Alabaster Lamp- Italy- Hand carved Circa 1900-1930 22.5" Tall- Lamp shade 12.5" We normally avoid alabaster lamps. However we made an exception for this one. Deconstructing it. It became obvious this is a very old lamp indeed, it shows not only tool marks on the alabaster but you can clearly see the stem has old welding(which I have seen on Italian Lamps) but also that at one stage it had two active sockets. It is now rewired with an on/off plug on the cord which was done quite some time ago. We also see a repair to a corner so this lamp clearly meant something to the previous owner. We thought the brass at the base was actually steel until we started cleaning it and it turned out to be 100% solid brass. So we finished cleaning it up. It now has a silk shade with it and it charming. Will be sent via FedEx.

Height to top of socket is 20 1/2" Condition is excellent as shown: Lamp has been rewired and fitted with a new 3 way socket, the original tarnish brass socket covering has been retained. Offering an enormous Neoclassical lamp with wonderful carving and tremendous presence The carved stone measures 15 3/4 inches(40 cm) tall and to the top of the double socket assembly is 27 3/4(70.5 cm) the base measures 6 1/4 inches(16 cm) in diameter and it weighs 16 pounds before packing The stone is beautiful- with wonderful patina it is a creamy ochre color with black veins The stone seem to fall in between alabaster and marble It is quite opaque but not really hard- it has a soft delicate quality It does show some small chips on the edges both top and bottom and some scuffing commensurate with age please examine the photos- they are they best description International mail by Priority or Express mail only

This auction is for a very rare 1910's antique bronzed figural elephant and Italian alabaster electric table lamp. This impressive lamp has a solid bronze or bronzed metal art deco style elephant and an Italian alabaster globe and base. This old lamp is fully functional and in very good+ condition. There are a few tiny shallow chips on the bottom edge of the top part of the globe. And a few little specks of missing white paint on the tusks. The cloth cord seems like a correct replacement that is probably very close to the original. This item may have had European origins and was converted to American use with this type of plug. The cord has a few tiny spots of worn cloth on the outer part but the inner part is still well insulated, flexible and approx. 8' long. This auction is for a vintage Gothic looking wall sconce. I think it is made of alabaster and painted gold. It is a two light candle like electrified piece. The wiring is still connected to it. Cloth covered wires, the button on the front turns. It has not been tested. The coverings on the candle parts are made of a wood cardboard like material. The oval part of the sconce is 8½ x 5½ inches. It is rather heavy piece, so I do not think it is chalkware. Up for auction is a beautiful and rare Art Deco Figural alabaster lamp featuring two huge(11.5" high x 4" wide) carved perched cockatoo love birds and an inverted bell shaped shade(6-1/2" high x 9" wide) over the baluster. The Love Birds and their perching stump appear to be carved out of one solid piece of beautiful white and grey veined alabaster. Both the light shade and 1" rectangle platform also appear to be alabaster. I am uncertain of the composition of the pole extending from base to bowl. It appears to be some sort of stone or milk glass. The bowl holding the shade is faux alabaster ceramic. This very heavy lamp dates back to the 1930's in some form and is 24-1/2" tall(including shade) x ... more10" wide. It weighs approx 35 lbs and probably would benefit from a local pick-up. Vtg Egyptian Revival TV Lamp Art Deco Marble Hand Carved Alabaster Works
For your consideration is this Old Marble or Alabaster Table or TV Lamp of Queen Nefertiti. The owner said her mother had it for many years. The only information I could find about it was that it was made in Egypt during the Art Deco or Egyptian Revival Period. And imported to the US. The lamp works. But it has what I'd consider very primitive wiring, and it should be rewired. I couldn't believe it when I found no socket inside. The wires are just soldered to the top and base of the bulb! I've taken close-ups so you can see everything well. The plug is an old one, but there is no cardboard insert inside to cover the screws. I also see a bit of the copper wire showing near the base. So it definitely needs rewiring before using for safety sake. I must say that the bust is beautiful when lit. The alabaster glows orange in places ... morewhich truly enhances the bust. There are some natural striations to the stone which also adds depth and interest. I don't see any chips. The top of her hat comes off to get at the bulb. There are two rusty pieces of metal in the top that fit inside tiny holes in the head. To keep it in place. The base was glued onto the bust at one time, so there's some dried glue on it. It will make the wiring easier to replace with the base separated. Our lamp measures 7 1/2" high x 3 1/4" wide x 4" deep. This will make a lovely accent piece in any room. Low starting bid and NR. Antique 1920's White ALABASTER & MARBLE Carved SWAN EGRET HERON Bird Table Lamp
