We were told from the estate where we found many treasures of amazing antiques that these perfume bottles with matching tray are said to have belong ed to the women's grandmother and from the late 1800's. These antique perfume bottles were found at an estate of a couple who traveled the world. Her and her husband were instrumental in starting the Cruise industry in and out of ports in Florida and they have several homes around the world. Offered as is. The dauber wand on ea ch is made of glass. The clear glass of each perfume bottle are in good shape. The metal on the ormolu gilt has a warm-like color aged bronze patina shaped as tassels into a bow- including the tray. Which is dusty and needs cleaning. The bottles measure about 7 1/4" tall and almost 4" wide(about 3 6/8" to be precise) Tray measures more than 20" long to ends of each or molu gilt brass-like metal tassel-tied handles. The glass is in nice condition, but there is the tip off of one corner( upper right) that is broke off. This is on the very corner, under the Prongs that hold the glass in place. The mirror is showing its age, cloudy, spots. There are the remnants of a old label on the bottom. The original lining is faded and is shredding. This is a Late 1800's French item. I have used it as a display piece in some of my other auctions featuring a 5" Pocket Doll, Mignonette. This measures 6 1/2" tall to the top of the fancy crown on mirror. It is about 3.5" across the body of the"Dresser" not counting the flare legs. So Would make a Excellent period Accessory for those tiny treasures. I can box safely for under a pound. VINTAGE STUNNING MATSON? ORNATE GOLD ROSE ORMOLU& GLASS PERFUME BOTTLE DAUBER This is a stunningly beautiful. Ornate example of Vintage Ormolu perfume bottle. I believe it to be Matson but I have not located any marking. It is tall 7 1/2 inches to top of stopper. The gold cover over bottle very ornate filigree with roses then a separation between the sheath and the ornate floral gold collar around the neck of the bottle. I can not get this part unscrewed to clean the bottle. The metal piece in the neck of the bottle fairly narrow and the tall ornate stopper fits snugly into that. This is an especially tall, especially fancy especially gold top stopper finial. Really beautiful and very Victorian looking. The tall oval upsweeps into a rose at the top. The gold filigree on this bottle is especially heavy and especially dense covering for ... morethe glass bottle. The glass bottle that is visible is without chips and cracks but I can't look at all of it since I can't get the neck unscrewed to get at it. Everything is intact that I can see. The glass dauber is intact. It happens to be especially short. I don't understand why. It is not broken-the dauber ends in a small bulb shape as it should, it's just shorter than usual. This is really a spectacular ormolu perfume bottle.
