Antique embossed copper English fireplace ash coal wood box. Great detail and a one of a kind find at an old home estate sale in Arkansas. The embossed figures are spectacular on all sides and in very, very good condition. As found original patina, whole box is wood covered with copper, 18 1/2" high x 14" fornt with a 22" back. A couple of small holes in teh top lid approx. 1/8" 1/4" in size. In good vintage condition, Contact with questions if purchased so to ensure that I retain my 5* rating. This is a rare find. Authentic copper seal. It's rectangle in shape and has a hand carved tiger or Foo Dog on top. I bought this years ago at an estate auction in Vermont. The owner passed away. He had an extensive collection of fine antiques. I would love to keep this but unfortunately I need the money. It measures 1 and 10/16th in long x 1 1/8th in wide and 1 and 5/8th" tall. It's quite heavy. About 8oz. I don't have a good scale to weigh it. It has a very thick patina. I wish I could tell you more history. From what I read about the seals the rectangle ones were from the Song Dynasty and were used by Artists or Studios. A Chinese gentleman that my husband works with looked at it and he said we were very lucky to have it and that most of the seals we see on the internet are reproductions and new but this was not. Museum Quality Antique, Hand-Made SOLID Copper BOWL from TURKEY
Over the years. I've managed to collect quite a few antique treasures. This antique Turkish copper bowl is surrounded in hand-scrolled work with borders of tiny rain dots at the bottom and exquisite scrolling at the top. The large scrolls are measures 6 and 5/16th inches wide at the mouth, 3 and 5/8 inches across at the base, and sits just shy of 3 inches tall. The patina is old but still shows the brilliance of copper that shines through. It's nearly 1 and 1/4 pounds of solid copper with a thin layer of lead on the outside bottom. The small"X" you see scratched on the bottom was done by customs to insure the bottom did not contain drugs. Excellent, excellent, excellent. Have been on eBay for 15 years selling interesting jewelry. Beads, small collectibles, all antique, vintage or gently pre-owned, unless the description ... moresays it's new. We support recycling. A very rare early American patented invention for steaming vegetables and other uses measuring approximately 5 inches tall with a base of 3 3/4 inches. It is made of copper and steel. With possibly aluminum although the latter was more expensive than gold at that time. Based on my research this is one of the earliest know patented inventions which has been on the market. A prototype was necessary to obtain the US patent and would not be an exact replica of the final product. The patent tag is original and period and measures approximately 3 1/4 x 3 inches. Domestic boiler" is written in pencil on the lower left bottom. The tag has"2-225. at the top. The current patent numbering system began with a patent issued on July 13. 1836. Prior to that date, 9,957 patents had been issued. Through 1855, there were approximately 23,965 issued ... moreby the US patent office. This invention, number 14,222, was the 24,178 patent issued in the history of the United States. Patents were number starting in 1836 and the first patent number for 1856 was 14,009 and the first patent number for 1857 was 16,323. This is a great Weather Vane which I acquired on Charles Street in Boston. At the foot of Beacon Hill. These Grasshopper Weather Vanes are popular in Massachusetts because of the famous one atop Fanueil Hall. The main difference between this one and the one on Fanueil Hall is that this one does not have the spike going through his body. Which looks a little more comfortable to me. But this one does have the green glass eyes. The gilded grasshopper on Fanueil hall was created by Deacon Shem Drowne in 1742. Gilded with gold leaf. The copper weather vane weighs eighty pounds and is four feet long] The weather vane is believed to be modeled after the grasshopper weather vane on ... morethe London Royal Exchange. Antique Copper Horse Weathervane WOW Wonderful Piece
Estate find. You are bidding on an older copper horse weathervane. The horse is in very good condition for its age and shows wonderful patina. I have tried to show all areas of the item so you can make a determination if this wonderful piece is for you. As you can tell. The item has had what I am assuming is spot welding done but just adds to the items character.they dont make them like this anymore. The horse top piece measures 30 inches long and the rod measures 41 inches. The directional spins although it does show some rusting. If you have any questions.