Up for your consideration is this absolutely exquisite antique carved white Alabaster and Marble table lamp from the 1920's. This lamp depicts a long necked bird with it's wings spread- I believe the bird is either a swan. Egret or heron. Absolutely stunning detail and the white color really stands out. The lamp has two lights with individual pull switches so that you can adjust the amount of light. Measures 27.5 inches tall from the base to the finial and 9.5 inches wide without a shade(no shade included) This lamp is quite heavy because the alabaster and marble portion alone measures approx. 12.5 inches. In excellent condition. One small chip on the wing of one bird(enlarge pic#9, wing of bird on right near legs) There is a painted portion of the lamp above the alabaster that has chipped cream paint as well. Best of all the lamp ... moreworks! This lamp would go beautifully into many decorating styles- Victorian, Art Nouveau, Traditional, etc. So stunning! I fell in love with this lamp when I found it at a Buffalo. NY antique shop over 12 years ago, the owner of the shop claimed it was a 1920's lamp when I purchased it. I believe this lamp is one-of-a-kind and/or repurposed, see extra hole on base of lamp. It is difficult to date this lamp to the exact year, however, the"Arrow" company name is on the light sockets. Arrow was in business from 1904-1927. Arrow applied for patents on pull-style light sockets in 1909-1911 and 1915(see antiquesockets.com) Therefore, I believe this lamp dates circa 1920's(could be earlier) Square base is white marble. Carved portion is white alabaster. Finial has a hole that goes all the way through the top. Vintage Art Deco Alabaster Marble Stone Mantle Torchiere Lamp Garniture Set Please read description below and. Included In Auction: Vintage Art Deco Alabaster Marble Mantle Torchiere Lamp Garniture Set I think these are made of alabaster and am selling them as such but they may me marble or another stone. Please be your own expert if you know more than I. Lights work(see photos) I am guessing that these are from the 1930s or 1940s, Dimensions Total Height: 8.5" Base: 4.25" Diameter, Globe: Height 6" x Width 3.5" Cord Lengths: One is 8 foot& other is 12 foot long. I am guessing this is meant for using on either side of a bed or mantle and both being plugged into the same outlet on one side. I can't find a name or makers mark so I am unsure which designer produced these. I actually haven't been able to find another ... moreexample of these anywhere. So I think these are pretty rare. Nice warm glow. They almost look like glowing mushrooms. Bases have a notch in them to allow the lamps to sit flat, Each globe has 3 vents/holes near the point which I believe allows heat to dissipate, This requires the smaller size bulb base. I do not see any cracks or cracking. There are some surface scratches- some a little deeper than others. You may be able to buff them all out. A light rubbing of oil may help with the scratches as well. I'll let the new owner work their magic. The tooth/fringe at the bottom does have some chipped ends. Base has some scratches, The pieces fit together a little loose right now. There are nuts that can be tightened at the base of the bulb. Sold as is. In used condition. No warranty. ANTIQUE Colonial Premier # 252 Brass Cast Iron Alabaster Bridge Arm Lamp
Up for bid is an antique turn of the century Brass and Cast Iron and Alabaster Bridge Arm Floor Lamp by Colonial Premier. It has the early number of 252 in the designs produced. The Lamp is not wired but has the tubed arm for the socket and Glass Shade and the Cord to extend out the other side. There is no opening in the Brass Pole or Alabaster for a Cord. The design is hammered Brass and Victorian Floral Brass with an Arrow Peak that is in excellent condition as is the top parts of the Pole. The last Pole portion and Base are Cast Iron with Brass overlay and does show some surface oxidation and patina that will clean up with a good polishing. The Alabaster Base is in good condition with just a few minor nicks. Not sure how you clean this surface. But it looks nice how it is. It has one small flaw on top in the casting. French Art Deco Modernist Alabaster Lamp C. 1930-40's
