When you are buying online you would have to pay for the shipping. Which sometimes can be more than your purchase price. Please do the math: shipping cost + your bid amount = your final price that you would be HAPPY with. Please consider the shipping amount and do not bid more than your happy price- we want you to be happy with us because angry people can ruin our business and lower our 5 star rating, hence they believe that they always overpay, even if we believe that we sell cheap! Please remember that eBay and PayPal takes 30%off from the seller’s final amount and their charges keep going up, same as the shipping charges. If you feel that we charge you too much please d

Antique Stiegel Flip Glass Beaker 18th Century Rare Maclay Mansion
This is a beautiful antique Stiegel type flip glass. It is labeled Stiegel"FLIP" Maclay Mansion. I do not know how to authenticate this. But my research has led to believe that this could definitely be accurate. The glass is definitely hand blown, thin and designed in a way that matches the description of glass from this time period. The Maclay Mansion is in Harrisburgh,Pa which is not far from where Stiegel glass was made in Manheim, Pa. This is a beautiful piece of history. It may be impossible to completely authenticate this as Stiegel did not mark his work. Measures 4inches tall and 3.5 inches in diameter. Posted with
Antique Rare Pennsylvania DUTCH German FLIP GLASS c.1820 Mold Blown & Engraved
Antique Pennsylvania Dutch Engraved Flip Glass c.1820 Mold Blown- Panelled DESCRIPTION Guaranteed to be an authentic antique. Of the period, made c.1820. Made expressely for German Americans. While most folks like to think these early flip glasses were made by the Stiegel Glass Works here in Manheim. This one is delightful, and has the requisite ring of rough grayish glass around the rough pontil scar. Set of 2 Galloway Emerald Green Herringbone Flip Glass Tumblers 3-3/4" Tall
SET OF 2 GALLOWAY HERRINGBONE FLIP GLASSES A set of emerald green herringbone flip glasses. They appear to be Galloway glass but cannot verify. These glasses have the bubbles and imperfections of blown glass. One has a partial area of discoloration that at first glance looks to be a minor crack. However upon closer inspection I've determined is more likely a line where the color has a minor change. The pattern is herringbone running vertically. There is a seam that was probably the result of a mold being placed on the hot glass to produce the pattern. It does not run through the glass and does not appear to be the type of seam seen on commercial pieces. These two glasses have all the signs of handblown glass. The color is a rich deep emerald green. 3-3/4" tall. 2-3/4" across at the lip. SHIPPING WILL USUALLY BE PRIORITY OR FIRST ... moreCLASS. Antique Flip Glass- Stiegel Type, Hand Blown, Engraved, Green Tint, Circa 1800s
A ntique Stiegel Type Green Tint Copper Wheel Engraved American Hand-Blown Flip Glass with Decorative Tulip and Ferns in Urn/ Basket Motif. Circa 1800s Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This beautiful antique Stiegel Type Flip Glass was found by me hidden in the rafters of a late 1800s house in New England. And was only wiped with a damp cloth to clean. Condition overall is excellent. Which I have tried to capture in the images. The pontil is rough cut, and the glass is a beautiful watery green tint and is moderately to very seedy with bubbles, one of which penetrated the surface during creation(see picture) It appears as a dimple in the surface as shown, and feels nearly smooth to the touch. I am not a glass expert, but I understand that this was not uncommon with this type of glass. Other than that, there are no breaks, cracks, or chips, ... morewhatsoever. Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Measurements are 5.25" tall x 3.75" diameter. Tapering to a 2.50" diameter base. Rest assured that I will take extra care in carefully packaging this for shipment to you. Thanks for looking and for bidding-

Steigel Type Green Flip Glass / Vase w/ 2 Mast Ship Engraving - ca.1890s - 1910s
This is a green Steigel type Flip Glass with two sets of three rings. Flip was a frothy brew served during Colonial times. The glass has a fair amount of seeding(bubbles) But is clear. It has been engraved(wheel, gray cut) with a two masted ship. We assume the cuttings around the ship represent clouds. It has also been engraved around the top edge and in areas near the ship with the type of electric engraving tool that was used during the late 1800s into the early 1900s. You can tell by the lines it left within the work. The glass stands 8" 20.3 cm) tall and measures 6-1/2" 16.5 cm) in diameter at the mouth. The piece is in excellent condition without chips. Antique Flip Glass Hand Blown Etched Design Ships Green Steigel Type
FLIP GLASS*Here is a little history of the flip glass I found on the web- There was a time when this large tumbler would have been immediately recognized as a Flip Glass for serving a popular concoction of the time known as'flip' Flip was a drink composed mostly of bitter beer or cider with eggs. Rum, sometimes cream, sugar, or molasses, maybe dried pumpkin and spices. The recipe varied, but the preparation was the same. First a red hot loggerhead was thrust into the concoction to heat it and create the foamy lather characteristic of flip. This odd drink was known for its burnt and bitter taste. During revolutionary times, a loggerhead was kept in the fire at almost every hearth, which inspired James Lowell to write these lines: Where dozed a fire of beechen logs that bred Strange fancies in its embers golden-red, And nursed the loggerhead. ... moreWhose hissing dip, timed by wise instinct. Creamed the bowl of flip" This lovely example of early glass. Known as a flip glass, is a type of wheel etched glass made by William Henry Steigel. Steigel was the most well known producer of flip glasses with glassworks in Manheim, Pennsylvania. The factory employed more than 130 skilled glass workers, most from Europe. The Steigel Glassworks produced wares from 1763-1774. although similar wares were produced in other glassworks including those abroad, pieces such as this flip glass are commonly referred to as Steigel type glasses. The decorative copper wheel-etched design on the glass is naive and folksy. The etched design features a twin-masted sailing ship surrounded by etched birds above the ship and two sailors that are out of scale with the rest of the composition. The water is pictured as a series of fanciful waves and the rim of the glass is encircled with a simple scalloped design. I looked it over well and could find no issues with this piece. The pontil is rough. And the glass is seedy with lots of bubbles. Measures approximately 5-1/4" tall, 3 1/2" in diameter at the top, and 2-5/8" in diameter
