The two Sevres style porcelain panels also feature putti or cherubs with birds. I am not a clock expert so please bear with me. The clock has a pendulum that that is numbered"347" the same as the movement- so I think it's original. The key was made in England so I doubt that is original. I gently wound the clock a little(without the pendulum installed) and it runs. But obviously too fast. It chimes on the hour. I hung the pendulum where I thought it should go and the clock did not run very long. Please email me if you have any specific questions, and I'll do my best to answer them. SIZE: The clock is 12.75 inches tall. And approximately 13.5 inches wide. It weighs 11 pounds 3 ounces. The clock face is just under 3.5 inches diameter. CONDITION: There are some rubs and tarnish to the finish. I haven't tried cleaning the clock. I don't see any repairs or damage. In the photos. You can see what looks like some"separations" in the metal but it is not damage- some pieces were cast separately. Please see the close up pictures for the best description of the cosmetic condition. Antique French repeating carriage clock. The clock strikes the appropriate number of hours on the hour and again on the half hour. And will repeat that number when you depress the small button on top of the clock. The gong sounds deep and clear. The striking and repeating mechanism works well. But the clock is currently not running. Both mainsprings appear to be intact and wind correctly, so I think the problem is with the platform escapement. I don't work on these delicate movements, so I can't pinpoint the problem further. The case is made of brass and thick, beveled glass. There are two small chips in the top corner of two of the glass panels, but they are hardly noticeable. This large antique mantle clock retains its original Gold Gilt surface. At the top is an ancient medieval King on horseback. Measuring across the front, this Victorian mantle Clock is 17” long by 5” deep and the overall height to the top of the King’s crown is 18” There are some problems with this clock. The horse and rider are attached and there is a break to the foliage at the back of the clock. There also is a break to the horse’s right rear leg. I found another break to the tip on the detailed frame around the 4” diameter porcelain face. This clock never had a glass crystal and you can see fine hairlines to the porcelain face. Both springs are in perfect, strong, condition and this clock is ticking without its pendulum. When I went to hang the original pendulum I realized that the two small pins and spring steel piece are missing. I know in the right hands this clock can be brought back to working condition and to make sure some eBayer wins this clock it is listed without any reserve! As always. Antique Marble Mantel Clock w/ French Movement Floral Painted Enamel Face for re
While living in Belgium I purchased this clock and had it restored at a local clock shop close to where we lived at the time. When we moved back to the states. Despite careful packing, the bracket the movement is attached to became loose and it broke the enamel face around the hands. I could not get it to work properly after that move with the damage and all. It is unfortunate but hopefully can be once again restored by someone with the talent. It has a wonderful delicate bell chime that I always found very charming. The only markings that I was able to find we the numbers 2443 52 stamped on the movement directly under the bell and the pendulum which is stamped 2445. The key is included as well. Cosmetic defects are that it looks like is must have had a brass decoration under the face because there are tiny holes and some old adhesive on ... moresome sort. This clock is in good antique condition with some damage and wear that is described below. All of the dore bronzework is beautifully patinated and we guarantee that the metal is bronze. Not spelter or some other base metal. The gilding shows a very small amount pitting and tarnishing consistent with its age. The only damage we note on the bronzework is that we can see that there were originally 5 flowers in the crown. ANTIQUE CLOCK: Art Nouveau. Gilded Bronze, French( early 1900s. New Movement If you set your monitor at FULL SCREEN from TOOLS you will be better able to view the photos. This is a very fine and beautiful Antique Clock in the Art Nouveau style made of gilded bronze and dating from the early years of the last century. There are some words and numbers stamped on the bottom of the back. But they are illegible. This clock has a new movement and keeps perfect time. Very often the cases for these clocks were made in France for export and sale in the States. I cannot be sure if this is the case with this clock. But. Considering its early date, I think it would be more rare if it were American made, since the Art Nouveau Movement was still in its early years even in Europe. The Art Nouveau movement was an international philosophy and style of art. ... moreArchitecture and applied art, especially