Usually they are made of bronze. This one has the bronze metal under all that black paint. Lantern appears original. With clear Fresnel lens. Lens is intact but has some BB dings or chips or cracks. Marked in the bronze casting on the side is"A" under that) is U.S.L.H 6. With few if any very minor expected dents, no cracks that I see. Lantern was electrified years ago but it needs repair or the wiring replacement. Overall in good, original condition. Approx. 12” dia. Overall height 27” A fine example of this rare style of Lighthouse Establishment navigational aid. SHIPPING: Very heavy and large for shipping. Weighs over 60 pounds before packing or crating. This is a Antique Ingraham mantle clock that measures 24" high by 15" wide. At the base, by 5" deep. It comes with its winding key. It was manufactured by the E. Ingraham& Co Bristol Conn. This Gingerbread style clock is working and the clock movement is in perfect working condition, along with the nicely alligatored shellac finish it simply shows that the clock has aged gracefully. Hello and welcome to our auction! We are offering this Great Antique E. Ingraham Mantle clock! I think it is an Ingraham clock because we just sold one similiar to this. There is a tag but not able to make our print. This clock has a beautiful look with intricate detailing. Such as uniquely etched bra ss legs. Marble swirl design painted on the wood pillars, and etched design around clock face. We have the ori ginal round glass piece(not sure if original) that needs mounted into the clock. We have the original pendulum. The clock measures about 17" x 6" from the base lets and 11 14/ inches tall. Overall. It appears to be in very good condition for it's age. It has a few flaws which include, some minor imperfections on glass, one of clock hands is missing. There are a few minor imperfections in the wood including very tiny chip ... moreon back cover. Antique Seth Thomas Butterscotch Adamantine Mantle Clock
Up for bids is a Seth Thomas 1880 mantel clock. It is in not in complete working order. There is a bolt coming out of the bottom of it. This clock belonged to my grandmother. Now there is a pic I took of just the pendulum before I put it in the clock. It doesn't swing longer than about 25 times and I don't know much about clocks it does chime on the hour but doesn't chime on the half hour although it does make a sound it just not a chime. Antique New Haven 8 Day Mantle Clock Peaked Roof Late 1800's Needs 1 Bushing
This is a beautiful old New Haven mantle clock in very good condition dating to about 1880. It has it's original key and pendulum. The pin that holds the escape wheel has a little play in it and it needs a new bushing to hold it steady. The clock wants to run but when the lever engages the teeth on the gear it moves just enough to interrupt the rhythm and the clock stops. Some of the paint on the glass is missing but a new stencil can be applied. The clock case is free of any bad damage. There are some small areas of veneer loss on the right corner but the wood grain blends in well and the areas are barely noticable. The wood has that beautiful rich patina and this clock will look great in any room. I am enclosing a picture of the clock's original owner's home showing the clock on his mantle. This stands 17" tall by 10" ... morewide at the base by 4-1/4" deep. Shipping weight will be about 10 pounds. I prefer to ship antique clocks by priority mail for handling reasons. This listing is for a beautiful little clock made by Seth Thomas. It is the"Tudor" model. Made in the first decade of the 1900's. It was my great uncles who passed on about thirty years ago. It is all original. But I do not have a key and so never saw it run. It is a petite 9x6x5. Apart from the usual signs of age. This little beauty is in wonderful shape! The inlay on the case still looks great. The signed, 4 inch enameled dial is bright, and the beveled edge glass is gorgeous. The hands, pendulum, brass feet, everything is original. Other than that, I have no more information.

Antique Chauncey Jerome OGEE Mantle/ Wall Clock Made about 1841. 170 years old. WOW. It is a 30 hour clock and strikes on the hour. Has a terrific gong. Made by the Chauncey Jerome Clock Company. They were one of the largest clock companies of their time. In 1853 the company name became The New Haven Clock Co. The clock has just been serviced by a clock repair professional. There are a number of scratches and dings and the veneer on the outside right edge of the cabinet has been reglued and has a missing piece. The bottom glass has been replaced and painted. The clock measures approx. 26 inches high. 15 1/4 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches deep. The clock weights approx. 16 lbs. before packaging. Missing some of the brass finials from the tops of the columns and at the base of the dial the wood has a chip(see 4th image) Not working, no hands no pendulum and no key. Antique Ingraham electric mantle clock wood case running but needs a little help
Old Ingraham electric mantle clock. Wood case has a few nicks and scratches but overall nice condition for the age. Plugged it in and it ran after i spun starter wheel. But was a bit noisy. Sounds like it needs a bit of oil on the rotor. I didnt take it apart, i only tinker with key wind clocks. Not sure what it would need to make it run a little quieter. SETH THOMAS ANTIQUE"VICTOR" ADAMANTINE MANTLE CLOCK. CIRCA 1898 Up for bid is this beautiful Seth Thomas clock. Recently from an estate this clock is a great runner. The cabinet is wood with an adamantine finish. Adamantine was patented about 1873 and it is a plastic like finish that was applied over the wood and usually had a woodgrain pattern or marble effect which is what this one has. Adamantine is one of the hardest finishes that I have ever seen. This one shines nice and has some blemishes on the finish and a few knicks here and there. But shows beautifully as seen in my pictures. It has a 5" brass dial which shows some wear due to age. The clock runs on an 8 day signed Seth Thomas movement. Has a logo that looks like an SJC but I think the J is a T and that it is a Seth Thomas but I am not certain. Has a patent date of May 9. 