Up for bid is an antique Tung Woo maritime oil lamp. Made in Hong Kong. I do believe it's missing the top of the chimney pipe. See condition in photos. Glass is free of cracks& breaks. ANTIQUE ALADDIN #8 OIL LAMP...RESTORATION...ORIGINAL SHADE
This antique Aladdin brass oil lamp was made between 1919 and 1920. At some point it was electrified and has a cord attached(cut off) However. It is in good order, all parts are in good condition; there is no chimney. The shade is original to this lamp and is in very good condition with no cracks or breakage. The lamp with shade stands 18 inches in height. It needs a good cleaning, but there is no damage to the metal. No dents or other appearance problems. This#8 lamp is considered hard to find and would make an excellent Christmas gift this season for someone who knows and loves these old Aladdin oil lamps. I am not a"lamp person" and don't know much about this antique. Therefore, I cannot say any more about the lamp. I'm hoping someone will restore it to its original condition. Antique 19Th Century American Pewter Whale Oil Lamp Unsigned
Up for bid is a fairly large antique American pewter lamp by an unknown maker. Nice scrolled handle and double burner that screws on and off very easily. No major dings to the body with a small area on the lamp base that may or may not have been repaired long ago. See last two photos.it stands approx 8" to the top of the burner cap. The base is 4 1/4 diameter and the circumference at the widest part of the body is 10" around. Handle is 2 3/4" in height. Questions? Please contact us. It consists on a brass pillar base(not Corinthian as there are no scrolls or decoration to top) marked to the base"J Hinks& Son" and"1781" The base is made with a thick gauge brass as can be seen in the pictures below. The best English cut glass font(hinks ref 192) is made with thick walls measuring nearly 1cm in thickness. The Hinks number 2 burner has a wheeled gallery raiser to allow easy lighting. The age of the glass chimney globe is unknown. The burner/wick assembly is new and unused. The lamp is 16" inches tall. Besides being a functional oil lamp which can hold a quart of lamp oil which can mean many days of light during power outages. These oil lamps made from antique Ball Perfect Mason jars make for beautiful displays of Americana, attractive decorations and conversation pieces. They display very nicely on fireplace mantles. This listing is for 3 Light Fixture Pieces. This is a very beautiful Brass finial that may have screwed onto the bottom of a chandeleir or maybe on top of an oil lamp or some other such. It is very ornate and decorative with a beautiful plant theme with green and gold leaves on top. It is 3.25 Inch Tall. There is also a small brass switch which may be a key but I think that with the threads on the inside of the end that it was most likely a switch for an antique lamp or maybe an oil lamp. Up for auction is this fascinating Gothic Banquet Lamp Base. This base is in overall good condition and has no serious condition issues that would effects it's functionality. Though the base does show wear. The base is a copper base with metal designs applied to it. On two faces of the base, there is a devil, or one could also consider it a gargoyle face, on each side. The base has two handles that are metal dragons or gargoyles, depending on your interpretation. There are no splits or cracks in the metal designs, or the copper base for that matter. I believe this base would look a lot better should one do a thorough cleaning and polishing of the cotter material. Antique Elegant Victorian style kerosene Parlor Oil Lamp in nice condition for the age,circa late 1800's early 1900's.It is a banquet style oil lamp that is nickel plated.the design is lovely.Lamp base& burner only no shade. The lamp looks like it may be an Alladin or Rayo.but it isn't marked except the burner. Measures 20 1/2" tall from the top of burner to base. base measures 6 1/2" wide.has wear from age and use.needs cleaned and polished.no wick. Burner collar measures 2 1/2"wide. I have described this to the best of my knowledge.I have taken lots of pictures so you can see what it is and what it has.it's from an estate. VINTAGE FRENCH TIME WORN TREASURES This is a very attractive antique candlestick oil lamp. The small glass oil chamber is in a lovely cranberry coloured glass. The circumference of the glass is only 11¼” So it is quite small but very elegant looking. The glass and burner section slots into place into the bronze or brass candlestick, please see photograph 4 to see how the fitting works. The burner section is marked WW Kosmos on the wick winder. The lamp is in really nice condition. The wick winder turns but it does not move the wick up to the top. So it may need attention. There are two tiny little splits in the metal of the burner section. Antique Miniature Miner's Hat Oil / Kerosene Lamp - with Wick & Hook
Thank you for looking into our auction of this ANTIQUE TIN MINIATURE MINER'S HAT OIL/ KEROSENE LAMP WITH WICK AND HOOK TO HANG THE LAMP. This is an antique lamp that belongs to one of our grandmothers. And she has asked us to sell it for her. It has been stored away in her attic for many years. It almost seems like it was never used. There is no residue on it, and there is no odor as from oil or kerosene, and the wick doesn't show any signs of being burned. The lid on top lifts and moves on its hinge. There is something printed on the top of the lid, but we have been unable to read it, it may be something about a patent. On the side, we have found the name C. George, Hazleton, Pa. A little research indicated that C. George made oil lamps from 1884, and sold his business in 1908, so it would seem that this lamp dates back to that time ... moreat the end of the 19th century or the beginning of the 20th century. It is still in what appears to be fine usable condition. We can't really find any faults with this lamp, unless you would consider all the solder around the joints, a fault. In any case, it looks like this lamp would work, and it has a hook on it, so it can be hung from a hat or from a beam. The lamp measures approximately 3-1/2 inches high, to the top of the spout, and 4-1/2 inches wide, at the widest point- from the end of the hook to the end of the spout.
