This is a gorgeous original antique art nouveau/ art deco table lamp from the 1920's. It is made of silver metal with beautiful designs in the metal. It has 3 lower light fixtures and one main light. The main light has its original milk glass shade. The lower fixtures just use regular light bulbs and do not have shades. I don't think they would have originally had shades either. The lamp was made this way. It measures 3 feet tall so it can be used as a tall table lamp or a shorter floor lamp. It also measures 11 1/2 inches in diameter at the base. The milk glass shade measures 9 3/4 inches in diameter. The lamp is in very good working condition and the shade is in great condition as well. It has a wooden pole with a metal base a magnet doesn't stick to it so I'm not sure what type of metal it is but it does have some rust underneath it maybe cast Iron? It has writing stamped on the underneath side of the base see the picture#9 it says Sandel Mfg. Co S15 Patt Appld For/ letters KKK Co then PDY. There is some paint missing on the pole and I have a picture showing some which is picture#10. And has a few more small spots. It has a beautiful shade that is I believe is slag glass it has ripples on the back side or maybe river glass? I was told this when I bought it years back and I'm not sure. Gorgeous elaborately hand pierced solid brass floor lamp. The shade and base are signed"Made in Syria" Approximate age of the lamp is 1910- 1920. The lamp in all its glory stands 71" tall. The base is 65" tall with an 18" diameter base. The shade is 22" tall and 17" across at widest point with a halfmoon and star finial. The shade has two pull chains and the base has a unique pullup pushdown on-off switch which turns three lights on in the base. The entire lamp has its original mika lining. The lamp base is 9+3/4 inches square. Because most of the weight is at the bottom the lamp has a low center of gravity resulting in very nice balance. Recommended placement of the lamp is on a hard surface floor or possibly on a very low-pile rug over a hard surface floor. The lamp like many(usually most) similar bridge lamps will not set well on carpeting with padding. Bridge lamps placed on carpeting have a tendency to lean slightly. Since the lamp is heavy it might work on carpeting but it is my personal recommendation not to use the lamp placed on carpeting. Antique INDUSTRIAL ADJUSTABLE FLOOR POLE LAMP Gooseneck Burdick Zoalite
This is a truly versatile vintage industrial floor/ pole lamp. Any remaining old paint has been removed. The iron base and steel riser. Gooseneck and clamps were wire brushed and clear coated. The wood handle lightly sanded and clear coated. The aluminum shade was cleaned and buffed to a shine. The socket housing was wire brushed to remove the remaining flaked chrome and the underlying brass polished. The result is a polished, more refined version of its original self. The ball clamp and gooseneck make it possible to direct the light anywhere. Simply loosening the clamp allows you to use it as a hand held trouble light.