188_ a screw blocks out the last number but I did a search on the pat date and a May 9, 1882 clock comes up as Seth Thomas. I believe it is walnut wood and has nice decorations around it. May have been something on the top center as I see 3 small holes where a decoration may have been at one time. Not a big deal. It is in good working condition, includes a key. Has a paper face in good shape with some discoloration. In nice shape with some minor rubs here and there. Typical well taken care of old clock stuff. Has what looks to be a very long ago good repair on the very ... moretop left decorative arch piece. I only noticed it upon super close inspection. May have been a break in the wood on the little arch piece that is not a big deal at all. Repair blends right in. It is structurally sound. It has a reddish brown Mahogany? case with lighter wood decorating the lower front case. From the research I have done. This clock is probably circa 1927 or early 30s. This clock received very good care as it in a beauty. It has a brass bezel, convex glass, silvered face with raised Arabic numerals, 2 key posts, a silent chime post, and decorative black hands. SESSIONS, MADE IN U.S.A. is on the face dial; On the movement is THE SESSIONS CLOCK CO. FORESTVILLE, CONN. U.S.A. PATENT NO. 1700506. Stupendous antique Seth Thomas Capitol gingerbread kitchen mantle clock w/ alarm
Here is a beautiful Gingerbread Clock by Seth Thomas. Circa 1911. This is the Capitol model. An uncommon model. The case is in golden oak and measures 23 in. tall by 15 in wide. The clock is in excellent condition with no cracks in the wood or signs of damage. The glass door is original and the stupendous design is the Capitol Building. Glass door is without chips or scratches. Original dial is signed“Seth Thomas” and it is worn. There is still a small piece of the original label on the back. It has the pendulum but not the key. Clock winds and runs for 10 minutes and it stops. It needs a good oiling and cleaning. Alarm has not been tested and its key is included. This is a nice antique Black painted iron mantle clock. It is made by the New haven clock company. It is an eight day time and strike clock. It does run and chime. Up for auction from my private collection I am offering a beautiful ANSONIA Black Iron 8-Day time and strike mantle clock circa 1882. This outstanding time piece is entirely original and nothing has been altered added or changed. The Black iron case is in very good condition as is evident in the photo's shown. The fancy gold scroll work on the front of the case is in excellent condition and not worn off as so many clocks of this age are. On the bottom of the dial it reads: Manufactured by ANSONIA Clock Co. New York. U.S.A. also shown on the dial is the ANSONIA Trade Mark. The original paper dial shows signs of age which is normal for a clock of this age. This is a great very early New Haven beehive clock. This clock is all original. Including the original reverse painted glass on the door. The case has a round top with veneer throughout, very little loss to the veneer on the clock as seen in the pictures. The dial is the original painted tin dial, but it could use a restoration. This clock is one beauty of a clock; and with most antiques over 100++ years old there are bound to be an imperfection or two. But because of the faux marble adamantine color is very hard to detect. Clocks are a great collectible piece. For the value does not go down, but keeps going up in time; and what a great investment to pass on in the family from generation-to-generation, and MADE IN THE USA. The four brass pole holders. Side Lions Heads and fancy lion like special order feet, all have a hint of gold-gilt to keep them from tarnishing. The four brass pole holders hold lovely onyx adamantine half-poles with two on each side that really sets off the clock. And are in great condition. The case is a complete cover of adamantine in a faux marble multi-color of Oranges. Blue Greens, Tans, Creams on Black. The pictures tell you how beautiful this clock truly is, and how outstanding the coloring is on the adamantine. Measurements are: 18" wide x 12" tall x 7-1/2" deep. A nice large size clock. A signed Seth Thomas. Restored Arabic Dial is offset with an original Ring Type Seth Thomas Brass Bezel(that has been polished) and Spade Hands tell you the time. I believe this clock is RARE because I searched my Tran Du Ley book and could not locate it in the volume I have, but did see one on Ebay not to long ago that sold for a very high price. This is a SUPERIOR example of a totally professionally restored E Ingraham Mantle Clock in ALL ORIGINAL CONDITION. All the parts of this clock are original and have been restored beautifully. It was made in circa 1878 and looks pretty much like it did when it was new. It is a SUPER mantle clock in need of a warm loving home. Runs like new! It has a signed"E Ingraham Clock Co" 8 day time and strike movement which the half-hour and counts the hours on the hour on a gong. Also have an alarm movement and an alarm feature which sounds the alarm loudly on a brass bell. Retains its original thermometer which is working great! The movement runs very well and keeps good time. The movement was just cleaned. Oiled, pivots polished and bushings added where needed. This clock will not need servicing for many years to come. I could not find a similiar clock on Ebay. The center part of the clock has a beehive design. On each side there is a decorative wooden arch which is about 4" high, 1-5/8" wide at the top, and 2-9/16" wide at the base. Photo 3 best shows this design.
