaked off but in overall nice condition for its age. Aged finish on base with some beautiful areas of green patina. A what I believe to be Victorian oil lamp. It stands 23" 59cm) and is in good condition for its age. I think the main body is cast. not magnetic) is without damage, and on the inside of the base raised is 1831. The glass font is good with no damage. The burner has Hinks and sons on the side and there is 1 chimney finger missing. Both wicks will rise and fall, and one of the ceramic inserts has the writing worn. Antique Copper Oil Burner This unusual antique copper oil burner lamp would most likely have had a glass funnel of some kind. It has a quirky footed holder and is in uncleaned condition. Antique Victorian Oil Lamp With Venus Burner
Up for auction is this beautiful Victorian. Handpainted, all original Kerosene Lamp with Venus Burner. I would date this lamp 1875-1895. The wick regulator has"Venus- Pat. Dec. 10, 1867" embossed on it. The glass body of the lamp is painted with brown and green oak leaves and acorns. The iron foot base is cast with a very pleasing foliate design. Measuring 17" to the top of the chimney and 8.50" across the base, this lamp is a very desirable size. It is 10" to the top of the burner and this glass body is 5" in diameter. This lamp has never been electrified. The chimney may have been replaced at some time but it is not new. This beautiful lamp is very clean and perfect in every way. We found this miniature oil lamp recently at an estate sale and it is in excellent condition without any chips or cracks but does have original mold marks and some internal flaws.There is also some tiny chips around the top of the shade that are original and a flaw on the side of the shade.It is hand painted with about 50% of the original paint remaining and measures about 9" tall X 3-3/4" across the base.This is a Rare lamp and hard to find with the matching top. Antique 1800's Royal Victorian Oil Kerosene Burner Hurricane Lamp Nickel Plate
THIS ITEM IS FOR SALE AGAIN BECAUSE OF A NON PAYING BIDDER. THIS AUCTION IS FOR THE ROYAL OIL OR KEROSENE LAMP ONLY. Here we have a BEAUTIFUL ORNATE antique 1800's metal Victorian oil or kerosene burner hurricane table lamp that is nickel plated! It has a glass chimney that came with it. The lamp body is GORGEOUS with a GRACEFUL pedestal design that curves in and out to the bulbous area. It has 3 dimensional scrolls. Leaves and beads around oval raised areas all around the top! The foot is also very ornate and FANCY with cut outs scrolls and leaves! The area between the foot and the bulbous part that curves in and out is smooth. The burner is either oil or kerosene and the very top of the burner is signed"Royal" and appears to have dents but the rest of the lamp is in really good condition. It has the number 19 or 61 impressed ... moreon the bottom. A magnet will stick only to the footed base and not to the bulbous part or the burner parts some of which may be brass. 18 3/4" tall to top of chimney. 11" to top of burner, 5" foot to foot and 6 1/8" foot to foot with base with foot in front. Condition is very good with only one narrow 1 1/2" long dent on the side near the protruding center(please see 2n d to last photo for it) and I almost missed it. It is not very noticeable because it is next to the protruding center. It could use a cleaning but I will leave that to the new owner. I apologize for not knowing much about this type of lamp but I guess we can't know about everything. Right? All I know is that it is a BEAUTY! I have another oil or kerosene lamp on Ebay and it has a 3 dimensional figural bust which resembles Robin Hood on both sides of the metal urn vase part of it. It can be seen in the last photo. Antique cast iron pressed glass hand painted porcelain oil kerosene lamp base
Antique c 1880's kerosene oil lamp base. Pressed Glass Globe and Hand Painted on white porcelain. Cast iron 5 by 5 inch base. Stands 11 and 1/2 inches high. Can be electrified but can go either way. Antique Oil Lamp Base & Shade, GWTW Hand Painted, Cast Brass, Restoration, Parts
A ntique oil or kerosene lamp base and shade are hand painted in Gone With the Wind style. Both pieces are milk glass with maroon and pink flowers with white and blue with beading. Each is painted on both sides. The base is more teal than. The shade more blue and shade has a yellow band on the bottom rim. The base is cast bronze or brass with an ornate design and a screw in opening. There is no burner or chimney. It has not been electrified and there are no cracks. There is chipping on both rims of the shade only. There is discoloration around the area where there is paint loss. Possibly from spilled oil. Still good condition for it's age, which dates to the late 1800's to early 1900's and being sold as found, could be a fun restoration project. This is heavy and large. Antique Miniature Night Light Oil Lamp/Drape Pattern/Heavy Glass Matching Shade
You are bidding on an old antique miniature oil lamp which would probably have been used as a night light. This lamp doesn’t look like it was used. The lamp and matching shade have a drape/curtain pattern. Which some people have said is a Lincoln Drape Pattern. But we’re not sure. We are not glass experts. Maybe someone out there can tell us exactly what the pattern is. The lamp is in very good condition with no cracks. There are some very small flea size chips on the bottom of the chimney. The washer on the underneath of the screw top is deteriorating somewhat. And appears to be made of cork. The lamp measures about 6 3/4 inches to the top of the chimney. And about 5 ½ inches to the top of the shade. The base measures about 3 ½ inches in diameter at the widest part. There is a number 3 embossed on the bottom of the lamp base.
