They are 5 inches in diameter and the domed glass is about 1 inch high. Very nice condition with only 1 flower broken loose. And a few small flecks also loose. Glass is excellent. They have a round metal hanger on the back. The first and third picture shows the back ground close to what is truly is. It is more cream than white. These were among my Mothers' things. Several weeks ago I went to a estate sale in the country and bought what I thought was two old printing cylinders. I thought they were just neat looking. It turns out that they are antique wall paper print rollers that have become very popular as a decor item and are used to make very nice lamps. Vases or stand alone decor. They are very heavy metal cylinders with a embossed design used 1920s to print wallpaper. They are approximately 10" tall and 4 1/2" in diameter. One is marked Luminite 9045 3B. I was unable to find a maker on either of these pieces. One is pince nez style and measures 3.5" long x 1.5" wide. The wire spectacles measure just under 4.5" x 1" with the bows measuring 4.25" Both items show signs of wear including a few scratches to glass with some discoloration and wear to metals. This offer is for two antique lithographs. The first is entitled"Baby Stuart" This is the one I am showing with the frame. I could not find any specific information on Baby Stuart. However. This appears to be a Polish child, probably from the 1700's. I did open the frame and under this picture was another lithographic print with the title"Countess Potoka" On researching the countess, I was able to find a duplicate of this same picture of the countess; however, her name is actually spelled Potocka. There are memoirs and many portraits and drawings of this famous countess. I would encourage you to research this subject as well as this depiction of her. She lived in the 1700's. Also at the bottom of both prints is printed"Published by Slausten& Co. The wording is too small to photograph that detail. Both ... moreprints are done on very course. Grainy paper. The paper is a brownish color on the back. I have provided a photograph of the back of the print in case this is of value to the buyer. I have photographed Baby Stuart in the frame they came in. As you can see in my photos, the frame is very friable and fragile and not in good condition. It appears to be approximately from the 1800's. I took photographs without flash to try to get the truest representation of these items. It does appear to my naked eye that the actual print of Baby Stuart is darker than my photo shows. I have not enhanced the photos in any way except to crop out any background. I do not claim to be an antique expert. However. Antique 18C French Snuff Box - Pique Gold Inlaid 2-tone Gold (#4338)
Antique snuff or trinket box. Made in 18th century France. Probably during the reign of Louis XVI. 2 3/8 inches in diameter(just under 2 1/2 inches) 1/2 inch tall. Total weight is 39.4grams. Round box with removable lid. Sides and bottom with reinforcing edging rings of gold. Delicately adorned with minute beading. Rim on top has larger gold beads. The box is made from blond pique, entirely covered in a pattern of gold dots and gold flowers within a square latticework. The patterning is done in a combination of yellow and pink-red gold. Very delicate and very beautiful. There are a number of hallmarks on the gold banding. The box is in very good condition with no damage and the lid still fits perfectly after more than 200 years. For your consideration is a framed piece of antique Victorian glass bead and needle point work. The beading is done in beautiful colors combined with clear beads and in perfect condition. The needle work is beautifully crafted as well. The only condition issue on the needlework is in the top right in the red area. See photo#8 for a close up. I have had this piece of needlework for over 20 years and I received it with the condition issues at that time. The piece was framed about 12 years ago. The mat is suede finish and the frame is nicely detailed to compliment the textile. There is a small chip on the frame in the top left corner, see photo 5 for detail. Here is 3 pieces of antique carved faux ivory that are getting harder to find. And these are all still in very nice shape. These 2 little egg cups are really sweet plus there is a great solid life size egg, all have a great shine, feel, and color! They have very nice detail and craftsmanship and all still look wonderful for there age! Sorry my pics are not good, I have to say they all look way better in person! Also they could use a little clean up but i am going to leave that up to you, to be honest I wouldn't have a clue what to use and I do not want to mess them up! They both measure close to 2 3/4 inches tall and across the top it's 1.5 inches the other is 1 3/4 at top and the egg measures 1 1/2 inches wide by almost 2 inches long and they all are as smooth as a babies bottom! The cups have a felt bottom with a very nice smooth ... moreedge on top with a very small lip or edge, inside is a little rougher. Cups are 90.3 grams and 101.2 and the egg is 82.4 grams for a total of 274.9 grams. They all 3 do have a few age or stress lines one more then others but nothing looks real bad no chips or breaks and they will look better after a good cleaning! The English also used these, often though, the ... moreEnglish shagreen is of a coarser scale and not so fine as the French, who seemed to use only the belly leather of the stingray to get this very fine pore leather you see here. Yes, shagreen is the leather from the stingray, sometimes from shark as well, but for the most part it was the stingray. The leather is singularly spectacular for that reason alone, but look at how well this etui has survived, which is not the case so often in these, since they were functional and not just decorative objects. The set includes almost all of the original fitted implements as you can see. The one scent flask has a missing silver lid, and there would have been a tiny silver funnel resting in that velvet tube/post between the bottles, which is no longer in place. beautiful antique Thayer& Chandler T& C Chicago F. R. Co New York brass grape and vine box. also marked on the back with F. H. Deknatel copyright 1910. the box measures just a hair over 6" wide. 2 3/4" tall and 5 1/2" deep(front to back) it needs a good brass cleaning, as it currently has lots of great patina on it. on the front left as you look at the box, on the bottom, there is a tiny brass brad that is missing, so the brass is pulled away from the box, as you can see in the picture where i am holding it in, it will go back in place easily with an identical brad to the others in the box. i didn't want to put one in as i wanted to leave it as original. the box is lined with a green velvet type material- which needs a good cleaning, leaving that up to the buyer as i don't want to ruin it. in overall good condition ... morefor its age- but does need cleaning and a little tlc- up to the new owner. it has a grape, leaf and vine raised pattern throughout it. i also have a rectangular box that matches this- i would be happy to combine shipping on them.
