It has an artistic metal base and metal liner at top to hold the original brass oil lamp. At some point it was electrified and the hand painted globe was added. It has been this way as long as I can remember, I have not changed anything. The oil lamp sets securly into the liner. I have been told this vase was used to hold the oil lamp yet allowed it to be carried to another room that would have a similar vase, it makes sense. There are dragons around the widest part of the vase and decorations along the top rim. I have not seen any markings to indicate artist or oringin. It does need some cleaning. A combined electric light and radio antenna. The base. Top and side rails are made of a gold painted aluminum. Small flecks of paint are missing along with one large area on top back. Vintage Antique Industrial Operay Multibeam Surgical Lamp Machine Age Light
For your consideration is a rare 1930's"OPERAY MULTIBEAM" surgical light. This large floor lamp screams steampunk! The upper section probably hung from the ceiling originally. It has been mounted on the telescoping base and works great. The 23" diameter cast iron base has pivoting casters that allow it to be moved around easily. The gear mechanism works fine an allows the mirrored lamp head to be pivoted in its yoke. In the one photo I have removed the bottom lens to show the interior convex reflecting mirrors. The sockets accept standard base bulbs(bulbs not included) The hand blown 8" glass globe on top is new and shows off a carbon filament bulb. The cord is a new 18 gauge cloth covered wire with an old fashioned two prong plug. The lamp operates great and has lots of character. The piece has light rust stains and ... moretarnish. Adding to the character. The piece is free of any dents, breaks and cracks. What paint was on it has been stripped down to a bare metal, with exception of the center sphere which has its black finish. This is a very nice Antique Boudoir Lamp with a Reverse Painted Landscape Scene on the Glass Shade and Painted Glass Base with Czechoslovakia Stickers. This lamp includes a beautifully hand painted glass shade. Featuring a continuous landscape of trees, farmhouses, lakes and mountains in the distance. It is painted in beautiful tones of a brownish orange, blue, green, brown and white. Appears intended as a winter scene with snow on the roof, ground and trees. The pattern on the shade repeats once but seamlessly. The base is also very fine glass with the same brownish orange background color, and is hand painted on the outside surface with landscape scenes similar to the shade except without houses. The lamp is 12 inches high overall including the shade, the shade is 6-3/4 inch diameter. The lamp is operational with a 15 watt bulb and would ... moremake a beautiful night light. There is one"Czechoslovakia" sticker taped to the bottom of the shade, and another"Czechoslovakia" sticker glued to the base. No company names or signatures are found. Clearly this lamp is from the electric light vintage as there would be no escape for fuel heat or combustion products, or entrance for oxygen. Looks similar to a Ruckl or a Bellova, but an internet search did not turn up any exact matches. Condition: The shade and base are in very good vintage condition having no cracks. Repairs, or repainting. There is one small chip about 1/8 by 1/8 by 1/16 inch deep in the base at the surface hole where the cord exits. Electrically, the socket and cord look original. The cord has been taped at the exit from the base and the fabric is worn from the cord near the tape and near the plug. Consideration should be given to rewiring the lamp from the socket to the plug. Overall. This beautiful lamp is in very good original condition, is in good working order, and displays beautiful natural landscape scenes when lit. Antique bronze oil lamp. The lamp measures 3” in length and 2” in height at the handles crest so I assume this was a table top light. The bronze has gone green and there are spots that show corrosion. This is from my family. And I understand that my aunt bought this in a souk, somewhere in the Middle east, sometime in the 1930’s before WWII. I have no real idea as to its exact origin. Its shape is in the Roman style. However the handle appears to be a dragon with its tongue hanging out to lick the oil, or perhaps the flame. This would indicate a more Asian influence. Or perhaps it’s not a dragon. Antique 1882 Hanging Library Light Lamp Victorian White Milk Glass Shade When I first got this lamp is was all in one piece. When I stored it the side brackets that were soldered on have broke off and need to be soldered back on. I also have forgotten exactly how it goes togerther but all of the original pieces are there. Base is silver finished spelter metal or maybe pewter. Glass font tank is blue glass with a thumb print honeycomb pattern. The pattern can be felt on the outside. Glass section is in perfect condition with no cracks. Chips, or cloudiness. Glass does have lots of tiny little air bubbles cased within the glass. Burner collar is unmarked and shows signs of age(tiny stress cracks) upon very close inspection. Burner seems complete and burns a flat wick. Included. Wick adjustment knob works fine. It is marked with a lion and the letters O. E. B. The knob nameplate has a crack as pictured. One chimney mounting tab is missing. 1700's Antique Hand Painted Ceramic with 14 Karat Gold Trim Lamp
I was given this item to sell by someone I know. I'm not 100% sure about it's authenticity. But here's what I was told. This item was made around 1760 by Georg Heinrich Macheleidr, in Germany, before he actually opened his factory as a prototype. It is hand painted with 24 Karat gold trim on the handles and some of the paintwork. Originally this was a candle lamp that was converted to electricity in the early 1900's. The trademark g marking is on the inside on the bottom. Picture is included. As well, the lamp was appraised about 20 years ago for $3,200. No idea what it's current value is on the market, so going with what we know.

Has three 8 x 3 1/2 inch glass panels wrapping around its front, one being the door. Heavy(10 lbs. before packaging) and very well constructed. Has a key which enters through a sliding door to adjust the flame. Very wind proof. Large bronze hanger on back. Has a tamper proof lock on front(no key for this one) Removable font is heavy tin construction with a very heavy brass chimneyless burner. White porcelain reflecting back has some enamel loss and scratches. Paint worn on handles wooden grip. Shows good tin below original paint. Underside has surface rust.
