Rare Antique French Bulle Brevete Mantel Clock seated on wooden base. This clock appears to be a great restoration or parts candidate. The face dial is missing quite a bit of the original finish. I believe these clocks operate on an early D volt battery system, the mechanics look to be in great order although some pieces may be missing, there is no glass dome with this clock. The dial is marked"Bulle" the base has the small metal plate marked Bulle. The clock stands 14" tall, the face dial measures 5 1/4" in diameter and the wooden base is 8 1/2" in diameter. Antique French Carriage Clock Runs Bell Strike Bailey Banks& Biddle 11 Jewels Here is a great brass carriage clock for your buying consideration. Recently picked this clock up at an auction. Required no servicing. Has been running since I first wound it. The clock appears to have a porcelain or metal enamel dial. The dial does have any cracks on it. The face of the clock has Bailey Banks& Biddle below the number"12" of the face. The face of the clock has black markings for the minutes. The hands on this clock are just beautiful and do match. Below the numbers on the clock face it says. France" Beautiful brass case on this clock that has some patina from age. The rear door of the case has both hinge pins on it as well as the know. The inside of the door has the number"11" impressed on it. Did nothing to clean ... morethe case but wipe it down. All five pieces of the glass. Including the top piece, are beveled. All the pieces of glass are in good condition, no cracks or blistering Nice brass movement on this clock. The back of the movement has no maker name on it. It does note"11 jewels" on it. The spring of the movement feels sound when keyed. There are two newer key that come with this clock. One to wind it and one to change the time. The clock stands 5.25" tall(6.5" with handle up) By 3-5/8" across, by 3-1/8" wide. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures. As can be expected when dealing with an antique clock. Some adjustments may be needed after shipping to get the clock re-running correctly again as they can be very delicate. Circa 1870-1880. It appears to be silvered bronze. The clock body is 29 1/2" tall by 14" wide. It has a 5 1/2" dial. The movement has been overhauled and it runs well. Large 6" Antique Silk Thread Suspension French Clock MOVEMENT ONLY Parts Repair
A large antique French clock movement for restoration; being sold for"PARTS/ REPAIR" This movement is spring driven(the existing mainsprings are currently good) and because of its age was designed to use a silk thread suspension(NO silk included) which have read dates the movement to circa 1850's or prior. This quality movement wants to run and'ticks' in certain positions on its own; I let it tick for 10 minutes straight last night before I stopped it. There is NO pendulum and the'loop' at the bottom of the crutch that is designed to capture the pendulum rod is broken off/ missing. I have not cleaned this clock movement; it is in the same condition I received it in from an clock repairman's estate. The cast brass bezel is broken/ missing with only a small remnant left at the hinge; the hinge portion on the dial surround is in good condition; it does not appear to be bent or damaged. Antique French 19th Century 8 Day Time and Strike Wall Clock Weather Station
Very large 41" tall by 14.5" wide. Walnut case clock with gallery crest rail and finials. Wood face clock with applied Roman numerals in black onto white enamel porcelain metal cartuches. This wall clock also has a French mercury thermometer along with a lower aneroid barometer dial. The clock has an 8 day wind up French square movement along with a brass pendulum. It is in very good condition for it's age. The clock does run and chime; however. The clock works need to be cleaned and oil to insure continued good working order. I can remove movement and clean prior to shipment, but winning bidder must contact me for additional charges to accomplish this additional servicing. This antique French Wall Clock was made in the early 19th century. And case is combined with a barometer and thermometer. However, it has been in storage for several years and I recommend a cleaning and service just to be thorough. Barometer will need to be calibrated for your area so it will be accurate and the thermometer may not be functioning although it is intact with no broken parts. Comes with an old key. But I do not know if it is original to the clock. The clock is sold in AS IS condition and I have done my best to describe its condition but feel free to ask questions. Fantastic 19th Century Antique French Empire Onyx& Gilt Bronze Clock Case Fresh out of a local estate and up for bids is this fantastic white onyx clock case with gilt bronze applied decorations. This piece dates to sometime around the mid 19th Century. The case measures approx 10.5" tall(not including the finial) and is 9" wide at the base. It weighs a hefty 16 lbs. The gilt bronze work is superb featuring full three dimensional serpentine stylized birds of prey. Some work has been done to the clock. The original movement was removed and replaced with a modern day battery operated quartz movement. The hands have also been replaced. The case is in overall very good condition with no chips or cracks but the top adornment has separated and needs to be reattached. What might appear to be a crack in the case is simply the natural ... morevariegation of the color of the stone. There are four holes at each corner of the top where there was some type of bronze decoration at one time. The rear door glass is cracked. An antique mantel clock with a ceramic case in the Delft style and an 8 day two train time and gong strike brass movement currently in good working order. Presumed circa 1880's. The white ceramic case with blue hand painting was manufactured in Germany with the inside lower rear of the case bearing the blue ink marking of Royal Bonn(German) with some additional numbers. Presumed"r268, 3, 83" Embossed in the white porcelain is the number"1130" A lower case"ch" and a circular marking presumed to read"FRANZ ANT(ON) MEHLEM. BONN/ RHEIN" The lovely curves of the sides of the sculptured case depict a scene of three sailing ships on one side and a windmill on the other. Below the dial is a cartouche with