Very cute and excellent metal frame that opens at the corner with a little tab, for changing the picture. Era 1920’s more or less. Size is 3½” wide by 5” tall. These type frames were popular back in the‘20’s and has a shiny pearlized look to the metal, unusual but nice. I believe this is a postcard cut down to fit the frame. Vintage Curved Glass Farm Picture in Wood Frame, 1920's
Vintage curved glass picture in nice wood frame. 25" wide 21" high. Frame is 1" thick with curve extending about another inch. Farm scene. I don't know whether its a print or original. Did not take it apart. You can tell the age by the back of the picture and I did not want to disturb it. I know the frame was faux painted, they did that to make the wood look like mahagany in that era and it has a painted gold trim. VINTAGE WALNUT FRAME WITH COLORFUL STYLE ART DECO LADIES’ FASHIONS FOR THE BEACH. Frame contains a vintage print. The vintage print is circa 1960– 1970’s– a copy of some of the fashion prints from the old McCall’s or Ladies Home Journal magazine. The walnut frame is from 1920’s- 1940’s and almost looks hand made if you look at the back of the frame. Flat walnut molding for the frame with original good color finish. Outer measurements of the frame are 12 ¼ inches by 17 ¼ inches. Size of the opening for the glass and contents is 11 inches by 16 inches. The flat walnut molding measures over 1 inch wide from the front and about 1 inch deep from the side. Nice molding. A few superficial scratches on the wood. Tiny space at the upper left front corner– see photo. The print is in good condition– not torn. Not faded. Really looks like it ... moreis right out of an Art Deco magazine except that the size of the print is too large. Print has glass and cardboard backing. Print is good– not discolored. Not torn. I purchased this beautiful beaded frame at an auction in Thunder Bay. Ontario, Canada in 2009 at a first nations reservation. The frame is 6" wide and 9" long. This framed piece has a story behind it that I could only imagine! I found it at an estate sale. In a box, wrapped in bubble wrap. It had been missing quite a few of the tiny nails in the back that secured it's contents. What was left of the paper backing was removed[in order to have the nails replaced] and what I discovered is what you see in the photos. The photo of the child was a replacement for the original photo of the man& woman. Which would explain the loose and missing nails in back. The frame is magnificent! Made of wood that I am unable to identify. Sorry. The glass is thick and other than needing a cleaning is in great condition. What you see in my photos is what you will receive. It's in excellent condition, with the original celluloid covering for the picture AND the original turning latch to open and close the back. Antique Colorized Portrait Gesso & Wood Bubble Glass (Convex) Frame 1920-1930
What a find! A beautiful antique bubble(convex) frame ornate with rosettes tinted portrait of a young lady from the 1920's or 1930's. The Frame: The frame has aged beautifully with expected patina for the age. There are rubbed and scuffed places along the edges, some white from the plaster ornate rosettes is showing around the top. The wire picture hanger and eye hooks looks to be original to the frame but I cannot say for certain as it is an estate sale find. The glass is curved, no discoloration, no cracks, no chips, or scratches to the glass, and no major damage to the frame as well other than the expected aging. There are some slight splits in the gesso with no signs of any repair work being done to the frame and all details look to be original. The frame is octagon in shape with nails being placed around the picture backing to ... morehold the portrait in place. The frame measures 21 1/2" in height and 12 1/2" across and is 1" thick. The Portrait: The portrait is of a young girl holding what seems to be an Hydrangea flower bloom. From what I have researched; this is either a tinted or colorized portrait and is probably from the 1920's or 1930's based on her clothing. The style of portrait, and similar portraits I found from The Chicago Portrait Company. The background has a green, copper, and pinkish tint with pronounced brushstroke accents on each side of the young lady. There are also defined lines in the blouse and flower. There is no damage, discoloration, or fading of the portrait and appears to be made for the frame. Please wait to be invoiced for this item so that actual shipping costs my be invoiced accordingly. Vintage Art Deco wooden photo/picture frame with black& gold paint. It has an early photo of an elderly woman and is stamped on the back: Radiotone. Reg. U.S. Pat Off, Process Patented May 10, 1921, Radiotone Photo Company, Chicago, Illinois" It measures 14" wide. 12 1/2" high and 2 1/2" wide at the base. The inside measures 7 3/4" x 9 3/4" with a gold matte. The back has a heavy cardboard cover and is nailed in place. I'm assuming this frame holds a 8" x 10" photo or print. It is in good condition with minor paint loss and a few chips. A wonderful old Art deco frame that could be fitted with a mirror for your vanity or dresser for your period décor!

Most probably dating to 1910-1920's. The frame exterior measures 18 1/2 by 22 3/8 inches. All the beading is intact. As shown in the photos, the square nails hold the glass in place. This is a sepia tone. Highly colorized, photograph of a 1920's woman in a fabulous marcelled hairdo of the day in a carved Art Deco period wood frame. Found this at an outstanding upscale Estate Sale in Dallas about 25 years ago. There was no identification available for the subject, but there was speculation that she was an up and coming actress and friend of the family. I liked the look, especially the hair! Everything is in order with the condition with the exception of no glass and a mar in the paper on the top of the subject's head. This should be fairly easy to repair/restore. Wonderful Art Deco enameled picture frame. As you can see there is a photo of a young girl circa 1920's inside. It measures 1 1/2" tall. 1 1/8" wide. It has a cross hatch design under the enamel( guilloche) No markings but most likely French in origin. The frame took on a funny copper color when I took the photos, but it is more of a brass color, not so reddish. There are no white spots in the enamel, its glare. For your consideration is a beautiful brass gilt frame c Early 20th century. The field is burgundy velvet and inside the frame is the original field of a very pale pink satin. The glass appears original and has some tiny chipping around the edges(which are only visible when you remove the glass) Gold leaves appear to hold the circle inside of the frame. Antique METAL Oval Wall picture Frame with curved glass 1900-1920's. EXCELLENT! Up for auction is an Excellent Antique Wall Frame& picture. This frame is all metal/tin work, just fantastic, brushed gold edging with nice 4 filigree designs on each side, it has curved glass, that has no chips or cracks. There is a small area where white paint got on the frame(see picture) I was able to peel away a small piece, but I will leave it to the buyer to clean it. The hole piece will need a good cleaning, this has been stored away for a long time. I wiped it down, but nothing else. The backing is also all metal/tin, and complete. There are some scratches on the back metal and the back inside frame, but this only adds to the wonderful patina and look of this beautiful piece. It is the original backing, and has the original hanging hardware, that ... moreloops into the metal tabs built into the frame. The glass is in excellent condition(also needs cleaning) and original to the frame. Very Pretty frame with a very handsome man inside. Approx. Measurements over all are: 24 1/2" tall x 16 1/2" wide.
