1850s Antique Staffordshire England Copper Luster Classical 3" Creamer Pitcher
Here is a lovely little antique creamer glazed in copper luster and made in the Staffordshire area of England from the 1840s to the 1860s. Copper luster was popular during the period because it reflected the gas lights that brightened each home in the evening hours. This creamer is an early piece with no manufacturer's mark and is made from ironstone dipped in copper luster. The individual creamer measures 3 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter from the spout to the handle. The creamer is decorated in a classical design. Perhaps made by Wedgwood. There is a sheep and cherub in the applied decoration. The creamer has Wedgwood blue colored striping and a pink glaze stripe at the top of the creamer. This is an absolutely magnificent very very large antique Persian silver plate on copper tray measuring 31 inches by 23 inches and very very heavy. I purchased this tray from a neighbor many many years ago. Who purchased it second hand while they were still living in Tehran and brought it with them to America. I was told when I purchased it that it was very old, the tray was all hand done and it was originally used with a folding base when entertaining and when not in use was hung on a wall as decoration which was/ is the style in the Middle East. The workmanship is very detailed and beautiful.There is silver loss and copper showing through and scratches etc but it in no way diminishes the beauty of this tray. GRAVY BOAT ANTIQUE SILVER PLATE ON COPPER, UNKNOWN MARKS, LION PAW FEET
This is an antique gravy boat silver plated on copper and quite heavy. About ten ounces. It is 6 3/4 inches long, 4 1/4 inches across and 4 1/4 inches high with three lion toed legs and a curlicue tail of a handle, its capacity to overflowing is one cup. It is well worn with some small pits in the bowl but it feels wonderfully smooth to the touch. There is a curious mark on the bottom, kind of a bottle like bulbous form with a cap alongside a plus sign. It's a handsome little piece. Questions and expertise are welcome and thank for looking!

Antique Russian Samovar- Brass on Copper- Dated 1898 This Antique Samovar comes from an estate. I am not an expert on this type of item. There are several Russian hallmarks on the top of the piece an it is dated 1898. I am not sure what they mean or what it says. Please check the pictures. The Antique Samovar is tarnished and the brass plating is lightly pitted. It needs a good polishing. Both of the top wood knobs have issues. The one that is still attached is missing a chunk of wood from the handle. The other that is detached is missing a brass spacer. The wood handle on the right is cracked and not attached properly. The handle is wood with a brass ferrule. The blade is forged from copper. The waves of the blade done as well as a steel blade from the period. I have been told that these copper blades were made for talismanic purposes. Used to ward off the spirits that a steel blade couldn't touch. This example measures 8 1/2" in total length. Beautiful antique horse figurine. Made of carved wood, hammered brass and copper and bovine bone inlays. Very precise work. No marks. As you can see in the pictures. The front right shoe is hammered in to give the horse a realistic posture. Note the exact position of the eyes and the use of full intact parts of bone, that indicate that it's an authentic piece. in later and cheaper works the bone peaces are fragmented and each bone inlay is made of 2 or more pieces) Excellent condition! Antique Art Deco Hanging Brass & Copper Ribbed Glass Hallway Porch Ceiling Light
Thia is a well made and ornate Antique Art Deco hanging ceiling fixture that would look beautiful either in a hall. Foyer or porch. From the late 1930's or 1940s it is crafted I think, of brass, copper and bronze. I'm not up on my metallurgy but none of it is magnetic. There are no cracks in the beautiful thick curved ribbed glass panels and they are held in by clips behind the stylized floral and ribbed cast frame. The top is hinged to allow access to the bulb and held in place by a dainty clasp.The body of the light is 12" in length, top cover is 6 1/2" in diameter and the cast body is about 5 1/4" in diameter at the to tapering to 3 1/2 at the bottom. It will drop about 19" rom the ceiling surface. Antique Quick Meal Wood Coal Cook Stove with Copper Water Tank Fellow eBayers, Offered for bid is an antique wood/coal burning stove manufactured by the Quick Meal Stove Co. Div of the American Stove co. This