Very unusual French art deco modernist alabaster lamp of a maiden worshipping the light emitting from the globe. Circa 1930-40. The lamp is in full working order. The globe and figure are carved from alabaster. The quality of craftmanship particularly on the globe is exceptional with the egg shaped globe having being carved out of one piece of alabaster. Consequently it is very heavy. The light shining through the alabaster creates a warm and interesting glow. Although it is made in the style of the German Art Nouveau period, spot-welding wasn't done around 1910. Materials: The frame is made out of wrought iron elements. The entire wall lamp is made with a great love to the detail, especially the roses and leaves. The single wrought iron elements were also hand-painted. Great craftmanship! The half-round shade is made out of unusual thick-walled alabaster stone. Measurements: The entire wall light is very big. Up for your consideration is a stunning ornate vintage alabaster swirl marble table lamp. The lamp has a beautiful pinkish/cream back ground color with gold/black swirls. It has wonderful brass handles with a gold metal ornate design. The lamp has a lovely square shape shade is labeled custom made in Shields Studio. Detroit. The shade has staining and some wear requires cleaning. The table lamp is a double bub with the switch in the cord. It works great and is very heavy in weight. The vintage table lamp measures 27" tall. In picture 5 you can see a small nip in the marble at the edge of the gold metal plating. This lamp has been newly rewired with a 3-way socket and a cord with a polarized plug. The cord has some scratches right near where it enters the lamp from when it was being installed. The base is 5" square. I've sold several pairs of alabaster lamps. And this one has more of a translucent look than they did. In one picture I put an LED flashlight to the side of the lamp. I'm not sure if this is alabaster or onyx. A new harp and finial can always be purchased to suit your needs. The bottom square base is 3-5/8" x 3-1/2" The floral and leaf band around the top is approximately 3-3/4" wide and the bands circumference is 11" Great condition. There is 4 very small shallow lite scrapes in the"vase section" that has the incised vertical lines. The footing of the"Vase section" that is perched atop the smallest square block has a milky white spot on it that is about 3/4" long x 3/16th's of an inch wide(not real bad) On the largest bottom square block. 2 of the corners that touch the table have nicks. All 4 of the upper ... morecorners of this large bottom block have very tiny little nicks and along the top edge of this large bottom square block there is some little dings. Mat need a gentle cleaning in the incised grooves etc. Made in Italy 41 stamped on the bottom. This lamp does not work and needs a new bulb socket and the cord has a small cut by the plug in. Here is a stunning and vintage Art Deco Gerdago pixie lady lamp with alabaster dome shade and streamlined metal columns from San Francisco Estate. Circa 1930's. She is exquisite! This wonderful deco lady is dressed in a red dancing outfit. She has a celluloid face, and she is dancing in a gazebo with three metal columns, alabaster base, and alabaster dome shaped shade. The deco lady is made of some kind of metal with a bright red painted finish- a magnet will not stick to her. The overall measurement of the lamp is 14-1/2" tall and 7" wide. Bronze tone cast metal(not cast iron) base and stem with light tones alabaster accents on the base and stem. The glass torchiere shade is 16" wide and made of very thick glass. GORGEOUS GIRANDOLE. This is for an old alabaster lamp with lots of hanging crystal spear prisms. Its old but wiring does work but should definitely be checked by a professional. Its marble and you can see the different colors its mostly cream with some brownish areas coming through. Its old and has a great look if you love crystals like myself. It will add drama to any room I assure you. Probably some knicks to crystals nothing too major though. There is a small knick to the top finial. Also I like to mention everything so 2 of the arms are 9" tall and the other 2 are about 8.5" high from base. I am not sure if it was made this way or if over time they got bent this way, its not a perfect square, but it still looks fabulous, I just like to mention everything.
