This features 4 drawers and a top area with wood inserts(removable) ... moreto provide for 6 compartments. The middle shelf in the top area can be removed and a small TV can fit on the bottom shelf. It measures 38" wide by 20" deep by 6'4-1/2" high. This armoire has an Asian influence/Campaign style with the brass latches and hinges. Condition: Overall very. Very fine! The wood is beautifully grained. At the top(see photo 4) there is the little metal piece missing from the top right hinge that would go over the two screws on inside of the door. I went to our local hardware store. But they did not have such a part. I'll try Home Depot next; I'm sure the part can be located. There is a small chip to the wood on the left side of cabinet on the molding near the bottom(see photo 9) If the buyer so desires. I can add some wood putty, sand it and stain it. It is not so noticeable as it appears in the very enlarged photo. NOTE about shipping: I cannot ship this myself. Nor can I move it. Henredon Four Centuries Vintage French Large Oak Armoire w/ Fitted Interior
Henredon Four Centuries French Heavily Carved Oak Armoire with Fitted Interior. The armoire has 2 beautifully carved doors that open to a fitted interior. On the front center of the oak doors are oval shaped carvings that include circling rosettes and leaves. The ribbing of this oval shape intertwines with the carvings of the paneled front. Here there is an ornate vertically placed brass pull with a cut out back plate. The center fluting continues from the top to the bottom of the doors. Towards the top of the door are additional floral style carvings framed by the curved paneled front. Also. B oth sides of the armoire are paneled. In the top center is a carved medallion depicting a vase with flowers cascading outwards. On each side of the medallion are carved vines extending horizontally towards the side of the cabinet. The top is raised ... morein the center with thick rounded moulding finishing the edge. The base has french style scrolled front legs and simple rear legs. Curved moulding between the two front legs and between the front and rear legs. The fitted interior has one large shelf on top. 8 cubby holes, and 4 drawers. The top drawer is fitted with partitions and jewelry storage. The interior of cabinet is in excellent condition; all drawers open and closely properly with clean interiors.
