With one small chip to the bottom rim, and roughness and discoloration to the hand ground neck(which appears to have had a cork or fabric strip surrounding the outside) This strip would have held the lid tightly. And it is currently ever so slightly loose. The domed lid is unadorned but for the monogram. And has two small dimples to the top. VERY RARE Antique Vintage Victorian Silver Thimble Etui cut glass scent bottle
Incredible silver Thimble forming a case(étui) discretely hiding a miniature cut glass bottle to hold scent or perfume. To perhaps refresh the'Lady' while sewing? There are no hallmarks that I can see but a Jeweller has assured me it is solid Silver. Similarly there is no size marked on the Thimble- Measurements: Diameter base thimble 1.6cms Diameter base etui 1.8cms Diameter crown of Thimble 1.2cms Height thimble 2.5cms Height étui 3.5cms The Thimble& Etui are in Excellent condition. Just the silver could do with some polishing, but I would rather leave that to the'experts' See the pretty engraved pattern around the center of the Thimble with also a'shield' engraved ready for initials! The Thimble screws onto the base holding the scent bottle. This screw works perfectly. The indentations on the base ... moreof the Etui I feel sure are there for a reason. But I have found no information about them. The Miniature cut glass bottle has 9 facets with more. Even smaller, shoulder' facets. The stopper is in perfect condition and if you look closely you will see a pattern built into the top from air bubbles. I presume. The lower part of the stopper has been ground so as to fit well. Which it does. TRULY A RARE ITEM! Have fun bidding! I'm in France at present so postage to the UK will take a couple of days longer. I shall be sending it by trackable post.

Antique 19th Century MISSION Victorian Brass & Cut Glass OIL LAMP Font NICE
I was told this is an antique whale oil lamp font. It looks like one of those old french oil lamps to me. I'm not a lamp expert! It measures 5" tall from where the burner screws on to the bottom. It is 3 1/2" diameter across the bottom. The brass and the glass are quite heavy and the diamond pattern has been cut into the glass. Not pressed. The glass is perfect with no cracks or chips or scratches. The brass has some tarnish on it, but hey, it's old. The part that the burner screws onto is exactly 1" outside diameter. It has 2 numbers on the glass on the bottom, or a symbol and a number. The first number or symbol is unreadable because the glass design cuts into it. Victorian Antique Cut Glass DISH BOWL on footed stem. Pickles, Sweetmeat. vgc
A large and substantial, 19th century cut glass bowl on heavy foot and stem. This is an individually mouth-blown. Handmade piece. A stunning centrepiece. Possibly intended for pickles or sweetmeats. Over-large for an individual bowl. Could be used as a rose bowl. Would make a great addition to a Victorian glass collection! The base and stem are plain; the bowl is of clear glass. With deep cutting in a simple style. Ovals and narrow leaf-shapes. The bowl and the foot ha ve been joined at either end of the stem. All the glass is of a substantial thickness. Appropriate to the size of the item. There are one or two very tiny bubbles in the glass, and a larger one. Just off-centre, in the base which can be seen looking down through the stem. The bowl is certainly hand-made and has som e age to it. There is a realistic amount of very fine grazing ... morearound the edge of the base. A great piece to acquire for a 19th century collection. Antique Stained Glass, Cobalt Cut to Clear, Boston Trolley Window Pane
This framed pane of stained glass measures 6 5/8 inches by 5 1/4 inches. The simple painted wooden frame has a tiny metal ring affixed at the top to allow the pane to be hung up. The glass is cobalt blue. Cut to clear in the design of a harp with flowers and vines. We were told that this pane of glass once decorated a 19th century Boston Trolley car. The condition is excellent. There are no chips or cracks. The cuts made by the glazier to reveal the pattern can be felt on the reverse. The front of the pane is smooth. It is unsigned. The slender frame appears to be circa 1900. The mid-19th century pane has numerous tiny imperfections such as bubbles and stretch marks often seen in antique glass. For auction this stunning antique Victorian Art Nouveau Aesthetic Movement Silver Plate& Cut-Glass Claret Jug Decanter- c 1860- 1890. Super fine workmanship and a beautiful Claret Jug Decanter with top quality well executed decoration. Hand Blown glass body with fine quality wheel-cut cross-hatch decoration and a silver plated britannia metal spout. Collar, handle and belt. Very much in the Victorian Aesthetic Movement style, with stylised double branched bamboo handle and waist ring, bright-cut floral aesthetic collar decoration, triple scalloped shell finial and dome lid and fan shell pouring spout. The claret jug decanter is in general good antique condition. Commensurate with materials, great age and use.clean& bright. The cut-glass body is quite clean and bright with just very minor light residue within the jug. The cut-glass ... moredecoration is crisp and clear with only minor light wear and tiny marks. The only real issue worth noting is one 1/2in(1.3cm) chip to the lower base rim edge, please see the very close-up photograph. The spout. Collar, handle and mount have no damage with a super antique patina, the silver plate has all but gone and rubbed away leaving a super Britannia Metal antique pewter patina. Estate Find ~ Antique Cut Glass Syrup Pitcher
Please scan below description to read shipping fees/details ~ thanks Light up your table with this lovely antique cut glass syrup jug measuring approx. 3-1/4" highest x 3-1/2" widest across the front including the handle. The cut glass portion itself is 3-1/8" wide. The cut design is almost pineapple like. I am not an expert on glass or other items we sell but I will describe what I see when I look at the item and you can follow along with the photos provided. The cover raises with minimal thumb pressure to the little tab on top. This is a cute piece to spice up your breakfast or brunch party! Condition: There are NO cracks. The stopper mirrors the bottles pattern. Finished in a hexagonal shape with every second panel etched with a miniature version of grape bunches, foliage& vines, of the body. Stunning Tall Antique Glass Decanter 25" Austrian Crystal Molded Hand-Cut
Incredible Austrian glass decanter. Over 2 feet tall! My guess is that it's molded glass, with hand-cut crosshatching and details. The previous owners said it was from Austria. Looks like it was made 1920-1940's. Approximately 6" wide at its widest. So beautiful and elegant. There is some hand water staining inside, I washed it recently with some vinegar but haven't tried to scrub the white traces of the hard water from the inside, I think it either needs scrubbing or to sit with vinegar inside for several days. I'm moving and won't be permanently settled for a while so I don't want to carry this around with me and risk damage, it's an incredible piece, I've never seen a decanter so tall! Antique Frosted Glass Bowl Yellow & Orange Cut to Clear w Black Accents
This is an antique glass bowl frosted on the outside with a bright orange band in the center of the yellow. And black rings in between. The orange is cut to clear in a flower pattern. The bowl measures 9.5 inches across and 3 1/8 inches tall. It is in great shape with no chips, cracks or damage. A Pair of Antique Victorian Cut Glass Sweetmeat Dishes with Van Dyke Rims c.1860
A pair of mid Victorian cut glass sweetmeat or bonbon dishes dating around 1860. These items were also sometimes used as master salts at the dinner table. This pair are of good quality and were possibly manufactured the Richardson’s glass factory. The dishes have shallow bowls and rims cut in the Van-Dyke form and there are lens cuts around the bowls. The stems are hollow blown and cut and the feet are star cut and scalloped to the outside edges. Please note due to their hand made nature there are slight differences in size. Stock Code: 7603 AP12-5 Height 11.5 cms(4.5 inches) Width 12 cms(4.75 inches) Weight 508 grams(before packing) Both in good order for period and appear little used overall.
