This auction is for an antique oval brass picture frame. It is dated Pat. May 19. 1908. The frame is 4" 3 3/8" It has some scuffs as seen in the photo. No glass pane, I do not think it ever had one. Metal back just slides out for placement of picture. Someone had added the velvet piece, could easily be removed. This is a beautiful antique picture frame. It appears to be brass. Not sure, but it is that color. It is quite heavy, total measurement is about 13" tall, and 9 1/4" across. The picture opening is about 4 1/4 x 5 3/4" There is no glass for this frame, and on the back, I'm not sure if there was an easel stand for it at one time that is missing? Antique peacock metal picture frame art deco early 1900s
This art deco picture frame comes from a Florida estate and is a gem. A real rare find! It measures about 5 inches across by 7 1/2 inches long, and it holds a picture that's about 3 inches by 4 1/2 inches. The peacock on the front is about 2 inches high. It appears to be made out of some kind of dark metal, and the only markings we can find is the number 8416 on the back. There are some nicks in the paint, although nothing major, just normal stuff from about 100 years of existence. I would say it is in very good condition. Please feel free to ask any questions. Antique Metal Filigree Picture Frame This beautiful frame displays the exquisite filigree workmanship that existed during the early 1900's. There are geometric shapes lining the front of the frame and small flowers along the back of the frame. The edge has yet another pattern. The frame appears to be made of brass. But I'm not certain. The frame measures approximately 10-1/8 inches by 8-1/8 inches. There is an OVAL inset within the 8 X 10 picture frame. Note: The photos distort the oval image and it appear to be round. However. It is a very lovely oval shape. This is in very good condition for its age. The brown velveteen back board shows some minor wear. A pin has been punctured through the back board to help secure the stand but I do not believe it is necessary. ANTIQUE Gilded Metal PICTURE FRAME in Original LEATHER DISPLAY BOX
This auction is for a unique and displayable antique oval picture frame in its original leather carrying case/display box. The outside of the box consists of black leather with a gilt design on front and a collapsible leg/stand on the backside. Upon opening there is a removable oval shaped gilded metal frame with plastic/glass picture cover. The inside of the frame has a piece of flowered fabric that was put in a long time ago and does not hinder its ability to put a photo in. The front of the frame is removed by popping it out and putting it back together by applying pressure. It is attached to the box by a hook and has a padded cloth interior. The box measures 6 1/2" tall. 5" wide and about 1"deep. The removable inner oval frame is 4 1/2" tall and 3 1/2" wide, while the photo space is just smaller than those dimensions. ... moreThis item is in decent condition for its age. The actual picture frame has no flaws. Just some slight wear. The box's leather shows a little wear/rubbing, the gilt is bright, while the leg on the back is a little loose and there is a newer ribbon keeping the arm from opening too far. It appears that it was silverplated at some point- unmarked- the broken off corner had been glued on at some point- it's is included& fits well& is awaiting proper repairs. clean. 1930's Antique gold gilt metal / brass FILIGREE VANITY PICTURE FRAME Ornate
Old frame. Has some dark areas of patina from normal age and use. I cleaned it a little with soap and soft brush but dark areas. the gold gilding. Very ornate pierced detail filigree with five petal flowers set on each of the curved"ruffles" The previous owner told me this was her Mom's and it originally had matching perfume bottles so this was from a set. I only have the frame. Dark burgundy velvety fabric on the back and it can either stand or be hung on a wall as it has two rings for attaching a picture wire. 12-1/4" high. 10" across the outer measurement, and the photograph size would be for a standard 8" by 10" I tried to slip the back board in with some white tissue paper behind the glass to show the frame best but the paper slid up because it was too thick. That is why you see only a strip of black ... morealong the bottom. The reverse of the velvet backing is black. Guaranteed to be as described though not sold on approval. As is. antique bronze over white metal cupid frame PRICE CUT
Very unusual and unique this round mirror/picture frame. I think it is cast white metal with bronze plating and possibly silver plating. It looks different in different light. Bronze is more visible on the back side. The claws that holds the contents are held in place with a small peg and a screw. I think the screws may need replacing. Otherwise it is in fantastic conditions.No breaks or cracks. There is a triangular hanger on the back as well as old twisted wire used to support it's weight. There is a gold number 19 on back near the top. Visible in 4th photo. The repousse design is a repeat of a pair of cupids and flowers. It is repeated 4 times seperated by pairs of back to back scrolls. The edgeing is rounded tooth with a raised dot in center of each tooth. Measurements: outside is 11 1/2" on front side and 11 3/4" on back ... moreside. These are diameters and the difference in measurement is due to the dome shape of the frame. Height at inside edge is 3/4" The opening is 7 1/2" diameter. Age I believe to be between 1890 and 1920. There are no identifying marks on it. I do not accept returns or give refunds.
