Antique decorative iron & brass picture frame w/attached stand for 3.5"x5" photo
This decorative antique picture frame measures 7 1/2" wide x 10 1/2" tall. I believe it may be iron with a brass finish(a magnet has some pull to it. But it doesn't hold. It holds a 3 1/2" x 5" photo and has four pivoting photo holders on the back for easy access. It also has a pivoting stand attached that can be laid flat against the frame to hang the picture on the wall. Or turned out to stand on its own. This is a heavy-duty frame. Antique Old Master style gold leaf frame/11&1/2" x 11&1/2", 9&3/4" with spandrel
If you're looking to frame an Old Master piece in an appropriate frame. Then this could be the one you're looking for. It's an Italian frame, finished in what I think is gold leaf, and I think it probably dates from the 1920s. This frame comes with a beautiful spandrel and can be used with or without it. Without the spandrel, the rabbet is 11&1/2" by 11&1/2. With it, the diameter is 9&3/4. Overall, the frame is 15" by 15. Condition is as found and as shown. The oval frame measures 2 3/4" tall X 2 1/8" wide. It has an easel back with 3 locking tabs. The frame is in good antique condition. However. The frame has replaced feet and there is a carved hole in the top that probably held a ball finial. This exquisite frame features intricate pierced carving with birds and flowers. You are bidding on some unique pictures. These were handmade sometime in the 30s or 40s by my husband’s great uncle. The frames are wooden painted white with gold highlights. They measure 11” by 13” and are about 1 ¾” deep. They have cardboard tacked on the back with a wire for hanging. The opening is lined with a sort of pinkish. Salmon velvet. The opening is about 7 ½” by 9 ½” The ceramic plaque that is framed is about 6” by 5” The plaque is a three dimensional plaque with a Victorian couple. The plaque is porcelain. Both pictures have the same figures. But in reverse. I see no chips or missing parts on the porcelain. I do not know if there is a maker on the back of the plaque since it is sealed in. This is a lovely. Antique Eastlake frame dating from 1860- 1890 and it is in very good condition. Even the glass appears to be authentic with slight waves& a few tiny bubbles. The overall measurements are 14" wide and 16" tall and 3.25" deep. The interior print/ photo window is 8" by 10" Construction on this lovely 3-tier frame: ~ Outer- Solid Walnut with a thin gilt groove along entire front top surface. The walnut is beveled and 2" deep. ~ Middle- Multi- beveled; gilted level and a black/ gilt cross hatch design level. Total 1" depth. ~ Inner- 1/2" of beveled. Black wood, 1" of faux marble(deep green) etched on each corner with stem of flowers. Then the inner most liner is gentle bevel of gilt/ gold. There is overall patina. Commensurate with age, which adds to the antique value. There is ... morealso one, approximately 1" surface scrape along the left top back edge- barely noticeable and hidden behind a rolled walnut bevel. As for the print and backing- A lovely lady portrait in Victorian finery. The back(wall side) is covered in soft green felt. 10.5" by 12.75" which appears newer and professionally added at a later date. Along with a sawtooth hanger. Gorgeous Antique Fancy Ornate Gesso Frame - 3 Layers Gold and Silver-Godey 1872
Beautiful antique wood and gesso frame. In it's original finish and good overall condition. This ornate frame is 13 1/2" x 15 1/2" overall and 2 1/8" deep. With the back opening measuring 10 1/4" x 12 1/8" The gesso is in excellent condition and there are 3 layers of different design. Including scrolls, acanthus leaves and small floral sprays. Getting harder to find these old frames in such good condition. There is some minor chipping on the edge corners, not to the gesso. With the worst being at the upper top left. An 1872 Godey fashion print is housed in the frame. The frame has glass and the original wooden backboard. I charge only actual postage and insurance. Antique K & Co. Metal Picture Frame 3.5" x 5.5"
Very neat picture frame with an antique look. Engraving around the edges looks professional. Many scratches on the finish. The glass has a small chip in it. The yellow tape was used to hold the glass in. One of the corners is no longer attached as shown in the pictures. Frame can swivel to near horizontal. K& Co. is engraved on the top of the stand. There is felt on the bottom that is starting to unglue around the edges. Very neat picture frame with an antique look.
