I'm told this type of glass is known as Stiegel type. And it's in excellent condition and as bright as a button with no damage, clouding or significant wear. Offered is an exquisite. Vintage Sherry Decanter with six Sherry Glasses. This set is in green with a gold encrusted design around each glass and the decanter. A gold rim is around the base of each piece. Decanter is 11-1/2" in height with a jug like handle and a beautiful stopper. The glasses are each 4" in height by 1-7/8" round, sitting on a 2" base. However, not noticeable at a glance. Inside the stopper area the glass is cloudy and the inside is dirty at the bottom. For it's age, very nice condition. I think it is from the late 1800's, however, I really am not sure. The paint is nice and it is a very attractive item. It is hand blown glass and there is a sticker on the bottom that I cannot remove. This auction is for the beautiful bud vase pictured. It is in the excellent condition shown. This vase shades from clear or an extreme light green to a wonderful darker green. It is very difficult to determine if it shades from clear or a very light green to the darker green. It appears different in different lighting. I think it is clear. Please see pictures. They are the best description. This vase measures approx. 3 1/2 inches tall. 2 7/8ths across the top, 3 1/4 inches lengthwise and 1 7/8th inches wide at the base. A beautiful hand blown whimsey vase. This set is one of the older ones.The detail on the figures are very good in the faces and the clothes have the'cameo three dimensional effect' of the older pieces. The newer pieces do not have this fine detail in the white figures. They are also light as older pieces were mouth blown into a mold and not machined molded as later repos were. These are in very good condition. No chips, cracks or crazing. They also have the deeper emerald green color.Mary Gregory died in 1908, so these are early. She did at one time work for the Sandwich Glass Company. Please ask any questions you may have. I have had these in my collection for quite a number of years and enjoyed them. Thank you for looking
