This a RARE-possibly ONE OF A KIND tin or zinc-washed Solid Copper plate dating back to the early 19th C.1800's! This plate measures over 11"28cm. I have spent hours researching these symbols and the country of origin. I have determined(to the best of my ability) that it is of OTTOMAN origin and have found 3 that are similar! I have 2 of these treasures for sale. This auction is for the SMALLER PLATE in the picture. The other is much larger than all of the similar plates listed on eBay. It measures 36cm/14"you can see it listed in my other auctions. I will be happy to make a deal for both plates-MAKE ME AN OFFER: All of the plates that I have seen contain 2 common symbols. Brass and glass desk inkwell, pen holder. it is made from very thick brass and copper and has 4 windows with great brass cross hatched finishing pieces. each have a circular piece of glass underneath. Really nice feature. the top window removes and exposes the brass ink cup. in the back is a wonderful pen holder which swivels at a ball joint mount. there are two knobs in the front as well that is a letter opener holder. the piece has a wonderful patina from age and measures 4 by 3 1/2 inches. in good shape. the pen is not included. Here are a couple of antique copper halftone letterpress printer's cuts featuring a COWBOY HOLSTER AND GUNS and a VEST. These date anywhere from the late 1890's through the 1920's and I am unsure as to their provenance. They could have been used in the making of a catalog or in the making of a newspaper ad for western gear. The guns look like they may be Scholfield revolvers but it is hard to tell. I am selling these as display pieces because I really can't say if they would print well. I've never printed a halftone successfully on any of my old presses! They are both in good condition although halftones from photographs are sometimes a little hard to see. Up for auction here is a stunning. Authentic arts and crafts period hammered copper and mica table lamp. This lamp was recently appraised by a leading US auctioneer as being: PERIOD ARTS AND CRAFTS BUT A BIT LATER. it is NOT a recent reproduction! The lamp appears to be unsigned. But clearly has some considerable age about it. It is nevertheless in very good condition: the mica panels have recently been cleaned and are all in very good condition, with no holes or big cracks, and produce a beautiful warm light when the lamp is lit; the hammered copper body has a the odd very small surface dent, but is otherwise very good, with a great patina; the handle is strong and undamaged. With the shade, the lamp stands approx 18" tall, while the shade measures approx 14" across. Antique Hammered Copper Carved Wood Bracket Tudor Gothic Revival Lavabo Basin
This early 20th century gothic revival lavabo features deeply carved wall hung bracket support with hand hammered and chased copper cistern. Basin and soap dish. It measures 26” tall x 13 ½” wide x 25” deep overall with turret form reservoir 14” tall with a 9 ¾” base diameter. All of the metal pieces are hand hammered with decoratively chased grounds and sophisticated chase designs. The face of the cistern features a heraldic shield with castle crest, rampant lions, and the motto“Zazplak Rat” and mounted with cast brass handles. The mixed wood bracket has a warm dark wax finish with oak towel bar and shelf. There is notable verdigris in the basin and minor dents and scratches on the pleasingly polished surface. I love this pan. A great. Solid copper pan with a wooden handle. This clearly has age, and I've estimated it to be an antique rather than just vintage. The pan is heavy. The handle is rivoted to the pan. That extends to a worn wooden handle and a copper hanging triangle. The piece is unsigned. Condition: I have not polished the copper. As I think takes away just too much personality that many people like. I can see some discolorations but not very much in terms of scratches. The bottom is not the original but has been covered in clay. I would say by the looks of the repair that it was broken when it wasn't very old. Fully marked on the back with the Late R. Alcock Burslem England mark. There are no chips. Nicks or hairline cracks on this platter, and the copper paint is perfect with No Wear. There is light staining from age, but this is always the case with White Ironstone that is this old. Gives the piece character and authenticity. Here is an inexpensive gift idea. Very old monogram stencil“ HC" or" CH" H" +" C" Art Nouveau- Art Deco Made of copper. It is from Europe 1900. Never used. Condition is excellent. Not polished. There are spots on the copper. Size measure: 4 1/4" by 5 1/4" outside edge of stencil. Young European women and housewives received pillowcases. Shams, sheets, tableclothes, napkins, nightdresses, linens and other laundries from their family and kinship. The monogam stencil was placed in position atop the fabric to be embroidered and a blue powdered ink was brushed or dabbed over the monogram to mark the fabric.
