CHILD'S This beautiful copper and brass has been shined up and ready for display Based on information in the history(below) this fire extinquisher was created between 1901 and 1910. Please use the pictures as part of the description; below I've attached a detailed description; as many of the CHILDS Inventions and manufactured items are used around the US. Justus Childs was born in Woodstock. Connecticut on September 21, 1809 to Dolphus and Chloe Jackson Child, and came to Paris, Oneida County, New York in 1831. He resided east of Cassville on the stone road, and was an extensive farmer— his farm being one of the"model farms" in town. He was a direct sixth generation ancestor of Benjamin Child. Who came to America from England about 1630 and died in Roxbury, Mass. in 1678. A valuable ... morefamily genealogy, published in 1881 by Reverend Elias Child, of Utica, New York gives the unbroken lineage of his descendants, many of whom were prominent in civil, commercial and military life. In this sale we have an old Copper antique fire extinguisher that is in great condition. It is the indian pump style but not sure if it is called an indian pump extinguisher or not. It has been on display for many years at my home. Now that I am moving to a smaller home. It is being sold. I believe this kind of fire extinguisher was used in the early 1900's. It is approximately 9 1/2" in diameter and 20" tall without the handles or hoses. The condition is good but could use some cleaning and there are probably a few dings and scratches here and there. There are some minor dents and scratches with a small pin hole on the back. Please see pictures. The bottom handle is rusted but strong. The extinguisher includes(but not shown) the insert tube which is dented and has surface corrosion. Not sure if hose is original but is definitley old. Early/Mid 1800's Asian Enamel on Copper bowl, rare/unusual antique
Up for bid is a very rare and unusual antique bowl with lid. I think this is Chinese but I can't verify because the writing is too smeared to tell. This bowl is a copper base with enameling on the bowl. It is a very rare form of craftsmanship and you don't see this type of workmanship often. I believe this if from the early to mid 1800's. As seen in the pictures. It has some chipping but due to its age this is still in good condition overall. I normally only collect cloisonne but this was a rarer find so I picked this up about 20 years ago. Please email me with questions.

Pair of antique solje pins gilt copper / brass enamel, Norway, Scandinavia
Very nice pair of antique solje pins. The small cobalt blue one in a"folksy" style. And the gilt brass/ copper one in an elegant elaborate style reminiscent of the Marius Hammer or David-Andersen pins in enameled silver. The small pin has a large repair area to the enamel on the small left circle. It is not readily apparent if worn. But the repair is darker than the original blue. The right hand small circle has a small chip on the edge but it does not go to the metal. I believe both these defects can be seen on the photograph. It is 1" wide and it was also gilt at the start of its life. But most has worn out. The traditional. Ornate gilt metal pin is in beautiful condition with intact filigree, enamel in great shape and very light wear to the gilt. It is 1-1/4" wide and 2-1/4" long. Both have c clasps. These old copper bookends are ggorgeous. The copper has much patina and the wood overall light wear. They stand 5" high and 5.25" wide. The hand punched copper shows a wonderful scene of a Mexican fellow wearing a s ombrero snoo z ing. With a cactus in the background. The punched copper depicts a variation in sizes of the holes that creates a rick texture. Ther e are su b tle differences between the two. One is a bit darker then the other, this one also has a border on the bottom of app 1" where there is no punching. The other holder has holes pu nched within this border. This is a Copper and Brass, 34 1/2-35" LaFrance Fire Engine Hose Nozzle.dating back to(a patent date) of 1917. By my bathroom scale, it weighs approx. 10-15lbs(my scale cheats a little for me)and it will probably ship for approx. 18-20lbs.once I've packed it well. It measure 2 1/2" across on the Copper shaft and the handles at the bottom measure 6 1/2" across, from one side to the other. I hope you like it?

17th c. Chinese Blue White Red Underglaze Porcelain Snuff Bottle- Kangxi Period GUARANTEED KANGXI AND OF THE PERIOD Kangxi 1662-1722. Artemisia leaf mark, and of the period. During the early Qing dynasty. Up until the early 1680's conditions were unsettled in China and the existence of Imperial wares as well as the use of reign marks on porcelain was restricted in various ways. During this period a number of different marks came into use, as well as two empty rings which in a way could be considered a period marking, if not Imperial. Kangxi reign era. Superb copper red with blue-white underglaze large porcelain snuff bottle marked with the transitional Kangxi Artemesian Leaf. Displays a delightful Chinese mythical motif of China men gliding on the backs of birds and upon a sea of red and restless waves. Beautiful Kangxi imaginative artistry ... moreand craftmanship. Antique Guardene Copper Fire Extinguisher 2 1/2 Gallon Copper Brass 24" Vintage
Up for auction is a vintage Guardene Fire Extinguisher. This is truely a great piece of history. Copper and brass body. This is 24" tall and 8" diameter. A very nice appealing piece. Untouched patina, others scrubbed theirs down and shined them up, this has its natural look. A cool old piece for any firefighter, paramedic, or antiquer. Not many of these around, they get rarer as time goes on. This extinguisher comes with the original inside acid bottle with lead cap& the bottle holder. As the plate reads. Tested to 350 pounds. Has the directions to mix your own extinguishing element! This is currently empty.

