Art Nouveau Green Glass Perfume Bottle with Silver Overlay Hopkinsville
Beautiful emerald glass perfume bottle with silver overlay that spells out Hopkinsville. I assume Kentucky, considering how close it is. In fair shape, with scuffs to the silver, especially on the top ring, an odd ding on the top and a ding on the silver on the stopper. There also appears to be some damage to the inside glass neck, which must have been done during manufacture, since it's under the silver. There seems to be cracks or crazing, but I can't get a picture or even a good look at it. There are absolutely no marks, though it seems to match those made by Alvin and Gorham. There is either a g8 or 98 inscribed into the bottom of the stopper. The bottle it 2 3/8" high without the stopper, and 3 7/8" with the stopper.

Antique Gorham Perfume Bottle with Silver Overlay This is an Antique Glass Perfume Bottle with Silver Overlay made by Gorham. The bottle measures almost 4 3/4" tall with the stopper(see photo# 12) and almost 3 3/4" without the stopper. Both the bottle and the stopper have no chips or cracks and the silver on the bottle has not been monogrammed. The bottle is marked with both a style number(D908) and the Gorham Maker's Mark(see photo# 11) The style of the Gorham Company Maker's Mark indicates that the bottle was made during the last quarter of the 19th century. The perfume bottle is in excellent condition for its age. I purchased this perfume bottle about 15 years ago from an antique dealer. Antique Alvin Glass Perfume Bottle w/ Silver Overlay - Pumpkin Shaped
Antique Alvin Perfume Bottle with Silver Overlay This is an Antique Glass Perfume Bottle with Silver Overlay made by Alvin Manufacturing Co. The bottle measures approximately 4 1/4" tall with the stopper(see photo#12) Both the bottle and the stopper have no chips or cracks and the silver on the bottle has not been monogrammed. There is a tiny dimple/indent on the silver overlay on the bottle(see photo#11) The perfume bottle was made by Alvin Manufacturing Co. Alvin was started in 1886 and was a competitor of Gorham Company and Tiffiny& Co. Alvin was purchased by Gorham in 1928. The marks on this bottle shows FINE and then the Alvin Maker's Mark(see photo#8) The maker's mark on the bottle has been worn but is still visible. The style of the Alvin mark indicates that this is one of Alvin's earlier productions which would ... morebe either late 1800's or very early 1900's. Antique c. 1890 Perfume Bottle Alvin Mfg .999 Silver Overlay 193 Shape Glass
For your consideration is this beautiful glass perfume bottle with pure.999 silver overlay by Alvin Manufacturing circa 1890. The bottle stands 3 1/4" tall with it's stopper and the overlay design is a flowery acutely stylish design typical of Art Nouveau. The silver has a monogram. I believe its"JBM" Some damage to the glass inside the neck but is stable and hidden behind the silver exterior collar. Stopper is perfect. Both stopper and bottle are marked"193" bottle has additional"ZZZ" mark. Alvin Manufacturing was founded in 1886 and was based in Providence, Rhode Island. Many bottles with an Alvin silver overlay were produced by Steuben(founded 1903) and were.925 silver(sterling) I believe this is a very early version since Steuben didn't exist until 1903, to my knowledge didn't have a"193" ... moreshape, and curiously the Alvin stamp shows the location of the bird and crescent in reverse to what is normally found in reference books. A very nice looking and old bottle!

A very nice Silver overlay Cobalt blue perfume bottle depicting a Venice canal scene on one side and loopy vines on the other. Original stoppers. No damages what so ever. Minor wear to bottom. 8 inches tall. A quality Victorian scent lay down bottle with a repousse silver top.The glass has a blue overlay. The perfume is 10 cms long. About 3 cms wide,with a weight of 57 grams.
