Antique French Rococo Clock by G Mignon of Paris ~ French- Circa 1870 ~. ~~ Excellent condition. Fully overhauled ~~. A superb and very decorative original antique French clock. It is boldly modelled in the Rococo style. Asymmetric waisted case, decorated profusely with acanthus leaves and'C' scrolls. To the top is a large elaborate urn with'C' scrolls and a shell motif. The clockmaker is the rarely seen Parisian maker G Mignon who is listed in Tardy. Dictionnaire Des Horlogers as working in the Rue Jouye-Rouve in 1870. It is of lovely quality. Heavily made but with a crisp, light design. The dial is enamel on copper with separate minute ring. It is complete with finely fretted gilt brass hands and convex glass fitted to the Rococo bezel. The French movement is of high quality and has the G Mignon mark on the movement backplate ... morealong with that of the retailer. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. This came from a New Jersey estate where I was told it works and includes its pendulum and key which I show in my last photo. It has been hanging in this home as a decoration. Not wound in years and I don't dare fiddle with it as I am not a clock expert. This has beautiful gold solid bronze ornate leaf with berry decoration and measures 25" high X 12" wide. Stunning Louis XVI Cartel Clock by Vincenti ~ French- Circa 1880 ~. ~~ Excellent condition. Fully overhauled ~~. A lovely decorative. Original antique French cartel wall clock. It is in the style of Louis XVI and is beautifully modelled in gilded brass. It is modelled as an acanthus wreath in which the dial is placed with a bow above. The top of the case has a handled urn with a floral finial. A bunch of acanthus leaves hang down from the base of the clock. The dial is a beautiful convex enamel dial with black lettering and separate minute ring and is complete with the original fretted gilt brass hands and convex glass. The French movement is by Vincenti et Cie and has the maker's Medaille D' Argent mark on the movement backplate. It is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by ... moreour clockmaker. Pendulum is original. Very nice condition Antique Japy Freres mantle clock in running condition. Clock movement has been cleaned and oiled and runs well. Movement is stamped with the Japy Freres emblem. But not one of the medallions, had too do some research too find this emblem. Clock strikes with a crisp bell on the half hour and at the top of the hour, counting the amount of hours. Clock was missing suspension spring and pendulum, and strike was not working when i found it. Replaced the suspension spring. Pendulum is a new piece with a small modification too the hook to make it fit. Strike catch spring was off a bit, but adjusted and clock strikes properly. Nice looking ornate spelter image of a lady with a bird cage along a fence. with marble accents. Gilt surface does have some slight tarnish, i have not cleaned the clock too brighten up the finish, i leave ... morethis too new owner. Porcelain dial is in great shape with no chips or cracks. Clock measures 15 7/8th inches tall, 12 1/2 inches wide, 5 3/4inches deep at the base. As with any clock going through the mail, this clock might require some adjustment after shipping. The marble comes in various bright colours and for its age in an very good condition. The patina on the Bronze parts is absolutely breathtaking. This clockset is so beautifully shaped that it is timeless! Just look at the way the Flowers of the sidepieces match to the shapes of the fruit and flowers in front of the clock. Having an 8 days windable. Pendulum driven movement which runs great. The movement is marked with J.R. Paris. With a serial number and is completely original. The pieces at each side of this clock are a perfect match and come in the same style and colour as the clock itself. The way the set is shaped is an artwork on itself! Antique French Design Ingraham Mantel Clock
Real nice Ingraham with French design cleaned up really nice. Ornaments were repainted. Movement was taken apart cleaned and oiled with a new time wheel put in place. The clock sits on the metal hand tooled horseshoe to raise the clock for the swing of the pendulum. The beveled front glass is free from any damage. The back glass has been replaced with a Lucite, why? Not a clue. The ceramic face plate does have some age damage, see picture#5. Antique French Miniature Armoire Music Box Clock
For your consideration is this unique Miniature. What I believe is a Armoire Clock and Music Box. It stands 18" tall 10" wide and 5 1/2" deep. I believe the case is Walnut with Satin wood inlay and hand painted floral decorations. The door has a latch and there are two drawers that pull out as seen in photo 4. The case is in nice condition with no inlay missing and slight paint loss to the floral decorations. The works look to be French with a nice hand painted porcelain dial. The dial is in good condition with only slight paint loss to the gold ring on the face. The works are missing the key. Pendulum and half of the suspension spring. I couldn't find a makers mark. Located in the top of the case is the music box there is no key and I doubt that it works.

