ANTIQUE VICTORIAN EASTLAKE FRAME INCISED CORNERS EBONIZED TRIM 20+X24+ AS IS
ANTIQUE VICTORIAN WALNUT EASTLAKE FRAME w/ INCISED GOLD DESIGN IN EACH CORNER. Circa 1860’s– 1880’s. Ebonized trim around the outside edge and the inside opening. FRAME IS IN“AS IS” CONDITION– FINISH IS ORIGINAL BUT THE STRUCTURE NEEDS SOME RESTORATION. The front of the frame has original finish in pretty good condition– the problem are the outside edges– no finish on them. Some nail holes and splintery broken edges where nails were– there may have been another wood layer on the outside of the frame. A little sanding on the sides would help! Dark original finish on the front of the frame. The incised gold design on the corners has faded– needs to be re-touched. Outer measurements of the frame are 20 ¼ inches by 24 ¼ inches. The frame can be used vertically or horizontally. Opening size is 16 ¾ inches by 20 ¾. The frame ... moreis 3/4 inch deep measured from the side and about 2 inches wide measured from the front. Corners are pretty tight– a small chip off the outside edge of one corner. I tried to picture as many of the flaws and damages that I could to let you know what you are buying. ANTIQUE EASTLAKE INCISED EBONIZED & GRAINED FRAME 14X16PRINT GIRL VIOLIN & DOGS
ANTIQUE VICTORIAN EBONIZED& INCISED WOODEN FRAME WITH PRINT OF A LITTLE GIRL PLAYING THE VIOLIN. AND 3 DOGS HOWLING TO THE MUSIC. Outer edges of the frame are ebonized. And the inside has grain painting and two gold tone edges around the opening for the glass. Outer measurements of the frame are 13 ¾ inch by 15 ¾ inch. The frame is wood. Covered with a gesso, then“EBONIZED” to go along with many furniture pieces of that era. The black gesso has been carved to give an incised(carved into the ebonized wood into the white gesso) geometric design in each of the 4 corners– the frame has Eastlake Victorian feeling to it. LOTS OF DETAILS ABOUT THE FRAME– I HAVE PROBABLY MADE IT SOUND WORSE THAN IT IS. BUT I WANT YOU TO KNOW THE CONDITION BEFORE YOU BID. The design on each of the 4 corners is in pretty good condition- a few spots are ... moremissing. Especially the upper left corner. I have pictured each corner so you can see condition. The frame is solid– corners are tight– no wiggles. Brown graining is in good original condition. Gold tone layers have some discolorations and a little missing– see pictures. The frame with print. Glass, and cardboard backing weighs just less than 4 pounds. The ebony finish on the outer edges has touch-up’s to the black finish over the years. On the wall the frame looks fine– has a nice presentation. But up close you can see where parts of the gesso have come off and have been touched up with black finish. The vintage print is from the 1970– 1980’s– a copy of an antique Victorian print. Print is in good condition. No stains, no tears. A very sweet subject– the little girl playing the violin. Dogs howling, and a kitten that looks as though it is screeching at the whole thing. Outer measurements of the frame are 13 ¾ inches by 15 ¾ inches. I don't pick up too many of these deepwells unless they are unusually nice. This is one of those frames. An outstanding c1860 walnut deepwell with multipart frame construction producing a 4 layer deep frame. This one has an outer walnut frame. A brightly gilded inner frame followed by an incised, ebonized molding and a brightly gilded incised site liner. The frame is in fantastic condition with only minor wear and has the original wavy glass and shingle backboard. Mitered corners with square nailed construction. This is an outstanding late 1800s brilliant gilded Victorian Aesthetic Eastlake three layer deep-well frame in nearly mint condition. The interior layer is gilded and is in very good condition with only minor discoloration or wear. The second layer is ebonized and incised decoration in a floral design. The outermost layer is wood. Probably walnut. The frame is in very good condition with only very minor wear. From the back you can see the multi-layered. Square nailed construction with the original shingle backboard. This wonderful frame measures 14-1/2” x 12-1/2” with a 9-3/4” x 7-3/4” opening. The print is Currier and Ives“American Farmyard Evening” which first came out in 1857. 1880's Victorian Ebonized Eastlake DOUBLE Picture Frame Orig Matting Aesthetic
