An unusual antique brass oil lamp shade carrier/ holder. Rd 373920 dating from approx 1902. The carrier fits onto the gallery of an oil lamp burner and is designed for a silk/ fabric shade with space for the chimney through the centre and has two hinged clips on the bottom ring. The upright supports are a little loose and It would benefit from a clean. Otherwise it is all in very good antique condition. The rise and fall burner has a bayonet type fitting and a ceramic end to the winder which reads"Hinks's No2 Duplex. Benetfink& Co" Benetfink& Co were a large retailer in London from 1845 to 1907. It appears that an antique 5 pound Navy anchor has been transformed into a lamp by attaching a very well made brass adjustable hood shade embellished with an applied copper design of sailboats and then wired. The workmanship is of professional quality but certainly could have been“home made” The bottom of the anchor(base) is marked on the topside“5” and on the underside“WC& Co” and the word”NAVY” The lamp works; there is a functioning pull chain for on/off. The cloth cord reflects the age of the lamp and it is frayed in several places and may need to be replaced. Overall condition is very good. The lamp weighs almost 6 lbs. 11 oz. Extremely nice old ship light. Electric and probably from early 1900's. I got this approx. 50 years ago. The galvanized finish was deteriorating. Instead of spray painting. I had it brass plated. Still looks good- can always paint. Made by Lovell. Arlington, NJ which is on the screw on brass lid. Lens is in very good condition. Approx. 13 1/2" high- base 9 1/2" wide- weighs approx. 12 lbs.

Antique Clear Glass Oil Lamp with Clear Glass Globe When fully assembled about 13 inches tall. The glass globe is about 8.75 inches tall; it is 12.5 inches around at the widest circumference and tapers to about 6 inches at the narrowest point flaring slightly to finish with a fluted top. Made from molded or pressed glass. The glass base is about 4 inches tall and has a small loop handle. About 14.24 inches wide in circumference at the widest point which is a raised border at about midpoint. The bottom, which is, about 4.25 inches wide has a fancy pattern(which looks like cut glass but is not. The design is like a sunburst or flower. The metal base is about 2.25 tall and appears to be brass. It screws into a brass colored fitting at the top of the glass base. Four prongs of about 1.5 inches tall hold the glass globe in place. The metal base ... moreis stamped"EAGLE. There is a wick still in the lamp and I find the screw to turn the wick stiff. The metal is unpolished and has some discoloration. This is a beautiful decorator's lamp. Deep aqua blue background and a stunning scene around the urn shape. This is a popular scene that I have seen on antique bronze vases. It is the two peacocks or pheasants sitting in a three. I think they are cherry blossoms on the branches and and peony flowers off to the sides. The top is ringed with a beautiful blue and pink trim rim and the bottom is pale yellow in a nice repeating design. The main design is on one side. On the other it is a simple branches design with a plain single butterfly in the center. This may be the artist's mark. The ceramic glazes have a watercolor feel and you can see the brushmarks ... morewhere they fade. The art is painted into an indented design in the urn. They use flat and glossy glazes to accentuate the design. Very beautiful effect created. This is a weighted lamp filled with sand. You can hear it if you rotate it. The works are straight out of the 1930's-40's with red/back push switch and old style shade hoop. This is an estate sale lamp and everything that came out of this house was mid century or earlier. this is a very rare stunning antique green depression glass original Aladdin Nu Type model- B oil lamp. it was made in Chicago IL and the patent pending so it is one of Aladdin's early designs. it is very ornate and made from a thick pressed opaque green glass with a stunning footed hexagon base and ribbed shaft. the oil container is also green glass and has a wonderfully detailed shape. it has a brass shade holder with a large matte white frosted glass shade with heavily embossed ornate detailing. it also has a clear glass shade inside that sits on the burner. the burner works great and at a turn of the signed knob it controls the flame length. in good shape and measures 20 tall by 11 inches wide. there is just a very small chip on the top of the large shade. Here we have an antique industrial lamp from the Machine Age. This lamp is both articulating and telescoping. This lamp has an interesting mount that is designed to mount that is concave and meant to a pipe. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE LARGE CAST IRON BASE THAT THIS LAMP IS ON IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE SALE. I only used that as a way to attach the lamp to show you how it can be mounted and articulated. I would recommend just getting a small section of pipe and 2 wall mountable elbow joints at any hardware store and screwing them into the wall to mount this lamp to it. While this lamp can be mounted and used as shown in photo 1 it is not designed to lock into place as such and is designed to be used as shown in photos 8 and 9. Up for consideration is this Amazing Antique Art Deco Lamp with Dancing Girl circa 1930's. Floral motifs and art deco designs frame the pretty dancing girl playing with brightly colored balls. Lamp is made of painted chalkware with a frosted glass back. Standard light socket is recessed into the base with the original cloth cord and plug. Front is adorned with green. Blue, yellow and red paint. Silver and golds highlight the Girl in all her glory! Glass back plate is frosted with a blue paint that is displaying some crackling and has a few small scratches. This lamp has been in my wifes family for at least 50+ years. She inherited it from her Grandmother. The sale does not include the shade as it makes it more difficult to ship safely. The lamp is in good very shape with just normal wear for it's age. There are no chips or cracks. Rare antique Art Deco industrial ornate rolling mill tool. Use it as a table lamp base with Steampunk gears! Up for auction is an amazing object discovered recently in Tokyo. Japan and brought to Canada to become a part of the Museum of gears project. This is a rare example of a beautiful machinery that was made in early 1900's, a manually operated rolling mill tool by Yoshida& Co. The company still exists but it operates under different management. I've contacted the company and had a chance to talk with a sales manager Lisa Tajima who said that the company was founded in 1914 and this is one of the very first