A replacement will be required and can be acquired at any glass and mirror shop in almost all towns and cities. They are inexpensive. This is marked B&H, and has a bronze ring to hang it with. Manufactured around 1870. It is almost identical to an easel bronze Bacchus bronze mirror frame I have listed as well. But the easel mirror frame is not marked. Both were acquired from the same estate and they were used as a set, one on a parlour table, the other hanging above it. The two bottom corners of this piece have no feet as does the easel frame, and less flourish on these two corners. It is impossible to tell if this was manufactured this way as part of this set, or if an early owner had it customized this way to hang above the easel frame in my other listing. A very beautiful example of early cast iron and bronze guilding. This piece is 14.25" tall. And 9.5" wide, and heavy. Payment by PayPal only- No eChecks. Cast iron picture frame. Ornate oval, with swivel easel back. Holds 8" x 6" photograph or mirror, Victorian era. Sits on darling legs. And has a beaded inner border, a floral swag border, then the ornate, open scrollwork. Missing two of the three swivel clasps that hold the photograph in place. Antique Cast Iron Victorian Picture Photo Mirror Easel Frame Brass Bronze Color
This antique cast iron table top photo or mirror frame measures 12&1/2" tall. And the opening is approximately 4&5/16" x 6&1/8" It's made of heavy cast iron with a brass-colored metallic paint or plating. As shown, it's in very good condition, with no breaks or missing metal, just typical wear to the brass paint/plate here and there and a nice aged patina. The stand works fine. This does not have any backing. But since this has a metal stand, something can easily be rigged up to hold a photo or small mirror in the frame. I actually displayed this with a piece of murky antique shaving mirror glass in it, but because it was a bit small for the frame I had to place a slightly larger piece of glass taken out of a photo frame behind it to hold it in place, so I am NOT including the mirror in this listing.

I presume that these frames were obtained by the GI's to put their photos in for the families back home. It shows the Eagle. Drums and bugles, American crossed flags, and crossed cannon on the bottom. It is heavy and well made. A true collectors item~ the numbers 9445 is stamped into the metal on the back of the frame. This frame is in wonderful shape for it's age with a great patina. There is some wear to the blue paint on the American flags and a few small flaws or chips on the right side.
