1854 Antique Victorian Bohemian Cased Vaseline Hand Painted Glass Compote Bowl
SquareTrade © AP6.0 Antique Bohemian Art Glass Compote Description: This is a rarity of a compote from the Victorian era. Glass bowl is cased glass with opaque white on the exterior and satin vaseline on the interior which does glow a neon green. Lovely enamel geometeric motif is hand painted with silver and gold accents through out the interior of the bowl. The bowl has a pressed puffy scalloped rib/ panel and the rim is nice crimped with multiple ruffles. Along the edge of the crimped rim has a ribbon of satin crystal. The repousse base is stamped with a number 12. I do believe and it is stamped by hand with a name, possible provence, and date of 1854. The style of the hand written name. Etc. is done in dots( to form letters and numbers. Ludewig Barmese and 1854 is the only interpretation I could make out. The base is filled for weight ... moreand covered with old felt. Bohemian origin. Not signed. Believed to be attributed to Harrach. Condition of the glass: No visible chips. One teeny flake chip was found by touch along the underneath of the rim or deep folds. No hairline breaks or fading in the hand painted decor. Metal base is in excellent condition considering age. Has one dent at the bottom of the base and there is a hairline on the stem. Victorian vaseline opalescent art glass epergne trumpet vase. This will glow under a black light as it was made with uranium. Dates to the early 1900’s. The photo is true to color. Aqua blue with white opalescent rim and green near the base, and amazingly it all glows under the black light. Measures 10 3/4 inches long. 3 3/4 top opening and 9/16 inch diameter fitter end. Hi and welcome to our auctions. On offer here is this stunning piece of Vaseline Glass. Dates from around the late 1880's and in very good condition. The colour of the main body is so intense it looks to be glowing without the use of a blacklight. The body is fluted and it has an applied handle of pale amethyst colour. The amount of uranium within this jug must be seen in the flesh as the photos do not do the piece justice. Bell is circa approximately 1850's- 1900's. The bell portion is made with cranberry glass with a intricate swirl pattern design, and has a nice opalescent rim. The handle is applied and made with yellow Vaseline glass which has it's own unique swirl design. Definitely Glows green under black light) Handle sits in a plaster molding within the bell. No chips. This superb vase comes in a pretty yellow shading and comes with a bulbous shaped body and frilly neck further stylised with lovely trailed detailing. Stands at an overall height of approx 8 inches and has an upper rim diameter of approx 4.25 inches. There are 2 manufacturing fault to the glass- one a bubble the other an oval shape(please refer to photos) also small chip more like a slither damage these all are barely visible and only mentioned for 100 per cent accuracy and does not detract from its display value of usability. The flute has a milky colour rim. It measures 11.5 cm long. The open end of the trumpet(where the flowers go! has a diameter of 7.8 cm at the widest point, the end that fits into the epergne has a diameter of 1.7 cm. The flute is in good condition. No chips etc. I will have a few other epergne parts listed in the next few weeks. As always with glass it is really difficult to do it justice on the photos. Antique Victorian bronze finish nude lady centerpiece Vaseline art glass cups
This is an incredible centerpiece with a figural semi-nude lady holding up the top. The centerpiece is 19 ½ inches high with the bowl on the top and 15 inches high without it. It is 12 inches wide. The metal centerpiece is 19 th century and the bowls on the piece are from the 1940’s. The bowls were made by Fenton and are in the Vaseline or topaz opalescent hobnail pattern. The largest bowl is 4 ½ inches high and 10 inches across. The smaller bowls are 1 ¾ inches high and 5 ¾ inches across. The metal piece has a wonder bronze finish but on the bottom it looks like white metal so the bronze finish must have been applied. It has a great patina now. The metal piece has faces near the top on each side. The two smaller bowls are attached. The larger bowl is not attached. It can easily be glued on to the top. Victorian Cranberry & Vaseline Glass Vase Stourbridge Hand Made
A really top quality early Cranberry and opalescent glass ruffled vase. The Cranberry colour is around the top. The column has a white opalescent vaseline type broken line pattern that is slightly raised on the surface. The foot is large and early with striations and air bubbles. Uneveness to outline caused by being hand made. The vase was made in two pieces and the stem sits right into the base. Protruding out of the bottom where the pontil has been polished off. There is an uneveness to the circular shape of the base as if a chip has been ground out- so sold as seen. Personally I think this may have been done when it was made It is such an unusual pattern I have decided to list it any way. Definitely old and probably from Stourbridge area.

