On30 Loco Shed Scratchbuilt Built Up--Lighted For Shay/Heisler/Climax Locomotive
This listing is for one scratch built On30 locomotive shed. About 6 months ago I started playing around with On30 scale.this was one of my first projects. I actually started building two. Thinking for sure I would mess one up along the way. It turned out they both ended up what I would consider pretty nice, but I don't need two, so I thought I would offer one here. I have no idea if this is a good deal or not, I can tell you it isn't perfect but I really think it looks neat. I know I have an awful lot of time in it! Hope you think it's worth it as well. This was built with a 1/4" cherry base. With a redwood"pole frame" along with real redwood siding. I had an old piece of redwood around for the last 25 years and I thought it had a natural weathered look to it. Sawmarks were left in to give it that"fresh from ... morethe mill" appearance. The only other weathering that was done was a bit above the door, little bit on the roofing as you'll see, and the windows of course being a loco shed are a mess! There are three lights, two inside, one outside. This building has Grandt line windows& doors. Included are double doors for the front, I will send them along, they can simply be glued on in the open or shut position, whatever you prefer. The overall measurements of this building are 7" wide(28 scale feet) 8 1/2" long(34 scale feet) and 7 1/2" tall(30 scale feet tall) and that is from bottom to the top of the peak vent. The main loco part of the building is just over 4" by 8" or 16 X 32 scale feet. The small workshop addition is 2" by 3" or 8 X 12 scale feet. The loco door opening is just over 2 1/2 inches wide by 3 5/8" tall. I did not want to place this on a base thicker than 1/4" did not want a large grade up into the shed. On my 1/4" base, the spot for the tracks was routed out approximately 1/8" so when the track was handlaid the track spikes stick out the bottom a bit. Was not a big deal to me as I have a blue foam base on

You are viewing a used John Deere model 235 two row corn head for corn planted on wide rows. Sorry about the poor quality photos. It is hard inside the shed where it is stored to get good ones. I bought this many. Many moons ago along with a 45 JD combine. It has not been used for 20 years, but has been stored in a shed. I was told that it will also fit on a John Deere 55 combine, but I have no way of knowing for sure. It weighs around 1800 pounds? and I have a crane and forklifts to load it with if you come pick it up. If you need it shipped. I think I can remove the snouts to make it shorter and strap it to a pallet- you pay the freight charges. I will have to build a pallet heavy and large enough to handle this head if you want it shipped that way. I will have to charge $100.00 to cover the material cost and my labor to do so. 2 VINTAGE CAST IRON AP SLIDING BARN DOOR LATCH ~ GATE GARAGE SHED FARM LOCK TOOL
Offered are two identical cast iron sliding door latches. These are marked AP. I've seen identical latches marked"AP. ALLIGATOR. Perhaps they made these for applications where reptile references were unwelcome. These are a spring action latch and were used on many kinds of sliding doors and gates. Additionally they could be padlocked, and could be opened from either side of a wall with a handy pull chain. I'm not sure of the exact age of these, but they are positively old. The latches are about 7 inches long and 3-3/4 inches across in the latched position. They each weigh a bit over a pound. They are cast iron with steel springs and pins. The flat chain is copper. I can't see any signs of use or wear. But they may have been gently used. There are no cracks, breaks or bends anywhere. The springs are strong and the latch action ... moreis firm and positive. There are remnants of old black paint. I'm not sure these had much of a paint coat when new. There is minor corrosion, mainly on the backs. They are clean and perfectly operational. What we have done in the past is cut them down, put rubber roofs on them and then customize them for what ever use. The metal does have some discoloration from being exposed to the elements. The balls do have some very light dings which do not distraction from there appearance. Hello: Just found this in a very old shed. Not sure what it is. Looks like it might be a steam engine converted to a pump. Just a wild guess. You be the judge. It measures 25" long. 9" wide. 9 1/4" overall height. the Brass Fly wheel is 9 1/4" diam. 5/8" wide and total weight is 38 lbs. It is all most all Brass except for the base and screws and bolts and round piston rod. It was partially apart and not bolted to the base. I bolted it to the base with modern bolts. It turns over smooth and one of the outlets on top sucks and the other one blows. I think it could be used as a pump or very nice display or show. I couldn't make myself throw it in the scrap Brass. Hi here is my work shop which i use daily. it is water tight but scruffy a bit of tlc will sort this out it has a few dents and marks on from age i have only own this for three month has to now go due to move. it has two new tyres on costing £60 each. There is no towing lights on it so you would have to bring tow light board with you there is electrics in side- heating, a window on the side with security grill not fitted with it and steps. it is 12 foot x 8 foot approximately and about 12 foot high this will make someone a nice office work shop. These hangers came off the same door but differ in total length by about 1/2" One steel strap was more pitted than the other. And one pin has been replaced. It is hard to notice the differences. The wheels are about 2 1/2" diameter by about 1 1/8" wide and turn easily, showing little of the side-to-side"slop" expected in hardware of this age. One wheel has a 1/2" chunk out of its collar which does not seem to affect its operation. See my photo to observe the inner roller bearings.