the decorative arts, that was most popular from 1890 to 1910. It was a reaction to the academic art of the 19th century, inspired by natural forms and structures, not only in flowers and plants but also in curved lines. Our clock has the typical curving lines and foliage- a bouquet of flowers above the dial. And two more flowers near the bottom- often seen in Art Nouveau objects. It also has a charming figure of a beautiful young woman whose right arm and long gown are made to seamlessly blend into the structure of the case. The entire case has been gilded. But some of the gilding has naturally worn away. It may look in the photos as if all of the gilding were still intact. This is a trick of the light and also, possibly part of the original design. Under the gilding is a layer of gold paint, which, except on close inspection, seems to fill in for the worn gilding. You may be able to notice this in some of the detailed photos. There is no damage to the clock. It stands securely and keeps perfect time. The dial and movement are new and work perfectly. Great French Early 19th Century Figural Bronze Clock. Movement by Vincenti in Nice Fully Working Condition Very nice French clock with silk suspension(thus. Dating it to the first half of the 19th century) and beautiful bronze statue on top. The condition of this clock for its age is good and it is in fully running and striking order. Dial was beautifully done with blue numerals and maker's signature, but, unfortunately, has sustained some damage. The damage was very well repaired, but hairlines remain. Pendulum and bell were removed to take a good picture of the movement, but they are included with the clock. Pictures speak for themselves, but do let me know if you have any additional questions. Just acquired out of an estate this week. We are able to offer this exceptionally nice, antique ~ H&H OPEN ESCAPEMENT, FRENCH CARRIAGE CLOCK WITH AN ALARM BELL ~ This little brass clock was found with what we believe to be, the original brass key. It has all of the original beveled glass sections, that are in nice condition. The original porcelain dial is in very good condition as well, with only one very tiny hairline down near the very bottom. I actually had to use a loop to see it, as it is quite hard to detect. It is in running condition, as it has been running the last few days. I would certainly recommend a good cleaning and servicing, as it has been tucked away in the estate for quite some time. We did not attempt to clean or polish the clock, as we left it exactly how it was, when discovered in the estate. It measures 4 1/2 inches ... moretall by 3 1/4 inches wide by 2 3/4 inches deep. Antique French brass carriage/alarm clock C1895 with keys. Restored/serviced.
A SMALLER THAN USUAL BOW-FRONTED ANTIQUE FRENCH CARRIAGE/ALARM CLOCK* Circa 1895. GOOD CONDITION*Shown in the gallery picture alongside a standard size carriage clock for size comparison purposes only. The clock for auction is the smaller of the two on the right. Small size: Height with handle folded down. 4.25 inches(11 cms) Width, 2.5 inches(6.5 cms) Depth, 2.25 inches(5.5 cms) My hobby for the last 30 years has been the restoration of vintage clocks. I have had hours of pleasure working on this pretty bow-fronted alarm clock in my workshop. I finished it earlier this month(February 2013) It is now in perfect working order. But. When I acquired it, it was in pitiful condition. The case was filthy dirty and the dial had been very crudely restored in the past. The movement however was working well. CASE: I completely dismantled the solid ... morebrass case to clean and re-polished it. I have not lacquered it; instead I have given it a coat of special wax polish to delay the tarnishing process(this will also make it easier to give the case a light clean in future) It now has a lustrous antique patina. It sits on 4 pretty turned-brass feet and has an attractive bow front. The top and base are of cast brass and the rear door opens and closes with precision- both signs of good quality. All case parts are stamped with the matching number(273) Showing it to be entirely original. MOVEMENT: The solid brass and steel movement is well made and in good condition. I did not take it apart but I checked all parts for wear before cleaning and oiling it and the original jewelled cylinder escapement. All the finishing screwheads have been blued. Both the clock and the alarm(the small silver bell is in the base) Are working perfectly. The clock keeps good time. DIAL: The white enamel-on-copper dial was in a poor state when I acquired the clock but as it is original to the clock. I wanted to retain it. So I minimised some cracks at the very top and restored the badly damaged white enamel in the corners and around the numb

Antique French Porcelain Gilt Metal Mantel Clock Set 3 Piece ala Sevres PINK