This item is fresh out of a local basement where it was stored for years! I don't recall seeing one like this before! Overall. The piece is about 12 x 16 and does have some chipping, wear, and touchups to some chipped areas. One of the small brass half metal pieces is missing in the u/r. The piece still displays just well as it is. The decorative picture frames flip up. I'm not sure if there was wire holding them at one time like a magazine rack that would hang on a wall. Lovely Antique Eastlake Wood Frame with Ruffled Satin Mat Up for your consideration is this lovely antique frame. I think it is in the Eastlake style with small carved out accents on a ebonized wood frame, there is an old cardboard backing which is still nailed in at the top, I did not move the backing any further, there is a lovely matting with an oval center which appears to be silver, silver plated, or metal, the oval is surrounded with a lovely satin fabric with a ruffled look, the color is sort of a teal but I think this a result of fading and it was probably a more prominent green or blue. The glass is dirty, the matting looks faded but in good overall condition, the wood frame is also in good condition with a small slice of wood taken out at one of the feet, see pic. Eastlake Walnut & Ebonized Deep Picture Frame w/Tintype Photo; 8x10" Opening
This is a very deep Eastlake picture frame that is primarily made of walnut. But has a strip of carved, ebonized decoration, along with 2 gilded areas. There is an old thick mat under the glass, which has a gold oval opening and a tintype picture of a young man wearing a hat. There is a think wood backing slab, and an old hanging wire. The frame is 14 3/4" tall by 12 3/4" wide at the outer edges. The picture opening is 8" by 10" The depth of the frame is 3 1/2" It is in excellent condition. With no damage to the varnished wooden areas, and no damage of the ebonized area, although there is a little fine crazing. There is some discoloration of the gold gilded areas( just small brownish streaks or smudges) The wood backing slab is loose and needs fastened to the picture with longer nails, but it is undamaged and is the ... morecorrect size. The thick old mat has a little darkening with age, but no actual stains. I am willing to combine more than one item in a package to lower your shipping costs. 19th century three-level. Ebonized walnut. Carved, Eastlake frame with original Miller Family photograph dated 1823 with glass. Outer level is ebonized deep-well walnut. Middle inner level is painted burl wood finish with incised corners. Bottom level is stenciled silver leaf. Circa mid19th century Overall. Frame measures 20.5" high x 16.5" wide x 3" deep. The back opening size is 16.5" x 12" Three-level molding is 3" wide. Some scuffs and a small spot of finish loss outer walnut. Middle, right side. The stenciled silver leaf has small spot of finish loss upper left. Frame has its original wood back; looks like it's never been opened. Weighs 5 lbs.

Up for sale is this circa 1870 Eastlake style frame with original ebonized gesso on wood finish with delicate intaglio carved corner details. I especially like the potted plant at lower left. The frame features bright(fly-specked) lemon gold accent on both the outer and inner edges of the frame. Nicley offsetting the ebony. The ebonized finish has a few chips and scratches. And the top section has a brown tint to it(might be able to be cleaned, but I did not want to try) The lemon gold is in very good. Aged condition with a nice patina. Its outer dimensions are 13” x 15” And the rabbet is 8” x 10” The molding is about 3” wide and 1 5/8” deep, and has some rubs and scratches with stable finish. A wonderful. Sturdy frame. Being offered"as is as found" there is loss to the ebonized gesso- all along the edges. The marbleized areas are superb, showing wonderful color. The gold gilded liner under the black and the liner along the inside edge have darkened over the years and there is some missing along the top edge on one side. The corners are square and tight, no wobble, good solid construction. Eastlake Vintage Ebonized Renaissance Revival Frame 1888 Engraving Edmon Castan
This frame is in good condition with normal wear due to age. It is made up of 2 layers of chipped craved ebony with gold leaf inner boards and then the last layer is a stenciled lemon gold liner. The frame retains the original finish. Wavy bubble glass and wooden back. It is put together with cut nails and all the corners are tight. It measures 18" by 16" The print is an engraving which is in great condition with no stains or tears. It is printed on quality heavy stock period paper. On the bottom of the engraving is dated"1888" and is signed"Edmond Castan" who was a French painter. Both the frame and engraving are 100% guaranteed to be authentic, not reproductions. Victorian Eastlake Picture Frame Incised Ebonized Wood Stenciled Gilt 12.5 x 14.25 in This beautiful late Victorian Eastlake style frame has ebonized wood with an incised design and an pretty stenciled geometric pattern on half of the inner gilt molding. it measures 12 1/2 by 14 1/4 inches with an opening of 7 1/2 by 9 1/2 inches. The thin gesso is chipped on the outer gilt edge at the lower right. And on the upper left corner. The gilt is worn in several places along the edge, and there are several smaller chips on the interior gilt molding. There are a number of holes on the back from nails of various sized.
