bought this back in the 90's at an estate sale from the robinson mansion in canon city colorado. has an R engraved on back. very ornate piece with raised roses and vines. has beveled glass mirror. measures 4.5 inches across and 6.5 top to bottom. had some damage a some time that has been soldered on back but dose not detract from it's beauty.has some minor damage still on front by handle. is stamped sterling and has what appears to be a 2 with wings? on top. or some other mark. took the mirror out and put on scale. over 1.8 oz and with the silver ring around mirror would be 2 oz of sterling silver. a very nice rare collectable as well as silver. have nver cleaned it so has original patina.

Antique Collectible Hand Held Beveled Mirror Very Detail and Beautiful Detail !
I have here an antique mirror. I don't know to much about this item. I searched high and low on the internet to get more information and was unable to do so. It is beautifully made with a lot of detail that is hard to pick up on camera. The back side of the mirror has a raised image of a young woman sitting at a table with candles and what appears to be a writing utensil in her hand. The original paint on this mirror is chipped and rubbed off in a lot of places but just adds to the character of this piece. It is absolutely beautiful! This delicately lovely antique Gorham sterling hand mirror dates to around 1900. It is a classic example of how Gorham managed to turn flowers as ordinary as carnations into a striking art nouveau composition of a garland of very high relief blooms. I particularly like the way the flowers are aligned up the handle and into the main composition. And it's exactly what you expect in a good piece of Gorham: beautifully executed craftsmanship and a high level of quality in the materials used. And. Of course, the satiny patina is exactly what you would wish it to be. You are getting the best possible value for your money. Condition: antique. Has minor scuffing and a couple of very small dents along the edge of the mirror frame. The beveled circular glass is not chipped or cracked. it actually has no problems and is in excellent condition. Weight: ... moreI don't have any way to measure the weight but it really is quite substantial for its size. Gorham never did skimp on its silver weight. Measurements: total length 8.5 inches. Mirror diameter 4 inch. Markings: 3 part marking: unidentifiable left hand mark(lion or letter) anchor in the middle-Gorham makers mark. STERLING C1244. It is a tiny faint mark on the side of the mirror frame. I can't seem to get a good resolution but will keep trying with a different camera I'm borrowing. I photographed the mirror side without polishing it so I could get a better image without glare. It's polished now. There is the ghost. If you look really hard, of a monogram that has almost successfully been removed. It's only visible at certain angles. Altogether. This mirror is in very, very good to excellent shape. There is just the very minor wear associated with soft sterling over 100 years time. The mirror is in terrific fresh condition with none of the problems associated with aging. Antique 1916 Mahogany Dresser / Dressing Table / Vanity with Mirror
THIS ITEM IS FOR LOCAL PICKUP IN IRWIN. PA 15642 ONLY. NO SHIPPING. Antique vanity/ dresser/ dressing table with mirror. The finish is a dark brown. As shown in the pictures. The facing is missing in a couple places. The mirror has two side mirrors that fold in and out. It has 5 drawers; each drawer has a lock mechanism that looks like it accepts the old style skeleton keys, but I don't have a key for it. The size is about 20 inches deep, 44 inches wide, and 59 inches high. Although I can't tell what they mean, there are several markings on it. Stamped into the wood on the back are the numbers 4474 and 57. 4474 seems like it was important to the manufacturer, because it is in 3 separate places. The mirror is very delicately attached to the dresser. I took the wooden back panel off the mirror to see how it was attached and figure out ... morehow to make it more sturdy, and discovered that the back of the mirror is stenciled with the date June 13, 1916 and an"N" and a"P" which may be the mirror manufacturer's logo. On the inside of the wooden back panel are the words"4474 Mahogany" hand written in cursive pencil. The number"48-88" is stenciled inside the back panel also. 4474 Mahogany Toilet" is also hand written in pencil inside one of the left hand drawers, along with what looks to be the"48-88" again. I looked online but couldn't find information on what these numbers mean or where the vanity came from(or how much it's really worth) I also don't know if"Mahogany" is meant to be the color of the finish, or the type of wood it's made of. The mirror doesn't come off for transportation. It is attached only with 4 screws through the wood mirror frame into the desk part. Which is why the center mirror rocks back and forth a little when the vanity is moved. It could be braced more securely but I don't want to put more screws into it, the new owner can do that. Antique Art Deco Hand Mirror circa 1920 Free Shipping
T he moment I saw this mirror hidden amongst dusty piles of long forgotten memories. I knew I had found a treasure. I did not even bother cleaning it except for wiping it down gently with a soft cotton cloth because the natural patina and dust added something magical to its charm. The colors are still incredibly vibrant and truly unique. As you can see from the pictures there is a lot of aging in the mirror but I find this quality makes it that much more beautiful. I have even gone so far as to antique all of my new mirrors in my home because it adds warmth and whimsy to any atmosphere. Measures 13 inches in length and 5 inches across widest part of mirror.

