Antique frame! Hi, I am selling a gorgeous antique oval frame with gesso detail! It is very orn ate. Gold color trim with gold and whitewashed gesso throughout. The glass is in excellent condition. Just a couple pinhead size paint drips. Can be scraped off, barely there. The gesso is chipped away in spots. See pics, I love it this way: Has the original wire hanger on back. And som eone also added a sawtooth hanger. I think it would also be wonderful as a vanity tray. Just remove the nail and glue the glass to the frame! Beautiful Ornate Gold Gesso Antique 19thC Frame 18" x 22"
This is a Beautiful Frame 19th Century Gold Ge sso Frame. I t does have some Gesso Loss at the Bottom right and Top Left but it really does not distract from the beauty of th is piece. It begs to have a piece of fine art placed in it. It mea sures about 18" x 22" for the Interior Portion and add about 2" for the rest of the frame. Here is a beautiful antique picture frame that I found at auction recently and had to buy. It is in excellent condition for such an old frame. It is around 19 by 25 on the outside and will accomodate a 13 by 19 oval picture. The center piece in it is now a piece of embroidered cloth mounted on a piece of cardboard. This frame is in such great condition that I see no chips or scratches. And someone put some kind of gold foil on the round knobs on each design. You can see that in the closeup pictures, it makes that part look like real gold. This is just a really nice old frame that will make a great compliment for that special picture you've been saving. WOW! What a beautiful old picture frame! I think is from Portugal. I say this because I have a huge mirror with the same decorative style border and made from the same gold colored brass(or bronze) material. It has a sticker on it that says where it is from. I have looked this frame over and over and find no mark or such sticker. I figured they had a sticker on it(like my mirror does) and the sticker is just gone. Anyway. It is for an 8X10 photo but the actual measurements of the frame are 13X11. This is such a pretty frame, and in really great vintage condition! No damage I can see. Lovely Roses adorn the border all the way around. Each rose has a heart around it. How sweet! There are two rubber tips on the feet to prevent furniture scratches, but these can be removed if desired. This is a handmade frame and that is obvious with close observation. ... moreIntense detailing, even on the reverse side of the frame design. Velvet backed slide out piece. The only flaw is with the old glass. One corner is broken and it is pictured in the last photo. Now when the glass is in the frame- it covers the break and you do not see it. If you look at the photos it looks like there are several cracks in the glass, but there is not! What you see are lines on the cardboard backround, NOT cracks in the glass. Except for the broken edge corner, the glass is in really good condition for the age. Very clear with few scratches. I have other frames and things for auction now so please check out my other items. We are pleased to offer this very beautiful. C1920, antique frame. This frame offers solid gilt wood with gesso acanthus leaf accents in the corner sections. The frame features an outer design of small cut/incised acanthus leaves. There is a unique cut pattern to the wood in the center sections of the frame which gives it a"brushed" gold appearance. The inner section features small cut beads. The frame is very European in style and design. It is very beautiful and in very good condition. There are some very minor surface cracks to the gesso, as it quite common with pieces this old. They do not extend below the surface and do not affect the stability of the gesso. They are very hard to discern except upon very close inspection. The frame does not show its age at all and the gilted finish is incredible. The frame had an old picutre ... morein it which was not in good condition. There are traces of the old paper backing to the back of the frame. The frame retains the hangers and wire. This is a nice sized frame. The outer measurements are 24" x32" The inner dimensions are 20"x26" The frame is 1.25" in thickness at the corners and.75" elsewhere. antique , German Bisque Vase from late 1800's.very Beautiful......
This is a very old. Very beautiful, Bisque vase,of a woman, and a child sitting on a bench, under a tree. I purchased the vase from an estate sale, about thirty years ago. It really is quite lovely. The vase is 10" tall, and approx. 7" at the widest part. The marking on the back makes me think that it is from Gafenthal, Germany, and possibly an Unger Schneider piece. There is a G, with arrows through it, followed by Dep and number 673, although it does not say Germany. I just noticed after carefully looking it over that he has the last two fingers on the left hand broken off. it is not noticeable from the front, if you look at it from the side you can see it. I will add a photo of his hand. There is very little damage, considering it's age. We are pleased to offer this antique to older vintage. Hand crafted, solid wood, collage picture frame. This grand and heavy frame features thick oak construction(no veneer) with an overall rectangular design. The frame has 12 large carved individual frames inside the outer frame which are set in 4 vertical rows of 3 horizontal frames. Each frame has an oval opening and, because of the thickness of the wood, the picture sits very recessed inside the opening. There is a beautiful, arts and crafts style carving, burned or incised pattern that surrounds each individual opening and makes each one seem independent of the other. There is a scalloped border around each oval opening. Inside the scalloped design are very petite flowers. The frame is further divided with straight line incisions. Petite flowers and leaves accent the lines at each intersection. ... moreThis is a gorgeous frame and quite nicely made. It has been refinished at some point and is in very good condition. This is a beautiful antique picture in glass which I have owned and loved for many many years. My house is very small and so I decided to sell some items. I do not know the name for this kind of art in glass but the picture is lovely. It is all in browns and depicts a tree lined country road leading to a lovely old home. it is in good condition for its age. It has a little of what may be water damage to the corner(see pictures) but I did not notice this until I took it off the wall. it is ready to hang. It measures 26" long x 13 3/4" wide. Very little wear/tear, the frame is 2" wide around the edges, the glass looks to be fine, the back has the old paper that seems to be attached to the backing of the print, has the original eye loops, the wire is old, but looks at some point to have been replaced. The picture is a print that looks wavy inside the frame and not in very good condition. But the frame is the most collectible. This is a very unique antique wooden frame that has a carved wooden red firecracker on the bottom of the frame. The inner frame has a raised gold gilt ridge which is worn. The print is a beautiful Chinese child. We assume the print is original to the frame. The back of the frame is exposed. The frame is probably early 20th century. The frame is in good condition. There are a few stains which can be seen in the photos, but these just add to the patina and the charm of this antique piece. The red firecracker seems to denote the Chinese New Year celebrations. Cool rope design that compliments the print perfect! Overall great condition with one chip at the very bottom right corner(image#7) Houses an original early 1900's print of a Pretty Blonde Lady in a blue dress with a Quarter Horse. TITLED: FROM OLD OHIO. Copyright 1909 bottom left. Excellent rich colors and the clouds look real! There are a few small edge tears but this does not take away from its beauty. As you can see!