a beautiful scene of three sailing vessels. The rest of the case has beautiful floral/ foliage images ... morethroughout with an intricate'shingle' pattern on the top. The 8 day brass movement was manufactured in France and is stamped on the rear plate with"S. Marti et Cie. MEDAILLE DE BRONZE" The clock is currently running and the striking properly; although I am selling this clock"AS IS" With no implied guarantee or warranty. There is a soft gong strike at the half hour and hour. The pendulum is serialized with the same number as the movement and has a slow/ fast adjustment wheel in the center of the bob. The white porcelain dial has blue(thicker lines) and black(thinner lines) Roman numerals and black minute markers. The dial is in good condition. Although there are several small scratches through the top glaze located above the right winding arbor and there are some"mosquito bite" chips around the winding arbors. The steel hands have much of the bluing worn through and have a light corrosion. The front brass bezel on the front closes snugly; I found it best to lift upward on the bezel to ensure proper alignment prior to closing. It is quite unique that an original box would still be in such good shape. Given the age. It has an rectangle beveled glass view window on the top under a small swing handle, and the other 4 sides are flaned with the same great beveled glass. The white face has a few hairlines through it, but they do not seem to hinder performance. This piece is in working order as it stands, however it will need a good once over when you receive it, as with any antique clock that is shipped any distance. The piece is signed only France on the face. A well made clock in a small package with its original box. It measures approx. 5" tall and 3 1/4" wide by only 2 1/2" deep. Here is a mid 19th century French porcelain mantle clock with a Chantilly bisque porcelain figure top which is possible made by Jean Gille. The porcelain clock base is all hand painted and has three colourful urns and blue and gilt scrolls painted to the body around the clock face. BEAUTIFUL HANDPAINTED JAPY FRERES ANTIQUE FRENCH CARTEL CLOCK(ca. 1890) BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE HAND PAINTED JAPY FRERES FRENCH CARTEL CLOCK(ca. 1890) You are bidding on a very nice hand painted French cartel clock made around 1890. I picked this clock up at a garage sale about a year ago and forgot that I had it. The clock is time only and measures(not counting the chain) 12" tall. 8 1/2" wide, and about 3" deep. The metal case is beautifully handpainted(probably oil paint) and has gilted bronze decorations on top and bottom. There is also a bronze chain that you can hang the clock by or it can be hung by a bracket on the back. The bracket works better as the chain makes the clock hang a little off center. When I bought the clock, I was told that it didn't work and that it had been sitting in the basement for over 50 years. ... moreThe minute hand and the hand nut were missing. I replaced the minute hand with a close copy and the hand nut came from a watch. It is a little loose but it works. The movement has been ultrasonically cleaned, hand polished, and lubricated. One bushing was installed. The movement has the insignia of Japy Freres stamped above the spring barrel. The insignia is also located on the front of the clock just below the hand stem. This clock is finicky as it will stop every once in awhile. I can usually get it to run for about 8 days but when it hangs on the wall, it has to be perfectly in beat. The pendulum is different as you have to rotate the pendulum bob one way or the other to adjust the speed. Overall, a very beautiful clock. Good luck and happy bidding. This is an Early 19th Century Portico Clock. Ornate Decor. With Hour& half hour bell strike movement and a Brass dial. This wonderful old clock runs great but does need to be level to do so. It is a well used clock it is not perfect the are a few areas of finish loss one column looks to have a repair the fit is not as tight, and there are a few slits in the wood. It has a spectacular pendulum very fancy with a great look. The dial is brass some fading but very ornate with a sunning bezel it also has wonder brass column connectors and trim. The figure that stand atop is sublime. She has looks. Attitude and lots and lots of movement. The piece is entitled"Nymphe De L'onde" which I believe means Nymph of the wave. I'm sure there is a deeper meaning, there usually is, but without delving deeper, it will remain a beautiful, mysterious enigma. The base of the statue also has a signature of"Auguste Moreau"1834-1917) who is easily found on the internet and its famous for his bronzes. This, however, is cold painted spelter, with a wonderful, original, aged verdigris finish. Back to the clock.a top quality French movement made by Japy Freres& Cie 1878. It carries their cast mark. Or to be more specific, for the Art Nouveau period and style that this work of art was made in. It has been fully checked and oiled by a professional clockmaker, and works perfectly. The figurine was signed by the famous Aug. Moreau. One of the most famous craftsman of the 19 th century. The marble and the movement are antique. The clockset has some marks of usage. What we see is a beautiful Louis XVI style base on the lower part of this work. Forming a strong yet incredibly sophisticated foundation for the rest. In its midst we find the beautiful movement and dial itself. On top of that we find a pedestal, on which a beautifully crafted figurine was situated. She was beautifully ... moredressed, and seemingly pre-occupied with what she was doing. The level of detail in which the woman was created shows how talented this maker was. The clothing seems to be made out of silk and is seemingly floating through the air. Surrounding the movement we also find beautifully decorated ornaments, with all sorts of items and flowery patterns. These beautiful item would look beautiful in any interior. It has the original French movement made by Japy Freres& cie from around 1850-1860. That chimes every half and full hour. The dial was made from enamel and has the normal numerals. It is complete, with the winding key, bell, pendulum etc. It works the way it should. The movement has a stamp that says Japy Freres& Cie grd.
