This extraordinary piece has a matching armoire that we have for sale in our Ebay store so be sure to check it out as well. The vanity has pressed wood designs of acanthus leaves with shells and scrolls above and below the mirror as well as on the legs. The wood flanking the mirror has the same ornate design carved and pressed in it. The tops. Doors and center drawer front are all covered in beautiful burled walnut veneer. Behind each door is a dovetail drawer and shelving for extra storage. There are teardrop style pulls on the doors and on the center drawer. The burled veneer is splitting in some areas and the wood has expanded and retracted over the years causing splits in a couple of areas. Be sure to check out the photos below. I do not know the maker or exact date this vanity was made. I believe it is from the Art Nouveau era which makes it about 100 years old. This piece is antique and will not be perfect. This vanity measures 69 inches tall, 59 ½ inches side to side and 17 3/8 inches front to back. It weighs 114 pounds. We do have more photographs that we can email if you are interested. Your bidding on a very beautiful piece that was hand made in the mid 1800's. there is a box with hinged lid on the front with a mirror. The paper on the back has a few rips in it. This came from England and has a metal plate on the front that says“This cabinet and its contents is the property of The Office Clean Towel Hire Co. Ltd. and is on loan to the user as custodian bailee. The oak cabinet is approx. 22 3/8” x 16” x 5 ¾” It has three shelves. The top section I used to hold Kleenex tissues. I especially like the door with the Red Cross symbol. It has Initial Office of First Aid Outfit painted on it. There are ventilation holes at the top and bottom of the cabinet. Some of the silver is lightly worn on the mirror which gives it that vintage charm I so love. The original finish is in excellent ... morevintage aged condition. There is a split in one section of the wooden towel bar which is not usual for it vintage age and usage. It can be hung with the two round hooks at the top. It is very heavy so use wall anchors with your screws to safely secure it to the wall. The wood backing on the inside that covers the mirror has a couple of gouges in the wood. You could remove the backing and replace the mirror with glass if you wanted to use it as a display case. I purchased this charming antique medicine cabinet from an antique store in 1983. I haven’t seen another one like this one since. I filled it with vintage toiletries and hung it in my powder room. Everyone always complimented me on this beautiful piece. I have recently remodeled. An American Indian to the far right, the world/globe at the bottom and I think a woman at the top who may represent Liberty. I am guessing this represents Columbus discovery of America. This measures 25 x 25, is probably pot metal with a bronze wash, as a magnet does stick to it( indicating it is metal, not bronze or brass) the two hooks on the opposite corners have an S in the middle, while the one at the base has a heart. 3 Paneled beveled glass mirror. The beveled glass is detached from the mirror behind it which makes this piece uniquely rare and special. The condition of the front glass is good however the mirrors behind have black dots, looks like small scratches. The wood shelf mantel has natural scratches and is slightly raised on the corner left. The detail carvings directly above the shelf is a separate piece of wood that is this unattached from the wood piece behind it and can be moved around with the touch of a hand. The center piece above the mantle is either made of silver or aluminum and has been tarnished. The mirror is held together by antique screws and nails. The mirror measurements are 3ft 9in Wide. 1940's VINTAGE VANITY TRAY. 1940's era heavy. Sturdy metal vanity tray. The sides are an embossed brass-plated metal and the handles are solid brass. There are no black spots on the mirror and no cloudiness. No cracks or chips. There is a little VERY FAINT age foxing that you can only see if you hold the mirror up close and tilt it in a certain light. This is very difficult to see and definitely doesn't detract from the great looks of this vintage piece. There are a couple small spots on the side where the brass plating wore off(and the metal underneath is actually a brighter gold- SEE LAST PHOTO) And the velvet on the BOTTOM SIDE is in bad shape, however there's still enough left to make the tray totally non-skid, so this doesn't have to be replaced since it can not be seen when displaying(or could be easily replaced, ... moreif desired, with some non-stretch velvet or felt and a little all-purpose glue) There are no dings, dents or rust to the metal. Vintage window with mirrored panes installed. This one is a six pane window. All the old lead paint has been removed and the frame was then painted a light maroon. After that. I painted it white with a crackle finish to allow some of the maroon to show through. This gives it the appearance of being weathered. This particular one has a 5/8" x 7 1/4" shelf installed for knick knacks.Key hole slots are installed on the back to allow it to hang flat on your wall. I make these windows as I get them with many variations, such as color, antiquing style, shelves, planter boxes etc. and sell them at craft fairs and flea markets. You will love it! Description A FINE ANTIQUE FRENCH CHAMPLEVE ENAMEL& BRONZE OVAL TABLE MIRROR. Dating from the late Nineteenth Century Standing on an easel-back strut. It measures 12" x 7.5" It also has an original hanging ring to the rear if you wish to the utilise it as a hanging wall mirror. For it's size. It is quite heavy ~ weighing 1.5kgs The frame has beautiful Champleve enamel decoration on a French blue ground. And is finished with elaborate ribboned floral decoration to the top and bottom. I think the frame and decoration is made from bronze, possibly originally gilted. The frame and all the embellishments are in very good condition, with no damages. This is one of the most impressive mantle's I've had. At first I thought it was primitive but it's definitely Victorian and called Stick& Ball. It was for a drafting firm or school house as the little drawers have pencil trays. Which I've photographed for you. It's actually 2 pieces. The bottom is a standard mantle front which we added a little interior lip to b/c our fireplace was a bit smaller. So you can fashion this around various sized fireplaces. The top section is a topper that sits on top and will need to be bolted/ affixed to the wall and rests on the mantle-top. The entire piece you are seeing here is 66" wide and 68" tall from the ground to the top ball on either corner. I see no detrimental damage to it whatsoever. It's clean and lovely. Vintage Hardstone and silver-coloured metal belt hook and hand mirror. Made in China. Early 20th century. Measures 9 3/8 inches long. 3 5/8 inches wide. Oval mirror contained in a silver-coloured metal mount with fine chased decorative wings and applied filigree borders. Rope twist borders and decorative sides. The top is set with a hand carved hardstone openwork depiction of a dragon in a beautiful background. Soft green tones to light brown. The belt hook handle. In a cream- brown hardstone, also deeply carved, featuring mythological creatures in deep openwork carving. No signature. Antique art nouveau small brass wall mirror with 2 candle sconces
This is a charming small art nouveau wall mirror and 2 adjustable candle sconces. They are connected to the center of the frame with a bolt and ball nut that I do not feel are original although it has always been there for the 25 years that I have had the piece. It is all brass and has the face of a cherub at top center and on the back has a cast in loop to pass a wire through for hanging. The mirror is held in place by a metal strip screwed to the frame. The mirror is in perfect condition and measures 4" x 1 1/4" The complete length is 9 1/4" x 4 1/4" at widest part of frame. The sconces when fully extended are 8" and I will leave them that way for shipping. There are no identifying marks on it. I do not accept returns or give refunds. I ship only within the continental U.S.
