Vintage Antique Oval Wooden Picture Frame Bubble Glass 23" tall
Large wooden frame is 23X16 and about 1/2" deep. Painted two shades of green with oval bubble glass intact. It had been reversed painted and the previous owner has started to remove it with I think he said acetone. Sure it would be fairly easy to do. The frame itself is about 2" wide around the front and glass opening is about 19X13. Really a nice piece waiting for a new picture.

Set of 4 Antique Swinging Wooden Picture Frames 1920's
4 Antique wooden picture frames. 3 are swinging/tilt frames. And the fourth has a felted easel. The easel frame is marked"OrnaWood. They contained pictures of my great-grandparents, dating to the early 20th Century, but I'm now storing these in albums. Two of them have the glass(original) One of them(the octagonal one) is really delicate, but if you are careful with it, many years of use left. They are really great. This is a very haunting picture of a plain victorian woman. I think its a hand tinted photograph of some kind but i'm really not sure. The pose is formal and her expression is truly somber. The brooch at her throat is very nice. The carved wooden frame is possibly Eastlake? It is very ornate it has a carved floral motif that has bits of color in the flowers and leaves. There are also areas of heavy gilt. There is some damage to the frame, it has some cracks in the wood but is all together. The backing is intact. 21&3/4"L x 12&1/2"W.

Large Antique Pre 1900 Intricately Detailed Wooden Picture Frame
This is a quite large. Nicely detailed and very old wooden picture frame. This frame dates back to the late 1800's at least. I can attest to this as this frame and picture was in my family and I know who the picture is of. This frame measures about 30" tall and 25.5" wide. It has a glass pane covering the picture. The picture is held in place with old brad style nails. This frame is in pretty decent condition for as old as it is. The outside framework has a few spots where the finish is off but all the finely detailed inner framework looks very good. It could possibly use a little firming up by whoever buys it although it should hang well just as it is. Antique Wooden Gingerbread Fretwork Standing Frame with Doors Damaged
I went to an estate sale. I saw this. Isn't it beautiful. The art and craftsmanship is wonderful. After I bought it. I realized it didn't have the right side. This is just too pretty. It measures 12" tall x 6 3/4" wide(counting the loss of side, and counting the flared bottom leg) The picture measurements are 5 1/2" tall x 3 3/4" wide inside opening. Let's start- the doors work. I love the tacks on each up/down wood line. The doors are held on with wooden circles and wooden dowels. The door on the right top has a crack probably from what made the side break off. There is a crack in the main frame on the bottom left door hinge. Main frame- small piece missing off- 1) bottom left under hinges at bottom 2) top left# mark 3) entire right side of course. Back has stand that has been re-aligned. It probably came ... moreoff and couldn't be put back in same holes. Bottom legs look like thin cracks in them. Old wood is brittle. If you put a picture in and leave the doors open, others may not notice the right loss. I didn't. It is so ornate that I fixed on the beauty of the tiny carving then on the loss. It is up to you. I want someone who loves it like I do. It is a piece of history now. Weighs 6 oz. total. I still would have to bind it and wrap it well with the brittle wood. Any questions. Ask. Antique Victorian Picture Photo Frame Griffin Heraldic Lion Wood Wooden 4.75x8
This is a beautiful antique wooden frame that likely dates from the Victorian Era. On the front is carved what appears to be a griffin or heraldic lion; it is quite ornate and aesthetically pleasing. It will hold photos that are up to 8 1/8" tall and 4.75" wide. The photo is inserted into a slit on the top. It is 6 3/8" from the bottom of the photo"drop" to the top of the viewer frame. Which means if the photo is 6 3/8" high it will reach the top of the viewer frame. It can be up to 8 1/8" high and still be held behind the wood. The frame opening is about 3 5/8" x 5 3/8" The entire frame is 8"x10" Some of the hardware on the back looks to have been added later. The frame has some wear from handling and use. It is structurally sound, but on one side the pieces of wood are separating(see ... morephoto) Again, though, it is structurally sound. This would make an ideal decor item. Beautiful antique or vintage gold gilted wooden frame with early George Inness print This frame is really nice and in fairly good condition for age. I'm not sure how to best describe the design. So am showing lots of pictures. The frame margin is approxl 1 1/2" wide. The frame measures approx. 15" wide and 11" tall. There are a couple of small areas of missing gilt, including upper right corner, but could easily be repaired. The frame has nice old glass. The print in the frame is called"Peace and Plenty" by George Inness. A beautiful picture of a harvest scene. This It is marked on the back of the frame. Beautiful. Unique picture frame. Frame itself measures outside 7"x9" Holding a picture 1/2" smaller in both dimensions. Swivels within the stand. The base measures 2 1/2" x 10 1/4" The felt on the base is well-worn. Overall height is 10" Upper left corner is not tight. Not flimsy. But not pulled together. Overall very sturdy. Swivels easily, but not loose and flimsy. The finish has golden highlights. Some of the finished has rubbed nearly off- check the lower corners. Some scratches. The back is almost unfinished. Large Oval Antique Brass Picture Frame with Tin Back and Wooden "stretcher" 20"
20" long and 14" wide. The frame has no damage. The tin back is solid. The wooden"stretcher" has canvas on it and looks like someone did paint something on there. But then it was covered with gesso. Can either be painted over, or just remove the canvas and put your own on, or just use the wood for backing.

Antique Large Wooden Picure Frame with Glass
Up for grabs is a large antique wooden picture frame with glass and cardboard backing. The frame itself measures about 26.5"x24" and fits a 17.25" x14.25" picture. The frame is very solid. It does show some wear in spots. Could use some touch up paint here and there. The outer trim has minor crackling and the inner trim has a very small missing piece in the corner. There is some gaps where the corners meet, but it is still very sturdy! The glass is cut a little smaller then it should of been. There is a mold mark in the corner of the glass, and the edges have some wear. The original print that was in the frame was dated 1908! Antique Art Nouveau Wooden Picture Frame With Raised Fan & Bird Heads
Such a beautiful frame- Estate find. Very dark brown to black wood. All the designs on front are raised wood- gold in color. At top of frame is an ornate hand held fan that has ropes coming off of it in four directions and connecting to 2(one on each side of glass) gothic looking bird heads. Really neat! There is wood beading/trim around the glass- also gold in color. Some of the beading has some small nicks(see photos) Some nicks around edge of frame and backside. Glass intact. The picture inside frame is just a piece of paper and the backing is a small piece of aged cardboard. There are 2 old screws with wire for hanging. The frame measures approx 11" tall x 13" wide. This is a oval antique picture frame with an old woman's photograph. The photograph is an old time black and white picture. The frame is brownish with gold trim. The gold trim is on the"wood" but on the inner part of the frame. It is gold tone. Not real gold. It may be gold paint. I am not sure what the frame is made out of but I would venture to guess it is wooden. It is possible that it is chalk but I did not want to tear the back of the frame up simply to find out if it is made of any chalk. The picture frame measures approximately 8. 75 inches in height. The condition of this item is what I would call very good but not perfect, by any means since it is an antique.
