It is in good condition with no chips or cracks but the back does have rips on each side near the bottom as seen in photos. The rips are not noticeable when the frame is displayed. WOW! What a beautiful old picture frame! I think is from Portugal. I say this because I have a huge mirror with the same decorative style border and made from the same gold colored brass(or bronze) material. It has a sticker on it that says where it is from. I have looked this frame over and over and find no mark or such sticker. I figured they had a sticker on it(like my mirror does) and the sticker is just gone. Anyway. It is for an 8X10 photo but the actual measurements of the frame are 13X11. This is such a pretty frame, and in really great vintage condition! No damage I can see. Lovely Roses adorn the border all the way around. Each rose has a heart around it. How sweet! There are two rubber tips on the feet to prevent furniture scratches, but these can be removed if desired. This is a handmade frame and that is obvious with close observation. ... moreIntense detailing, even on the reverse side of the frame design. Velvet backed slide out piece. The only flaw is with the old glass. One corner is broken and it is pictured in the last photo. Now when the glass is in the frame- it covers the break and you do not see it. If you look at the photos it looks like there are several cracks in the glass, but there is not! What you see are lines on the cardboard backround, NOT cracks in the glass. Except for the broken edge corner, the glass is in really good condition for the age. Very clear with few scratches. I have other frames and things for auction now so please check out my other items. Vintage WW1 World War One Cast Iron Picture Photo Frame 1917
Estate sale found early vintage circa"1917" cast iron or steel World War One military picture/photo frame in excellent condition. This was found with no photo present. The paint is very well preserved with a great patina and the rear prop leg is in excellent working order and the three swivel photo retaining pins are all present and also in great condition. Back is marked with a number as seen in image# 9. This has not been cleaned and still has many years of dust in the crevices. Measures approx. 9+1/4" high x 6+5/8" wide at the feet. Will accept a photo of approx. 6" x 4+1/4" with a 1/2" of inner frame lip variance for smaller sized images. Displays well, would look great with a period military portrait, a nice addition to any collection. Will be shipped USPS Priority Mail with tracking provided.

VINTAGE BEVEL GLASS FRAME WITH ORIGINAL CONTENTS– A PHOTOGRAPH OF A MILITARY OFFICER IN UNIFORM– frame and photo are circa 1940– 1950’s. The photo is black and white. Professionally done, with good shadows and accents around the facial area. No studio name on the photo. But may be on the back of the photo under the backing. The military officer has an overcoat and hat on in the photo– some type of insignia on the hat that would identify the military branch. The frame is a large solid piece of glass with bevel edges. The glass panel is almost 1/4 inch thick. The frame and contents weigh over 6 pounds before any packing materials. To give you an idea how heavy the frame is. The back of the frame is the original velvet backing. Burgundy but uniformly faded, with the original easel stand, with a slight bend out at the bottom from standing on ... morea table all these years– see photo– still stands firmly on a table. Would certainly be a conversation piece standing in a room– people would want to know who it is– looks good enough to be a movie actor! The frame is made only of one large piece of glass with a thick velvet backing. No chips that I can see or feel in the glass. A very little bit of superficial scratching on some of the edges. Only from handling. The photograph– original to the frame– is placed under the glass and is held in place by 4 screws that go from front to back. My pictures are not really good– too much glare on some of them– difficult to get the full effect of the clear glass. The lines across the glass are reflection. And the lightness at the bottom of the photo is only from glare. Outer measurements of the frame are 14 ¼ inches by 17 ¼ inches. Size for the photo and the backing is 10 ¼ inches by 13 ¼ inches. Large Vintage Syroco 2pc Frame set w/ Floral Prints or Use your Photo or Art
Here is a nice old vintage pair of 12" h x8" at widest area. Rococo style frames from the 60s. Area for oval art or photo measures 6.5" x 4 11/16" approx. Made of resin or heavy plastic type material and painted in a burnished gold, these are very ornate and well made. Marked Made in USA, I cannot see a manufacturer but I can attribute them to Syroco. Perhaps the name is under the backing. The prints are in nice shape(please read condition issues above) and bright. Can be removed and used for a photo or different print.