Large Antique Original Rococo Revival Wall Mirror: Gold Gilt Gesso; c 1840-70
This period Victorian Rococo Revival wall mirror dates from c.1840-1870. It is conducted of wood covered with gold gilt gesso. There are ornate carvings of floral designs(see pictures 4-8) and four desirable grape clusters(see picture 8 for an example) And the scrolled crest is very detailed and certainly accents the remainder of the frame. The mirror and frame is in good original found condition. The mirror itself is in very good condition with no known cracks or other damage. The wear is consistent and appropriate for the age and use. There are some minor chips of gesso and one section(see picture 9) has some small breaks in the gesso. In picture 10, there is one piece that would need to be reattached. The gold gilt paint is consistent over the entire frame and is still a good vibrant color. The original back is wooden and has the original ... morehanging wire( see picture 11) The approx. measurements are: 69" L; 32" W; and sets out from the wall a maximum 11 3/4" With a minimal amount of restoration, this period mirror would be the focal point in any setting. This listing is for an antique/vintage medicine cabinet. Perfect for a cottage/shabby-chic look. The mirror is beveled and in very good condition. Cabinet will need some restoration has to paint and a new shelf. The inside shelf is glass. There is one missing but easily replaced by copying the other one. Antique Humphrey's Witch Hazel Oil Medicine Apothecary Advertising Sign Mirror
This is a circa 1900 antique Humphrey's Witch Hazel oil advertising sign mirror. It is a true piece of Americana. This was probably a store advertisement display for Dr. Humphrey. It shows signs of age. But that gives it a great old look. There is a dancing lady in the top left-hand corner with the word TRADE MARK below her. On the bottom it says HUMPHREY'S WITCH HAZEL OIL. THE PILE APPOINTMENT" TRIAL SIZE 25 CTS. It measures 9 1/2 inches wide by 11 1/2 inches tall by 3/4 inch thick. It has its original stand on the back. I put the four extra staples in to secure it a little better. But the masking tape was already there. The mirror is beveled. The silvering background shows major signs of age. Antique Dresser with Movable Hinged Mirror- Walnut color A lovely. Very old piece. I am not sure of its exact age. It was pulled from my great-grandparents' house in North Carolina many decades ago and kept at my grandmother's. The bar underneath the mirror indicates that it was used to hold a towel. This dresser might have been useful for holding a water pitcher and bowl before most folks even had running water in their homes. Wheels were added to the bottom for ease of use. This special piece is still quite functional. The mirror is really neat- it swings easily fowards and backwards via hinges. One can tell the glass in the mirror is really old. Beautiful dresser with large bevelled original swivel Mirror. Medium Dark Oak. With press American design detail. Dovetail joints, old fixtures. Finish overall appearance is lovely. With some slight dings, and scratches. Late 1800's-Early 1900's. Dimensions 43"1/2 length 71" at top of mirror 19" depth. Has Abernathy Furniture company tag on the the back.
