this little beauty is un-identified so far it is a very odd size and shape but it's beautifully made and the wood. This style of Dolphin Candle Stick is shown in Ruth Webb's Sandwich Glass book as possibly Midwestern. I have seen this style stick represented as a New England Glass piece as well as Boston& Sandwich. So. I guess, take your pick.either or. this PAIR is most likely an early, mid 19th century piece. It has a wafer construction and the top of the socket is a bit sloping/uneven. There is a chunk of"frit" in the glass of the socket and many, many straw marks on the base- typical for this type of crafted glass. this is a stunning very rare Dav Art figural fiddle player candelabra. it is very ornate and made from solid cast iron i believe with a brass finish. it is very heavy and made very well with a cut crystal dish right under the floral candle holder. the fiddle player is 3 dimensional and is sitting playing with a beautiful white face. he sits on a beautifully footed circular base which is signed on the bottom. i believe it was made from mid 20's to 1930. it measures 14 x 6 inches and in good shape. there is only a little ware on bottom of feet. nice rare figural candle holder. 6 inch high Sterling Silver Candle Stick Holders EMPIRE BIRKS?
These are 2 silver candle stick holders approximately 6 1/4 inches high. They compliment the shorter candle sticks that I am also selling as I used to have the four on the dinner table at the same time. They were also a wedding gift. I believe they are from BIRKS as well since I got them together however they are stamped differently as EMPIRE STERLING. FIGUTER. 6 2 0. NOW THE'F LINE IS A GUESS as I am working with what I can make out. There is also a spot where a sticker was which I think was a blue BIRKS sticker. The candle stickers smooth and sleek. The diameter of the base is 3 1/4 inches 6 rims or grooves to the center of the base where the stamp is. The top of the base has 2 rings on the outer border and then goes smooth to the stick part where it pinches in. As it goes up. It slopes out again to a 1 inch diameter rim with 4 graduated ... morerings that go smooth into the pinch again and then into the candle holder that is 1 1/2 inches high. This part is smooth and then 5 rims to candle slot 3/4 inch deep and it is grooved. base- 1 1/2 inch. Stem 2 inches to decorative rim. Stem 1 inch after rim to holder base. There are two items included with this auction The first is a 4 1/2" tall candy dish. It is stamped"Crosby Sterling Weighted on the bottom. Not sure of the age but we have had it for quite a while. On the bottom there appears to be some denting. Not sure how that happened or if it is supposed to be that way. Up for sale is a vintage antique 20th Century metal single candle stick recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It has a grape or maple leaf decorated base. The candle would be held in what appears to be a flower bud. The base has a screw thread where the candle holder is attached. There is no manufacturing information or numbers. It measures approx. 5 3/4" x 3 7/8" x 6 1/2. It will accommodate candle with a 3/4" diameter. A nice heavy weight antique base. Very decorative and quite useful. This Dutch miniature candlestick or taper holder is clean and simple. It is weighted with wax. The top of the base is hallmarked with the Dutch lion rampant indicating.934/1000 silver content. A mark that we cannot make out, the date mark"G" for 1841 and the marker's mark"AWB" unidentifiable by us. The candlestick is 2 1/2” tall. 2 1/2” wide at the foot and weighs 2.5 oz. on our postal scale. It is in very good used antique condition. My guess is about 2 oz) its 5 inches high the base is 3.75 x 2.5 inches its signed E.P in a diamond shape and stamped 950 silver ++ This is a logo- it does NOT mean electoplated- The Candle sticks were tested 2x by stone- I do not test my precious metal on the metal- the color was dark thick burgundy-I will assure you this has tested better than sterling silver. because- its BETTER than sterling its 950(95% silver) as opposed to sterling is 925(92.5% silver) It looks like early 1980s style. holds candles 7/8 diameter My research has guided me to find that the E.P in a diamond logo is a vintage brand from Japan.
