Ornate Antique Victorian Carved Oak Wood Picture Frame
The outer dimensions of this antique frame are approx. 21 3/4" x 25 3/4" The inside dimensions. What size print will fit, are approx. 14 1/2" x 18 1/2" of course, you could also use a mat) The ornate borders are wood, most of the ones you find have a plaster or gesso that is molded to shape. I would assume that this was not an inexpensive frame in it's day. It is in super condition, with only very slight blemishes- VERY slight. Thanks for viewing this auction.

It is 9 5/8" across 11 5/8" tall the molding is 1 1/2" wide and it would fit a picture 7 1/16" by 9 1/16" The frame shows some wear from use. A few bumps and scuffs, and a corner bump, and the wood is dry, it could use some oil or a polish.

Antique Arts And Crafts Handcarved Oak Picture Frame With Painted Shields
This is a great looking antique Arts and Crafts handcarved picture frame with painted shields. I would date it very early 20th century. The carved pieces remind me of American flag shields. But I'm really not sure what they represent. It's a very decorative frame with a very handsome look about it. It has a number of great old wormholes or beetle holes on the bottom area. But the bugs are gone. There is a chipped piece of carving on the left side. As you can see in the photo. It is about 3/8 inches wide. Also. The bottom right-hand corner has a slight chip on the corner, also shown in a photo. The carved out areas of the frame are framed themselves by solid boarders which gives this frame a rich aesthetic feel. The very inner portion of the frame has what I think is a thin gesso area which nicely compliments the larger areas of ornate carvings. The approximate outside dimensions are: 29 3/4" x 25 1/2" The approximate picture viewing area dimensions are: 19 1/2" x 15 1/2" The frame does have a few minor dings and a crack(upper right corner) Considering its age. It is in marvelous condition. The watercolor painting comes with the frame. It is signed by a Hazel Taylor of whom I am not familiar with. Antique Large Fumed Oak Two Piece Shadow Box Picture Frame
A nice antique shadow box frame. This has two parts. The decorative inner frame inserts into the outer frame. The glass is cut to the rabbet opening of the outer frame so the inner frame is completely under glass. both pieces have a fumed black oak finish. The overall dimensions are 20 by 16 inches. The inner frame will fit a standard 12 by 16 inch work with a rabbet opening of 12 1/4 by 16 1/4 inches. The rabbet is cut to 1/4 inches. Nice condition overall with very modest loss to the finish(mostly on the edges from rubbing) and scuffs here and there. Very presentable as is and displays very nicely. Rare Old Beauty. Mission Oak Wood Picture frame with Original Glass. I am not a pro or familiar with old frames. Or the terms, so I will simply explain this frame in my own words.The color is Outstanding deep and glorious, aged from the slow passing of time that has only added to its distinct character. The color has taken a century to perfect, a glorious patina, in the full sunlight it is a rich burnt honey, And indoors with a bit indirect lighting it takes on a glowing sorrel/ honey brown, illuminating it to it's fullest potential, the old dings and knick's have darkened adding a character unto itself. It is beautifully trimmed in black all around outside and around inside as well. It has the original glass, one can detect the faint wavy quality. Frame is sturdy and solid, however it does have inner corner separation,I imagine from age, shrinkage. But it has not increased nor changed since I have had it which has been over 30 yrs. When I was displaying this I simply covered frame back so no light shows thru gaps. There is NO warping, frame will lay perfectly flat. There are scuffs, scratches, and the outer black trim has wear at corners, but as you can see in photos it does not take away from frames natural beauty or Superb display value.If wanted you can have these touched up, However I found they add to its history. Antique Early 1900's ARTS & CRAFTS MISSION OAK PICTURE FRAME With Portrait Photo
Nice antique Arts& Crafts Mission Oak picture frame with portrait. The frame has a glass front that is free of damage. It may need a quick spray of Windex from the inside. The oak is all in great shape considering the age of this piece. Very minor bumps here and there. Nothing unexpected, and could probably be buffed out if you thought it was needed. This piece may be a great piece to put your own photo in! The frame itself measures 22" X 26. The inside of the frame measures roughly 15.5" X 19.5. And the matted oval where the picture photo is displayed measures 13.5" X 17.5. The top of the frame is very slightly pulling away from the sides. This is a very nice larger frame the size of it is 26 1/2" by 21 1/2" It has the gesso on it and some of that is missing small pieces, if you look close you will find them, it is still a very nice frame for your picture or old family portrait, The size of picture that will go in it is 21" by 16" There is no glass with the frame. Vintage Antique Solid Oak Wood Picture Frame Lot Deep Gold Gilt Arts Crafts
These vintage solid oak wood frames measure a little over 6 x 7 inches with a 4 1/2 x 5 1/2 gold gilt ribbet. They are 1 1/2 inches deep from top to back bottom and come with their original back hanging wire and hooks. They are open frames with no glass. Their wood grain is just wonderful(I added a touch of wood oil to show the grain) Two of them have a little bit of pink writing on the top which I believe could be removed(looks like maybe someone wrote a price of 99 cents with a crayon type pencil) They are super study solid wood frames. Large Antique Gold Gesso Double Oak Wood Picture Frame 4 Layer Ornate Victorian!
Just cleaned out of an old 1800's home is a very nice antique Oak& Gold Gesso antique picture frame. Attic where found was nice and dry no mildew or dampness on this one! Measures 32" Tall and is x 27 3/4" wide. opening in the back for your picture. Print, etc. is 16" wide by 20" tall. This beautiful frame is in four layers of oak and gorgeous gold gesso measuring a bit over 5" wide all around. Great condition with one small spot about 3/4" of gold flecked off on bottom right hand corner can see in pic, could be touched up easily. Not distracting at all, This is in very good condition for most that Ive seen in this size. Glass is in perfect condition with no chips or cracks. This picture looks great hanging just about anywhere. Very ornate frame that grabs your attention. Nice dark bron scroll design ... moreon outer edge. Could use a light cleaning due to being stored for so many years, it is failry shiny but a light coat of linseed oil would make this look like ir was just made, will leave that up to buyer.