Pair of hand-blown late-Victorian/ Art Nouveau uranium(vaseline) glass bud vases by John Walsh Walsh or Webb of Great Britain. These vases are 9.2 and 8.8cm high and are in excellent condition with most. If not all the pulled thorns and feet in excellent condition. The glass fluoresces green/yellow in strong UV light due to the addition of uranium oxide, but I am afraid I do not have the facilities to photograph this. The larger has tiny fleabites to 5 thorns and 3 feet. Felt rather than seen. It also has a swirl(not a crack) from manufacture- shown in pictures 6 and 7. The smaller has roughness to 5 thorns and 2 feet. But I think on the whole, for objects of such age and delicacy, they are in great condition. The feet have ingrained dirt and dust. Pretty Victorian glass sugar sifter or dispenser is made of uranium or vaseline glass, it glows really well under the uv light. It has an EPNS lid which is rubbed and an EPNS rim on the bottle. The body of the sifter has a coin dot pattern in the glass. It is really gorgeous. It is approx 14 cm high and the base has a diameter of 4.5 cm. It is in verygood condition. No chips etc. As always with glass it is really difficult to do it justice on the photos. Please pay within 5 days of the auction finishing. RARE VINTAGE 19TH CENTURY VICTORIAN VASELINE GLASS SPILL VASE WITH TWIN HOLDERS THAT CERTAINLY DISPLAYS SUPERBLY. TYPICAL YELLOW GREEN COLOUR WITH OPALESCEN T RIMS. This fine spill vase is of fabulous design. And is in good overall condition with minor age and use related wear as they say. Nothing overly major. Just fine surface scratches as expected, which are only really apparent when viewed under extreme magnification. The most obvious are to be found on the rims of the holders. Which have deposits of grime within the fine scratches. I stress these are not overly apparent when displayed. And no doubt could do with a better clean to remove. A couple of the small protruding cactus spine like appendages on the twin holders have minute chips to their tips also. The attention to detail in its form and design is excellent. Please note that both ... morethe opalescent rims of the twin holders are of equal colour and density. For some reason this does not show up too well in our photographs. Sorry for this. It has obviously been created with a great deal of thought by a maker of ability. However we are unable to state its maker sadly. Or country of origin. Item: A Victorian Davidson lemon glass uranium/ vaseline glass miniature salt. Stands on 6 half moon shaped feet. Decorative rim. Measures just over 1 inch in height with a top diameter of 2 inches. Condition: Very good condition with a rough feeling on the feet caused during the manufacture(where it was removed from the mould) This is normal with these types of pressed glass items. LOVELY ANTIQUE VICTORIAN CRANBERRY VASELINE OPALESCENT GLASS POSY VASE 1880's
You are invited to bid on this antique Victorian cranberry opalescent posy vase which I estimate to date around c1880's. This lovely little blown glass vase is ruby pink coloured with opalescent vaseline around the trumpet rim. It has a slight ribbed detail and underneath is the pontil mark. It measures approx. 3" tall by 2.5" wide and bears no makers marks. This vase is in good antique condition with no damage. A lovely little Victorian cranberry posy vase to add to your collection. Stunning Uranium Vaseline Opalescent Victorian Glass Vase With Flower Decoration
Stunning vaseline and opalescent Victorian glass vase with uranium content which glows under ultra violet light. Stands 12.5 cm tall and has attached flower and stem decoration. There are no chips. There is one hairline crack(2 cm long) underneath the flower(see 5th photo) but this is not visible when displayed. Postage within the U.K. will be £3.50. A gorgeous antique Victorian Vaseline glass epergne base. Beautifully handmade in pink/ white with central cone of light yellow. The cone is fitted with a single metal mount for branches. Height approx. 5 1/2" Diameter approx. 9" Threaded metal fitting internal diameter approx. 15mm. CONDITION ~ Excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks and only minimal wear. Estate item Victorian Epergne Cranberry Vaseline Opalescent Glass Brass Cherub. Wonderful antique epergne vase with ruffled fluted glass. Cranberry colored at the top and changes to vaseline at the bottom. Base is a wonderful brass cherub holder for the glasss. Measures 10 1/4" tall. In good condition.
