The base of the bell that attaches to ... morethe inside of the door is cast iron and bears no makers name. There are several patent date, but are difficult to read. Also included is the beautifully decorated exterior T- handle lever for ringing the bell when it is lifted up or down. It has no maker or patent date listed. The bell has a loud and clear ring that resonates after being struck inside by the mechanical hammer. The internal mechanism has been cleaned and oiled. The color of the cast brass on the bell is gold color while the T-handle is more to the red shade. The two parts were often made by different companies using different formulations of brass. They were often purchased separately after being selected out of hardware store catalogs. Since each is on a different side of the door. Any differences are seldom seen. Both pieces were professionally polished. But not clear coated to allow the brass to slowly patina in the future. The arm on the T-handle that goes thru the door is 2 7/8 inches long and would accomodate doors up to 2 1/2 inches thick. The bell`s iron base is 6 in. wide from mounting tab to tab. The screw holes are on 5 1/2 in. centers. The brass bell dome and top nut are 2 1/4 in. tall. The brass bell dome is 4 3/4 in. wide. The T-handle plate is 5 3/4 in. long x 2 3/4 in. wide. Its screw holes are on 4 1/4 in. centers. The bell and ringer handle weigh a hefty 2 pounds together. The shipping shown is for any of the 48 continental US states. Featured under the glass is a rectangular photograph lovely young woman in late 1800s or early 1900s clothing and hairstyle. There is a handwritten label on the back which reads"My mother at 18- Mary Ellen Palmer Lind. Wire easel on the back is not original and there is a brass tab missing. Large Oval Antique Brass Picture Frame with Tin Back and Wooden "stretcher" 20"
20" long and 14" wide. The frame has no damage. The tin back is solid. The wooden"stretcher" has canvas on it and looks like someone did paint something on there. But then it was covered with gesso. Can either be painted over, or just remove the canvas and put your own on, or just use the wood for backing.

This antique or vintage oval brass picture frame is 2 ¼ inches wide and 3 inches tall. And the viewable area is about 2 ½ inches tall and a little under 2 inches wide. It has a plain design with a beaded edge. And an easel back for standing. The back and glass just push out of the frame for inserting the picture. This is made from brass. Or a metal with a brass finish, I’m not sure which. The glass has quite a few chips around the edge which for the most part are covered by the frame. But there is one at the top that you can see if you are looking for it– see 2 photos with arrows of this one spot. It is more noticeable in the photos than it looks on the actual frame. The metal has a warm aged color that is darkened and somewhat uneven. Overall good vintage condition on this charming little frame. Beautiful brass oval frame with convex glass and a steel backing plate. Leaf branch on top right and bottom left of the frame are solid brass. Photo of a woman shown is original to the frame. In excellent condition and is not adhered to the glass. Frame can be hung either vertically or horizontally and has notches on the sides to allow you to attach wire or string to hang it. The original linked chain IS included but the ends are split open and will need repaired to be able to hold them onto the frame. The steel backing piece is also original and is held in place by attached/ permenant fold-over tabs. Frame measures approx. 14 1/4 inches wide. 21 3/4 ... moreinches tall and 2" deep.