Rare 1795-1820 French 24kt Gilt over Bronze Clock on Marble base with gilt bronze fittings original wood bases X2. Gilt is in beautiful shape. I HAVE TAKEN 100s OFF THE PRICE- ALREADY WAY BELOW SOTHEBY'S APPRAISED VALUE of 1.800.00. Some pictures have come out dark but see all pictures for quality of gilt. It needs dusting and cleaning in crevices as seen in photo. I have not attempted to clean it not knowing how to clean genuine gold gilded pieces. Upper base velvet has wear, Glass Dome missing(can be restored many companies out there who make these to order) Once when I was in a better position I easily found dealers who hand make the glass domes at a reasonable cost for these old pieces. This has had NO I repeat NO restoration work done on the workings or any of the piece. The clock has always worked. I have kept it in box on Closet ... moreshelf since I inherited it. I was afraid to display it in the event it would encourage theft at places I lived while in college and after my illness. I remember the beautiful chime sound it has. I have looked for original key and Sothebys letter from 14 years ago appraising this piece and I still cannot find it. I have boxes in an air conditioned room with other items and probably the letter that I must go through. I am a conscientious seller so if I come across these at a later date you can count on me to forward them on to you. I have not been well enough to make a good search for it as there are many boxes to go through. It is exquisite and has the rare feature of two figures of a man and a woman. Finely detailed. The woman sits somewhat loose on the base. I am not sure if she screws on to the base or if there is another method. Again. I am not going to try and effect any repairs myself. I remember as a child sitting and staring at this piece for ages on the fireplace mantel and imagining the figures dancing. The gold gilded velvet wood base needs some restoration although with replacement of a glass dome the velvet wear would not progress and it has a charm all it's own

Outstanding Late 19th to Early 20th Century French Bronze Figural Cartel Wall Striking Clock. In Excellent Condition Outstanding clock from late 19th century(or very early 20th century) French Cartel clocks are highly collectable. The condition of this clock is superb. Its dial has a small expertly done repair(practically invisible. Right around numeral XII) other than this I see no damage of any kind anywhere. Porcelain dial is covered by convex bevel glass. Pendulum and striking bell were removed to take a better picture of the movement, but both are included with the clock. It did take me some careful balancing to get this clock to run, but, once done, it ran perfectly. Striking is working perfectly, too. Pictures speak for themselves, but do let me know if you have any additional questions. The clock measures 22.5" high and 10" ... morewide(all at the largest measurement points) This is a fairly heavy all bronze clock, so shipping is not cheap. Antique French Cartel Wall Clock by Japy Freres ~ French- Circa 1865 ~. ~~ Excellent condition. Fully overhauled ~~. A very large and impressive original antique French gilt brass cartel wall clock. Standing at 27" in height. It is by the famous clockmaker Japy Freres and has the 1855 mark on the movement backplate. It is classical in design. Draped in laurel swags held by rams masks applied to an urn to the top. The sides are fretted and backed with red. This is a stunning, very large clock with a superb gild. The large and superb dial is also gilt brass with 12 individual enamel cartouches and blued steel hands. The bezel is fitted with convex glass. The French movement is of high quality and has the Japy Freres mark on the backplate. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum ... moreis an old replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video clip below to hear the bell and watch the clock running! Condition of the case is excellent. The gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration and there are no losses. Fourteen inches tall. Eight inches across at the middle. Three inches deep. Also at the middle. Absolutely no damage or wear. In new condition. Distressed wrought iron gives it the antique look but the finish is still perfect and it has no cracks. Smooth. No rust. Pendulum can be removed- but with great care. Antique French picture frame wall clock Bertout mother pearl inlay 1880
This French picture frame wall clock is 16 ¾ inches long. 16 ¾ inches wide and 5 inches deep. The clock opens up in the front to wind and set it. The face is hand painted and has porcelain numbers. The ring around the face is brass. Around the brass ring is inlay which is mother of pearl or abalone. The face of the clock is signed Bertout a Coquelles. We have not been able to identify this maker. The clock dates circa 1880. The outside case of the clock has applied gilding. There is some loss to the gilding. The clock is running but we are not sure how long it will run. The key is included.

The clock I was told came from some palace at least that's the tale that was told to my Mom by her close friend rest their souls. Any way the movement is gone and broke back in the 1980's. What you see is what you get 1 Very Old antique clock and one very old antique wooden stand. The dial is all that is left of the movement. I'm sure a movement can be found on Ebay as well I have seen them here just don't have the time to bother to work on it. I am not sure of the manufacturer the Clock dial says AU NEGRE SARAZIN Bt St DENIS 19. On the Guy are the intials RV On the bronze back of clock it says 6PHMOUREY64 also some numbers that look like 6639 or could be 6659. The Clock could use a good cleaning looks kind of dirty. But I'll leave this up to someone ... morewho is qualified to restore such things. I would like it to go to some collector who can restore it and find it a good home. I would think is was made in France a long time ago when things where made by skilled hands. Either way this is a one of a kind piece and is heavy so I will only sell to the lower 48 states in the USA. No Out of country sales to much trouble for me. Antique French Gilt Bronze Boulle Portico Clock c.1870, This is a beautiful antique French Napoleon III ormolu and ebonised. Boulle portico mantel clock. Circa 1840-70 in date,with rarely seen military face,i've never seen another one with military face.not sure if it belong to a military officer The clock is really ornate with fabulous ormolu mounts. Wondefrul Boulle decoration, i t has four ebonised barley twist columns and a large porcelain dial. The eight day clock movement is in good working order and chimes the hour and half hours on a bell. 22 inches high by 10 1/2 inches wide and 5 1/2 inches deep. the dial is 6 inches round.there is no damage to dial with gold military hour numbers a bit faded but still very readable.clock movement may need some adjusting after shipping.please look at all the pictures and ask questions before ... morebidding as all sales are final
