Victorian Cut Crystal Glass Water Carafe/ Decanter with Flower Design C.1900 This is a good late nineteenth century carafe of globular form on a broad foot. It has a band of cut leaves and flowers around the sides and a line of cut dots on the neck- the flowers are oddly bent back in an almost art nouveau whiplash. The base has a ground and polished pontil mark. This is good quality hand blown& hand cut glass and dates from between about 1890 and 1910. Being a carafe for water rather than a wine decanter it was not designed to have and has never had a stopper. Size: 15 cm high- about 6 inches Weight: 359 grammes Condition: There is wear on the base from use as you would expect. And some minor scuffing and scratching on the surface- but no damage. 19th C. Antique Cut Glass Crystal Prisms Gold Gilt Mantle Lusters Moser? Czech?
Large at 10 1/2" Tall x 4 1/2" Wide. These are extremely high quality lusters and get lots of compliments from all who see them and know good antique glass. They are not signed. But I believe they are circa 1860-1890 Moser. Or a similar high quality European firm of that period. Clear, and Cut to Clear. Excellent Condition. No chips or damage to the actual mantle luster's body. Other than some areas of the gold being lightly worn in spots, but most of the heavy gold is perfect and intact. 18 of the 20 prisms are magnificent and I believe original. With very minor nicks and chipping(as expected of real antique prisms) 3 of the 20 prisims are high quality antique period replacements(not reproductions) that are similar to the originals, with the same expected minor chipping) Of the 3 replaced prisms, 1 of them has it's tip ... morechipped about 1/4" See the 2nd Photo) Also on close inspection a few of the"pillow" shaped crystals on top of the spears are very slightly different in size. Though this is not noticeable really. Many of the hanging wires have been replaced over the years, so they are various lengths and types, but the colors of the metals are aged and look similar. The lusters weigh about 2 1/4 pounds each. They will be disassembled for Priority Mail Shipping in a large box with lots of padding. And each of the prisms will be wrapped individually. Second half of 19th century(c.1851-1900) Made of fine quality crystal glass. Each lustre has lathe polished triangular-section sides and a spherical faceted drop with a flat oval faceted bead on a gilt metal attachment hook. These lustres were used as interior decorations for chandeliers, table lustres etc. Probably made in the region of Bohemia, present day Czech republic, in the later half of the 1800's. Each measures 17.5 cm in length. They each weigh approx. 95 grams. The combined weight is 904 grams. The condition is generally excellent. Stunning Tall Antique Glass Decanter 25" Austrian Crystal Molded Hand-Cut
Incredible Austrian glass decanter. Over 2 feet tall! My guess is that it's molded glass, with hand-cut crosshatching and details. The previous owners said it was from Austria. Looks like it was made 1920-1940's. Approximately 6" wide at its widest. So beautiful and elegant. There is some hand water staining inside, I washed it recently with some vinegar but haven't tried to scrub the white traces of the hard water from the inside, I think it either needs scrubbing or to sit with vinegar inside for several days. I'm moving and won't be permanently settled for a while so I don't want to carry this around with me and risk damage, it's an incredible piece, I've never seen a decanter so tall! For sale this wonderful splendid Cartier crystal glass. Bought by my grand mother in the 1950's in the Cartier shop in Paris. sadly. I've got only one, it is the only one that survived time. It is hand cut in the famous Baccarat style. The glass is used(for chocolates at tea time) but as you can see in the pictures, it's in a very good condition. It has a very good'sound' and wonderful colors in sunlight. Please look at the details! Up for sale is this stunning hand cut crystal box. It is trimmed in brass on both bottom and top rims when opened which when closed creates a wonderful stamped band with a scallop that surrounds the keyhole. It does have the original key and the hinges are in very good working order. It measures 4" x 5 1/2" x 4" and weighs 4.2 lbs. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. It comes from a welathy Connecticut estate and is truly a work of art. I had seen this very same piece in a past issue of Kovels price guide and it was valuated at $895.00.
