Pair Matching Antique Vtg Victorian Deep Walnut Carved Gold Gilt Picture Frames
We have for sale a Pair of Matching Antique Vintage Victorian Deep Walnut Carved Gold Gilt Picture Frames. First of all they are 17 ¾ inches by 15 ¾ inches(outside) 9 ¾ inches by 7 ¾ inches(image area) They are in very nice condition, but not perfect. They do have some rubs, minor nicks, and some discoloration in the gold areas. These were purchased at an estate sale. They do each have glass in them, with a wood backing, ready for you to add your favorite photo or painting. The outside frame itself is 4 inches in width and 3 ¾ inches thick. It is actually 3 frames together, the inner frame being the gold gilt. You have a nice 1 ½ inch black carved portion, setting off the two gold frames. I believe these frames could be touched up a little or even left as they are for that nice vintage look. A $1.85 has been ... moreadded to your shipping for insurance. I am offering for auction an absolutely beautiful ANTIQUE GESSO& WOODEN FRAMED VICTORIAN LITTLE GIRL PRINT HOLDING A SPRIG OF HOLLY This piece is lovely and in very good used condition. I am not an expert of art. But, I would date this print and frame to the late 19th or perhaps the early 20th century. The frame is lovely with deep well effect. There is one area on the bottom where some of the gold has chipped off, very small and hard to see as someone tried to cover it. This could easily be repaired and covered. The original back has been replaced. The print is lovely of a little bright eyed girl in what appears to be Victorian dress and hat. Overall measures 25 1/2" tall by 19 1/4" wide and 2 1/2" deep. Fresh from the wall of an upstate New York Victorian home is this beautiful Victorian carved wood round mirror with gold gilt and patina. This is quite a lovely piece. I acquired this at sale of the estate. It was said to be late 19th century. Certainly no later than 1910. We are unsure of the age of the glass. The viewing surface has all the oxidation wear of a vintage old glass mirror. The back of the mirror is pristine. We are unsure if this is because this mirror hung undisturbed for a generation in the same spot or if the glass was replaced. The star of this sale is of course the carved wooden frame. But otherwise they are in very good condition. They're a really pretty pair of frames. With wonderful detail. The inside section is partially gold gilded and partially painted gold. The exterior section is molded gesso over wood with copper and bronze color metallic leaf. Popular during the anesthetic movement period. This is a gorgeous antique Victorian style picture frame from around the 1890s. Gorgeous Antique 19th Century Victorian Gold Gilt Frame
This is a truly stunning antique late 19th century Victorian gold gilt frame. This frame will bring any oil painting you have alive! The overall frame measures 22 1/8 inches x 19 5/8 inches(56.2 cm x 50 cm) The back opening measures 10 3/4 inches x 8 1/4 inches(27.3 cm x 21 cm) The width is an incredible 6 inches(15.2 cm) It is made from three sections to form a super wide frame. It has some minor damage. One inside corner has a missing piece of composition about one quarter inch(64 cm) wide and the other corner has a tiny crack in it about 1 inch long(2.54 cm) There are a couple of pieces chipped off the composition and a very small amount of touchup in one corner on the outside. Shaped outer framing with inner frame or liner as a flat piece of wood with an oval deeply cut out to form the opening. The four corners of the flat liner have inscribed lines that form scrolls and framing of black lacquering and gilt lines. The inside of the oval opening is deeply recessed with gold gilding. FANTASTIC best describe this wonderful Victorian shadow box frame. The frame is done with gold gilt and grained painted walnut burl that looks so real it is hard to tell the them apart. I still am not sure it is grained painted or not. So to be safe I will call it graine painted. The old Litho print is juat as great as the frame. The outside frame measures 14 3/8" x 12 1/2" The frame is as seen. With chips to the gesso and tarnish to the gold gilt. All this gives this frame a great look for sure. Antique Victorian Girl w/ Dog Litho Print in Ornate Gold Gilt Wood & Gesso Frame
This is a fantastic antique lithograph print of a young girl playing with her teddy bear and her dog. The colors are beautiful and bold but may be slightly faded. And look excellent in the gold gilt frame. The print is slightly wavy but does not have any creases or tears, or water damage. The frame is in good condition with some small chips of gesso missing that are not obvious because they have been touched up with gold paint. The entire frame looks like it may have been re-painted at one time but still looks slightly darkened from age. The glass, print, and cardboard back panel are held snugly in place with some wooden slats that are nailed to the back with three pieces of a yard stick placed behind them. There is a wire screwed onto the back for wall hanging. This is an antique framed lithograph print from the early 1900's. The print. Frame, and glass are in very good condition. The print is boldly colored but might be slightly faded. The frame does not have any chips missing but might have minor scuffs or scratches from use. The back has a cardboard panel with manufacturer's label on it, although it is difficult to read. There are tiny square nails all the way around the back holding the cardboard in place. There is a wire screwed on for wall hanging. The outer dimensions of the frame are 21 1/2" x 13 1/2" and the print measures 20" x 12" I will wrap it very well, double box it, and insure it during shipping.

Next a gilt liner, next a black lacquered chip carved liner, next another broad gilt liner. the mats consist of a grey outer mat with shaped and cut out sides, next a vibrant under mat in a dark red velvet and then an inner liner with gold gilt flecks. Most likely they are gesso over wood and then faux grained to look like wood. They are very dark so there is not a lot of detailing in the"wood" itself. Appears to be some early repairs but hard to tell because of the crazing of the gesso/faux wood. Each frame is heavy so hence the attribution to these being gesso covered wood. Antique Victorian Cast Gilt Metal Painted Photo Picture Frame Or Mirror Acanthus
Victorian cast metal or brass that is painted off white picture frame or mirror. The picture frame has very nice rococco style acanthus leaves designs all round and it is self standing with an easel type of metal on the back that folds in or extends out to hold the picture frame in place. The area for a picture or for a mirror has an opening on the front of 3 3/4" X 5 1/2" The measurements of the whole frame are 12" long X 8 1/2" wide. Please note that we are not sure if the off white paint finish is original to the frame or if someone did this at a later date. We do know however. That the frame itself is indeed dating from the Victorian Era. If the new owner wishes to remove the off white paint, the frame would show its gold gilt under coat which is now visible in a few areas here and there where the paint wore off.