This nice quality late 1800s clock set was inspired by rococo designs inset with Sevres plaques. The clock measures 13 ¼” x 8 ½” x 5 ½” overall with each of the garnitures 11” x 4 ½” x 4 ½” and is made of gilt bronze plated cast white metal or spelter with wonderfully fluid Louis XVI inspired designs. You will note wear and verdigris on the finish of the metal. But no losses. There are smears of very old gold paint and some old paint spatters as well. The top openwork c-scroll appears to have been re-attached. Its hand painted and transfer porcelain is a very attractive pink with raised genuine gold accents and none of the work is chipped or cracked. There is some minor expected wear to the gilt and the set is pretty dirty. The works are intact and marked AD MOUGIN with star as shown. Antique HENRY MARC FRENCH Ormolu SEVRES Porcelain PUTTI CLOCK Cherub Brass Gilt Offered for sale is this beautiful antique French gilt metal clock. It was made by Henry Marc of Paris. The putti are taking birds from the nest at their feet. The open cage sits next to them. The two Sevres style porcelain panels also feature putti or cherubs with birds. I am not a clock expert so please bear with me. The clock has a pendulum that that is numbered"347" the same as the movement- so I think it's original. The key was made in England so I doubt that is original. I gently wound the clock a little(without the pendulum installed) and it runs. But obviously too fast. It chimes on the hour. SIZE: The clock is 12.75 inches tall. And approximately 13.5 inches wide. It weighs 11 pounds 3 ounces. The clock face is just under 3.5 inches diameter. This is a good old original solid brass French clock pendulum with a claw type end of rod. It has the"216T7" stamped on the solid brass bob. It measures 5 3/8" long. 1 3/8" across the bob, and is adjustable. It weighs a bit over 70 grams and is in excellent condition. Antique French mantel clock movement, silk thread, as is, no reserve
For sale a French silk thread suspension mantel clock movement. Condition is needs a good cleaning and one of the pins on the strike arbor is broken. It is the pin that actuates the hammer striking but all the pins on the strike wheel gear are present. Surprisingly the clock ticks and runs. Also missing is the front bezel though maybe you could use the rear bezel and no glass on the rear bezel. Measurements are as follows: front bezel would fit in a 4 1/4" wide opening and rear bezel would fit in a 4 1/4" frame. From front to back measures 4 1/8" long. Mostly good for parts. No reserve and buyer to pay shipping.

There are chips on some of the side panel glass with prism sides, front ceramic has some damage for face. I do not know anything about repairing clocks-it might be an easy fix, but sold as not working. If you look carefully at the pictures you can see the pictures in front the brass is polished. Glass clean-had the day off work and playing with my trinkets. the later pictures were taken first where unpolished/dirty. glass on front needs to be resent in grove-not taking apart again. The quality of makers is evident when you start to clean and take apart.

This is a French clock that has come from the same estate of a collector that we have been selling for the last 6 weeks or so. Check our other listings for more items from this same estate and keep watching as we will list more items from this estate in the coming weeks. This clock is fairly complete from what I can tell however I am no expert so have provided many pictures so you experts can see exactly what you're getting. This French clock is made from several different types of metal. The back is tin. The fancy Roccoco base is brass or bronze as well as the figure with the part that the figure ... morerests on being spelter. The entire clock has been painted with gold paint, not original but done long ago. The brass or bronze sculpture depicts a cherub with a horn in it's left hand. This hand has been broken off and then glued back on, see pictures. His right hand used to be holding something as well but as usual it is missing. This piece has a porcelain dial that does have a couple of hairlines as shown. Besides the previously mentioned defects, the flaws are as follows: The tin back has a bow in it, there is a hand missing, the clock does not run, and the inset panels in the front of the base used to be marble or alabaster but have long ago been replaced by tin. All in all this is a great quality clock that would be well worthy of restoration. It is rather large measuring 15 7/8" wide X 5" X 16" tall. Antique Working French Alabaster Portico Clock
This is a nice. Working antique French Portico clock with the case made out of alabaster. It strikes the hour and once on the half hour on a bell. The movement, which is stamped"Roblin A Paris" is in very good shape; both time and strike run over two weeks on a winding! It includes gilded bezel and capitals; the dial has a moire pattern and I believe was silvered, though it has darkened. The pendulum is brass. Please inspect the pictures closely. As alabaster is a bit softer than marble, there is some wear on the case. Approximate dimensions are 17.75" high, 9.125" wide and 5.125" deep. Includes winding key.