stove is model#9035-34 serial#3367. History; The exact age of the stove is unknown. This stove was already in my grandmothers house when they moved here in 1938. Sometime within the next 10 years it was replaced by a wood/coal/gas cook stove. It was moved to the"woodshed" attached to the house and has been there since. At least 60 years. Condition; The photos tell the condition well. Once the first 50 years of grim came off I was surprised to find it in fair condition. There is a fair amount of surface rust but also a lot more enamel than expected. The only area rusted though was in the fire box. All the pieces appear present ... moreincluding the lid handle and grate shaker. The grates are stuck and will need to be unfrozen. I didn't try hard to get them to move. There was a cast piece in the firebox resting on the grates that did not seem like it belonged there but its going with stove anyway. One of the big surprises was to find the copper water heater tank in good condition. It held water for 2 days without a leak. The stove looks to be usable as is but should be an excellent candidate for restoration. Shipping will be best way. Total est weight 400# or more. Local pickup is also welcome. Here is a rare lot of 56 copper/wood antique printing block plates from the Heald machine company from Worcester. Mass. They are all of actual Metal machinary they used in this factory. You can google this company for more info. I know i could get more money for these if i were to sell the separatly of put them in smaller lots but i do not have time to do so. Sizes vary, 90% of them are copper plates. Most of them are stamped with#s and or have the factory name on the side of the wood blocks. Some are used, some look unused. Vintage copper tub- not certain if it was a molasses. Apple butter, wash, laundry or child's bath tub, guess it could have also been used in a run of moonshine. The copper tub has a reinforced brass band with brass handles. Exterior is in very good condition, photos, 7 and 8 show the bottom of the tub. Very unique piece with great patina both inside and outside. This piece is in gently used condition with some minor dings which adds to the character of the piece. The tub measures 26 inches and an additional 2 inches for handle tor a total of 28 inches in length; 21 1/2 inches across the bottom; 13 1/2 inches deep. Antique Prouty's Rigid Door Knob Thick Solid Commercial Grade Extremely Rare Marked on inside: Prouty's Rigid Door Knob Patented Dec 23. 1879, Feb 3, 1880, Oct 24, 1882 Does have some scratches. And some pitting. Very thick brass or copper, would seem to be commercial. It appears to be copper, but might be copper plated brass. I am unsure, and will not cut through it to find out. Some scratches on button and some pitting. Does not include key. This is a complete door knob with mortise. This door knob is 100% functional. And in great shape. A perfect addition to any collection. You will not find many of these if any. Copper knobs with copper button mechanism. Knob was taken apart to show details then put back together. Antique Victorian Art Nouveau Silverplated Copper Pin Dish Calling Card Tray
This is an unusual art nouveau pin dish. Calling card tray or pen/pencil holder. It is heavily and meticulously etched/embossed with a design of 2 frogs fighting with cattails on the face of the tray and a single frog sitting on a lily pad on the underside of the tray. He looks as if he is croaking away while holding a long stemmed 3D lily flower in his hand. The edge of the tray has partial leaves for effect and a couple of lily flowers. It measures 11" long x 3" wide x 1/2" tall. Any hallmark on the silverplate would be long gone as most of the silver has worn off. Therefore, I do not know the maker's name. Persian Antique Qajar Islamic Chased Copper Tinned Bowl Cartouches Stamped Mark I just purchased this antique Persian tinned copper bowl from a local estate here in Central Virginia. I believe this piece dates to the early Qajar dynasty but please review the pics and ask any questions to fully evaluate. This is an area I have limited expertise. The piece is well executed with nice weight to the hand hammered single piece of copper which makes up the bowl, the foot is applied. The surface is decorated with tightly arranged cartouches each showing a different animal grouping. The borders are also hand chased and engraved with bands of stylized florals. The copper has a rich patina with traces of the original tinning relatively uniform over the surface. The bowl measures 8 ½" in diameter and 4 1/8" deep.