BADGER Extinguisher. RIVET Construction! I would think this is a highly desirable item but then again, I don't know much about these things. All I know is what my 9th grade shop teacher said- If there;s a fire, grab the extinguisher and read the instructions on the bottom. BTW- he gave me a C- on my birdhouse- think he saw me flip him the bird! and pls note- this fire extinguisher is empty. It does have an empty bottle and a ceramic plug. No dents, a few scatches, more like scratches than scrapes. Handle on bottomm somewhat rusty. Black paint in background of label coming off.

Pulling off the hatch-cover and d iving into Saleing Heaven! cue music) The attic was packed with boxes from the 1970's back to the 1930's! There was WWI military stuff. By the time I left hours later tired, sore, filthy dirty and hungry but happy, I looked like Al Jolson singing"Mammy" Well. My"score" is your good fortune! The re flecting mirr or(in very good condition with only a few tiny spots in it) appears smaller in the pix than actual because it's reflecting the inside of the body of the light around it's edge. It comes with the original empty acid bottle and bracket. The bracket appears to be in two pieces. It also comes with an inspection tag dated 1952. ONE OF A KIND! THIS BOX IS VERY LARGE AND MEASURES 32.5" IN LENGTH AND 13.5" IN HEIGHT. We recently purchased this beautiful piece at a family auction in Iowa. This extraordinary item was sold by the family to which it had belonged since around 1900. The piece was a treasured item of a Mr. Charles Mrzlack of Hammond. Indiana. Mr. Mzlack was a shoe cobbler who repaired shoes for the Chicago Bears for many years. This box had belonged to his father, who was also a cobbler and was given to his father by his mother. This ornamental and fully functional box is a shoe shine kit The beautiful box is a sturdy hand made wood with very ornately hammered and patterned copper overlay. The box features a miniature cobblers shoe mold on the top as the handle. The box extends in width with graduated sections which house the antique glass bottles/jars. ... moreThe jars have very ornate copper tops. The jars are very old. Pre-1900, with lots of air bubbles in the very thick glass. The outer curved sections of the box are hinged and open fully with deep storage. The back of the box has locked compartments(the very old key is included) One compartment is a drawer which pulls out, the other is a fold down compartment. The box is in incredible. Antique condition. It has been very well cared for. It is completely original except for the underside shelf(not visible) which seems to be a particle board replacement. The carving is exquisite, even on the back side of the box, which is NOT copper covered. There are not enough words to describe the beautiful patterning to the copper. It varies from an intricate floral, very Art Nouveau pattern on the front center, to a more Arts and Crafts pattern on the curved and side sections. I HAVE NO IDEA WHEN OR WHERE THIS SCALE WAS MADE. THIS WAS NOT CRAFTED AS A DECORATIVE PIECE AND HAS EVIDENCE OF SUBSTANTIAL WEAR ON THE SLIDE BAR BEAM AND BREAKAGE ON THE WEIGHT CASING FROM ACTUAL USE. ALL IRON PORTIONS OF IT APPEAR TO BE HAND FORGED. HAMMERED COPPER PAN APPEARS TO BE HAND-CRAFTED AS WELL AS THE BRASS BRACKETS. COPPER RIVETS ATTACH THE BRASS BRACKETS TO THE COPPER PAN. THERE ARE SYMBOLS OF WHAT APPEAR TO BE ANIMALS ON THE PAN. THE LEAD SLIDE WEIGHT IS ENCASED IN WHAT APPEARS TO BE A LIGHT COLORED BRASS OR BRONZE. I DON'T KNOW WHAT UNIT OF WEGHT MEASUREMENT IT IS INCREMENTED IN. IT HAS THREE HOOKS. A GREATER WEIGHT CAPACITY CAN BE ATTAINED BY FLIPPING THE SCALE AND UTILIZING THE OTHER HOOK. BOTH ENDS OF THE BOWL HAVE A MYTHICAL HEAD.
