Antique 22" x 17" Dark Black Wood Picture Frame with Gold Leaf Gilt Border 1890
This is one of the most attractive antique frames that I have on ebay right now. It is a simple frame but I find it to be a really beautiful frame. This frame is from around the 1890s and is mostly a dark black with a bright gold leaf inside border. The rabbet measures about 22" x 17" Each side of the frame measures about 1 3/8" wide. On the side of the frame near one of the corners. There is a good sized chip(measuring about 1" x 1/4" and a crack extending from that chip. However, this damage does not effect the structural integrity of the frame and it not visible when the frame is hanging on the wall as it is on the side of the frame. Because you can't see it, I would still say this frame is still in very good condition. This frame is really gorgeous. The deep dark outside border really highlights the lemon ... moregold inside border. It's a great frame! Shipping is $20 within the continental United States. No international shipping. Antique Eastlake Victorian Black Forest Picture Frame; walnut, old surface
Up for bids we offer this antique. Black Forest, picture frame at no reserve. From the Victorian period, it's made of walnut with a grooved surface and cut and carved corner medalions. The wood still has its original shellac; we cleaned it up but otherwise it's unrestored. The inner frame still has its original plaster and gold leaf paint with only minor aging flaws. Antique vintage 1920s 1930s era ART DECO silver & black picture frame w/ cupid
For your consideration is this antique Art Deco silver and black frame with a black and white sketch of a cupid. The frame is metal and the"matting" that one sees that is black and silver is painted. I have not attempted to open the back of the frame not wanting to disturb anything inside. The frame itself measures 6" X 8" and the inside measurement for the photo that would show is 3.5 X 5.5 inches. The frame and the paint are in excellent condition with the exception of an extremely small divet in the upper right hand corner of the frame itslef which I have attempted to photograph in the third photo. This is a gorgeous 8 X 10" metal and glass art deco style picture frame. Probably from the 30s or 40s. Probably brass, although the metal shade is very light and almost looks like silver. Looks like a frame within a frame, as there is an oval metal in the center of black reverse painted glass on each corner. At the top there is a little fleur de lis decoration, that looks like it is holding the oval on the frame. Really unique, but better to see my photos, since my description doesn't quite do it justice. The back is the velvet covered type, with an easel for standing or rings for hanging. The frame measures 15.5" x 19 3/4" inches overall. The interior oval measurements are 9.5" x 13.5" inches. Also. I did wipe it off with warm water and dirt did come off, but particularly in the upper right hand corner, there are some stains that I don't think will come off, but I think it still looks great. This auction is for this magnificent tall hand carved table top easel to hold a large photo or a painting. The body is carved to make the wood look like twigs and give it a semi rustic appearance. The top is decorated with three glorious delicately carved Edelweiss flowers. This is an amazing masterpiece carved by the famous Fluck Dynasty of Brienz. Switzerland and ... morethe tag that accompanies the frame tells us that it is carved by Peter Fluck in 1904. The wood has a beautiful patina and we can find this item in the Ed. The detailing is remarkable and quite realistic. The expression is captivating. The print is framed in the most beautiful manner. The antique, wooden frame is large and substantial. This is an Antique Picture Frame. It dates from the mid 1800's and measures 12 3/16ths by 14 3/16ths inches. It is black lacquer over wood with gold gilt. This is frame in frame construction. One wood frame inside another. The outer frames black lacquer is cut or carved to reveal the chalk or plaster underneath that is over the wood. Shown in my photos is a corner view of the construction and a view of each corners hand cut decoration. It has a cheezy 1960's Robert Wood copy print in it, I'm sure you can do better than that! Good condition for its years, but not without minor flaws.

Here is a vintage Art Deco reverse painted picture frame. The back easel material that holds the frame to the easel is torn and broken. Someone has tried numerous strips of cellophane tape to hold it in place with no luck. The easel still holds the picture upright but will need to be fixed so it doesn't slip. Otherwise the frame appears in very nice cosmetic shape with no real issues. Cracks, chips or repairs. It has chrome corners with reverse painted silver and gold paint on black. The chrome corners shows expected light surface scratching from use. There are a few edges with small tiny dots of missing black paint but nothing bothersome at all. Please see photos for condition. Victorian BLACK WOOD FRAME with Oval Matting - Very Ornate
Purchased recently at a sale in Indiana. This 19thC Antique Victorian Large Wood Frame accented with Gesso around the outside edge. Around the center glass opening and also in all four corners. I would date this frame around the mid to late 1800's. A frame of this age you would expect to have some damage. The only damage is there are missing pieces of the ornate detail work around the outside edge. The frame gesso does have some damage. Some of the ornate detailed work has come off over time so please view the photos for a look at the condition. The area around the oval glass is fine as well as the four corner detail work. The only spots are 4 small 1/2" areas(two on each left and right sides) that the detail work has come off. Really not noticeable considering the amount of detail around the whole frame. Measurements are top to ... morebottom 25 1/2" Left to right 21 1/2" Oval glass is 18 7/8" by 15" and the inside measurements of the matting are 13" by 10" The backing has the original cardboard and is being held in place by an old South Bend measuring yardstick with nails. Antique Vintage Old Black Forest style carved wooden rectangular frame with oval opening. This is a beautifully carved dark wood frame. Still in lovely condition for a really old piece and still usable shape with just a little TLC. The worst feature on the surface is some tape residue that I did not attempt to remove, It has a blue velvet matt still in it where it looks like a small square picture was attached. the oval wooden backing piece is broken in half. Oval opening is about 5 by 6 inches. With a total size of 8 by 10.5 inches. This was among my late mother's things that she had in a storage unit since the 1970's. but it is not my field of expertise if you have any questions please ask before you bid. shipping is $10 in the US