manual rolling mill they ever made. Unfortunately there were no documentation or any photographs survived through the years of company's development and changing times of the World War. One of the older workers of this ... morecompany mentioned that this rolling mill is supposed to have an"L" shaped crank or a handle. I do not have a crank, but I do not think that it would be hard to find a similar one. This tool is in"as found" condition. It hasn't been cleaned, polished or restored in any way, which is probably perfect for any collection. Thankfully there are no cracks, but there are some paint chips on the surface, which in my opinion only add a character to the object. This rolling mill is functional. I've tried to move gears and twist the rollers in both directions. The top pinion could be lowered up and down with the top crank. I am amazed by the amount of exposed gears in this machine! Some of the gears look a little bit yellow but it is because of the machine grease the remains of which are still present on the surface. There is light surface rust on the rollers but it does not affect the movement of the parts. Please, do not be surprised by high starting price of $300. The price I paid was $600. This tool is not something that easily could be found in a thrift store or a flea market. This mill was actually discovered in Japan and sent to my museum. This incredib

Antique Asian Indian Etched Brass/Bronze Peacock Candlestick or Grease Lamp
ANTIQUE ASIAN Indian Bronze/Brass Candlestick or Grease Lamp- Has Age-Could Predate 19th Century This is not my area of expertise. The closest image I could find was a 16th Century Grease Lamp with similar peacock. Bowl, figurines on stand and etchings up and down. Condition: It has the age patina expected of a used instrument of lighting. The chip on the bottom is hardly visible- only found it through feel. No chips elsewhere. I did not attempt to clean or polish the item. The stand is composed of five levels growing out of a base that is 5" in diameter(with more than five ETCHED patterns encircling it) through a big-tailed peacocks of 4 1/4" length. Then up to another smaller peacock of 3 3/4" to two more of 3 5/8" to 2 3/4" to the 6-inch bowl/bassin on which perches the lst peacock, this one only 1 7/8" long ... moreThe bowl which has had held the wax or lamp grease is the most bright and polished section of this old piece. The details on the peacock are most pronounced on the biggest example with the wings and tail feathers quite pronounced. As they get smaller their features get more stylistic than realistic. Metalwork. As I say above, is not my area of knowledge but I do not see any welding marks down the stick itself to indicate a 20th century fake or reproduction but there are folds in the metal on the backs of three of the birds. Weight: 6 lbs 11.2 ounces or 3035 grams Height: to the top of the bird. 16" to the top of the bassin, 14 5/8" Note: the second candlestick in the last picture above is also available. Antique Betz Medical Head Light Lamp? LooK! 1912!
This very unusual Betz medical device appears to be a small lamp a doctor could strap to his head. It is marked"BETZ. PAT. MARCH 12-12" It is made of metal with a round glass lens and an elastic head strap. The strap has lost its elasticity from age. The metal has minor scratches, a few small dents, and some small areas of oxidation. There is a compartment that looks as though it is capable of holding 2 AA batteries. There are no wires or switches in or on the compartment, so I don't believe it was for batteries. The device has been stored in its original mailing box. The box has a mailing label that reads"Dr. Shumate. Reeds Springs, Mo. and has an affixed Geo. Washington 5 cents stamp. I have no idea how this device worked, how it was used, or whether it currently works. It is sold as-is. It would make an interesting addition ... moreto one's collection of medical device oddities. It is a cast metal figure with copper color patina. In great shape for the most part considering age which upon some slight research appears to be from somewhere in the 1940’s? Some say 1920’s… There were a few different varieties of these made. Some with clocks. Some without, some with lights only… etc…and different clocks too. This one is unique in that the clock has Roman Numerals, the few I have seen with clocks have regular numbers. The light WORKS but the clock does not and I do not know how to fix it. But I am sure it can be done. At the bottom in raised letters is Statue of Liberty ... moreand on the bottom back is Souvenir of New York. NO DATE! There is slight damage to one point of her crown. See pics please, and no cover on the bottom, not sure if there was any for this model. The piece is approximately 17 inches tall to top of bulb as compared to some 8” models…perhaps that can distinguish when made? There has been some rewiring of sorts…at least it appears so and one wire cap missing from the re-wire… so please be careful when plugging in to test or get a little wire cap first. The piece is silver plated and dimensions are 61 cm total height(top to bottom) 21,5 cm height of lampada and 23 cm wide. The lamp is very imposing and has a beautiful patina. This auction is for a VINTAGE UNITED ANIMATED LIGHTED WINDMILL MOTION CLOCK. Stunning pink clock case. The clock dial is marked UNITED and the back is marked UNITED CLOCK CORP. BROOKLYN N.Y. MODEL 470 and the bottom of the clock is marked with information on how to change the bulb. The clock dates around 1948-1950. The clock measures approx. 10& 1/4" H x 8" W at the base. The motion part of the clock is the windmill blades spin around to simulate the spinning of a real windmill in motion. The center jewel on the dial also rotates while the clock is running. The metal scenery is a country type scene wi th a dutch girl. Bridge, water etc. as you can view in the photos. The motion area lights up as you can view in the photos and there is a light switch to turn the light off or on. There is no damage to the clock case. Glass over ... moredial or dial. TO SUM UP THE CLOCK: IT KEEPS ACCURATE TIME. THE MOTION OF THE WINDMILL AND JEWEL WORKS AND THE MOTOR IS QUIET. This is a really beautiful clock. These are hard to find with lion. Moon, and crown. Most of these had crosses or something similiar. It makes me think that maybe it came from england. I don't know the exact age. But from the color of the paint, I think it is from the 1920's or 1930's. It doesn't have a makers mark adn I don't know who made it. But it is well made and has terrific details. These were used as tv lamps. But this one doesn't have the light socket with it. But a new one ... moreis easy to attach to it. These were also used as door stops.
